CALENDAR OF EVENTS December 9, 10, 16, 17, 24, 30 & 31 • The Lake Area Duplicate Bridge Club meets every Thursday from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Westside Senior Center and every Friday from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Osage Beach Senior Center. For more information contact Barb at 573-3179477 or Bill at 573-378-4524.  3 & 4 • On December 3, a Christmas tree lighting will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. on the Camden County Courthouse lawn. A live reindeer display, photos with Mrs. Claus, hot chocolate and mulled cider and a bell choir will perform. On December 4 from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Christmas on the Square will be held with games and entertainment. Santa arrives at 11 a.m. A petting zoo, music, nativity scene, crafts, giveaways, hot dogs, cookies and hot chocolate will be served. Enter to win a holiday meal and bring a few canned good items to participate in the Can-Do Challenge. All donations go to the LAMB House to provide for those in need. 3 • Mother/Daughter weekend will be held at Wonderland Camp. This fun event is open for any mother/grandmother/aunt/female role model and their daughter/special girl in their life. Sign up at www.wonderlandcamp.org or call 573-392-1000. The cost is $200 for one adult and one child and $50 for any additional child or mom. All activities, accommodations in our heated cabins, and food are included. 4 • The 4 Fore 30 Backyard Ultra will be held at Lake Valley Golf Club. Racers line up at 7 a.m. and have one hour to complete the more than 4 mile loop at the golf course. At the top of each hour, the process repeats until there is one person remaining. Cost is $100 with all profits going to Kids’ Harbor. For more information, go to www.4fore30.com. 4 • The 41st annual School of the Osage Holiday Bazaar will be held at the School of the Osage Middle School from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be more than 100 booths selling all kinds of items. For more information, go to the School of the Osage Holiday Bazaar on Facebook. 4 •  Wonderland Camp will host a Winter Wonderland from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at 3870 Columbia Ave., Osage Beach. Face painting, arts and crafts and a special performance by the School of the Osage Upper Elementary All-State Children’s Choir will be at 10:30 a.m. 4 • The Osage Beach Elks Lodge #2517 will host its annual Christmas Charity Auction. Silent auction from 1-2:30 p.m., live auction at 3 p.m. Proceeds will purchase Christmas toys and food baskets for local families in need. For more information, call 573-348-3798. 5 •  The Lake Area Chorale will host a concert, “Christmas Time is Here,” at the United Methodist Church in Laurie at 2 p.m. Admission is free but donations are welcome. 5 •  The Lake Area Community Orchestra will perform a free concert at the Versailles Royal Theater at 7 p.m. Free will donations are welcome. This event, as are all Iowa Reunion Club events, is open to all current 2021 club members. For more information, go to www. theroyaltheatre.com. 11 •  The 37th annual Lake Ozark Christmas Parade will take place at 1 p.m. on the Bagnell Dam Strip. Parade entries line up along Rte. 242. Santa will make his appearance exclusively in the parade and elves will distribute gift bags along the route in lieu of a personal visit. Cocktails are at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 6:30 p.m. The event helps over 1,600 children around the Lake area have presents to open at Christmas. A silent and live auction is held and entertainment will be provided by Elite Lighting & Sound. Sponsorships are available or tickets are available for $100/person. Everyone is asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy ($20 value) or $20 cash donation upon entry.
