Dear Members,
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season with family and friends and best wishes for a healthy and prosperous new year! On behalf of the entire Lake Nona Golf & Country Club team, I would like to extend a sincere and genuine thank you for your generous contributions to the Employee Holiday Fund. This fund provides the opportunity to express appreciation to our 201 team members in recognition of their devoted efforts throughout the year and is greatly appreciated by all.
This year's joyful holiday season featured the most events to date at the Club! Highlights included: the annual Holiday Tree Lighting, LNLA’s Jingle & Mingle Holiday Shopping Event, Christmas Vacation Holiday Celebration, Comfort & Joy Family Night, and Christmas Eve Brunch with Santa, where families and friends enjoyed engaging holiday activities, delectable food and beverages, and not one, but two visits from Santa! Daily hot cocoa and gingerbread treats in the Solheim Room were a huge hit, spreading holiday cheer to all, especially to our youngest members. I'd be remiss to not mention the Wheel Watcher Party as Members and staff alike gathered to cheer on our Director of Fitness & Sports Performance, Lisa Santangelo, to the final round of Wheel of Fortune - congratulations Lisa! At the time of this article, we are preparing for our first-ever NYE Family Celebration, which will no doubt be an exciting and energetic way to ring in 2025! In addition, to our Club-wide events, we also had the pleasure of hosting an array of Member holiday parties. We have truly enjoyed seeing so many of you enjoying the Club this festive time of year. We are enthusiastic to continue this momentum into 2025 with a robust calendar of engaging programming. I encourage you to join us for upcoming events and activities across all areas of the Club, highlighted in this issue of Lakeviews
This month, we are pleased to welcome back the highly anticipated return of the LPGA Tour's seasonopener, the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, to Lake Nona Golf & Country Club on January 30 – February 2. The star-studded field will feature LPGA Tour champions from the previous two seasons to compete alongside celebrities spanning the music, entertainment and sports industries. This unique opportunity will once again be an exceptional experience for our Members to enjoy the tournament with access to fully hosted hospitality areas, along with exciting entertainment at Boxi Park in Lake Nona Town Center. We are excited for the Club, the golf course, and the entire Lake Nona community, to once again be showcased on a global scale.
In Club expansion and renovation news, the annex expansion is progressing as scheduled. We have established a temporary men’s patio area located outside the Men’s Grill, along with a separate smoking area with Adirondack chairs just on the other side of the cart path to the right of the construction fence. Additionally, the pickleball courts and the hard tennis court are scheduled to reopen in mid-January and we will keep you posted as to the exact date as we get nearer to completing this project. To celebrate, we will be hosting a fun Pickleball Re-Grand Opening event on January 24, and we encourage all Members to join us!
As we begin a new year with renewed appreciation and gratitude for this wonderful Club community, the team remains focused on enhancing your Member experience with engaging programming, and team member building and training in our continued efforts to make Lake Nona Golf & Country Club the special place that it is for so many Members, families, friends and staff. As we begin to implement our 2025 goals and objectives, your feedback is always welcomed and encouraged. Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to seeing you at the Club.
Sincerely,
Brian Pizzimenti, CCM General Manager

WELCOME TO 2025!
As we embark on another exciting year, we look forward to more fantastic golf ahead. January and February are typically our busiest months on the course due to the combination of perfect weather, shorter daylight hours, and a high demand for play. To ensure an enjoyable experience for all Members:
• Expected Round Time: The anticipated round time on our course is four hours. While faster rounds are always welcome, it is crucial to maintain a pace that allows for a smooth flow of play and proper course maintenance.
• Cart Pairing: To minimize traffic on the course and ensure adequate cart availability, we may occasionally request that Members pair up in golf carts. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this regard.
COURSE ETIQUETTE
As a reminder, it is every Members' responsibility and duty to be good stewards of the course by following these etiquette guidelines: repair pitch marks on greens, filling divots on the fairway with the sand provided on your cart, and raking bunkers to leave them smooth for the next player. We appreciate your cooperation in preserving the playing conditions for everyone's enjoyment.
SEE YOU THERE!
Lake Nona will host the HGV LPGA Tournament of Champions January 30 - February 2. We are thrilled to welcome the world's best female golfers to our course and cheer on our Members who are all qualified to compete: Leona Maguire, Moriya Jutanugarn, and Lydia Ko.
We look forward to a fantastic 2025 golf season!

COURSE NEWS
NICHOLAS DOLIMPIO
ndolimpio@lakenona.com
407.209.1281
Happy New Year! We are excited to kick off 2025 with an incredible, annual event - the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. To prepare and host this event, the course will be closed beginning on Saturday, January 25, and we look forward to returning it to you in pristine condition for Member play starting at noon on Monday, February 3.
Hosting an event of this magnitude is a proud moment for Lake Nona and our team is dedicated to presenting the course at its absolute best. During the tournament, we’ll focus on maintaining peak conditions that highlight the meticulous care and attention our course receives year-round. Thank you for your understanding and support as we prepare for this exciting event.
COURSE CARE REMINDERS
As we move into a busy and exciting year, I want to take a moment to address some course etiquette that will help us all maintain the exceptional conditions everyone expects at Lake Nona. Recently, we’ve noticed an increase in unrepaired ball marks on greens as well as unraked bunkers. These small acts of care make a big difference in keeping the course enjoyable for everyone:
• Fix Ball Marks: Always repair your own ball mark on the green and, if possible, one additional mark. Properly repaired ball marks heal faster and help maintain smooth putting surfaces.
• Rake Bunkers: After playing from a bunker, please rake it thoroughly to ensure the next golfer can experience it in good condition.
• Fill Divots: In fairways, use the sand provided on your cart to fill divots, promoting quicker turf recovery.
Your attention to these details helps preserve the course’s playability and beauty for all players.
We look forward to a fantastic 2025 and seeing you out on the course. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to maintaining the high standards of Lake Nona Golf & Country Club. Let’s work together to make this a great year for golf!
TOURNAMENT RESULTS
LAKE NONA / BAY HILL PRO-MEMBER-GUEST
DECEMBER 4 - 6
Congratulations to Lake Nona's Head of Club Fitting Taylor Fulbright who won the Professional Championship with a score of (-7)! In the same division, Director of Golf Matt Collis also finished runner-up at (-4) and Golf Professional Chris Mandia finished tenth with a score of (+5).
Congratulations is also in order for Lake Nona's best-placed Member team - Jeff Knipe, who finished third, and John Mark Wilhite, who finished tied for fourth!
CART POLICY REMINDERS
As we approach our winter season, our busiest months on the course, we want to share a friendly reminder regarding golf cart policies intended to protect the course conditions for your continued enjoyment.
Carts must remain on cart paths around all tees and greens complexes.

On behalf of the team at the Bath & Racquet Club, I would like to wish you and your families a happy and healthy New Year! Tennis and pickleball provide excellent health benefits as well as opportunities to socialize with fellow Members. I hope that among your New Year’s resolutions, is the initiative to discover these lifelong sports or to further develop your skills, as our racquet sports program offers ample opportunities for every level of play.
Adult clinics consist of a 60-minute drills session and 30 minutes of doubles’ play in a social setting. For those interested in solo practice, I encourage you to consider private lessons or try our pickleball and tennis ball machines, which are a great tool for enhancing a particular stroke and/or patterns of play. In league news, our Lake Nona ladies' tennis teams return to the courts the second week of January. All matches get underway at 9:00 a.m. and I encourage you to come out to cheer on our dedicated players.
Junior after-school clinics resume Monday, January 6. Available on weekday afternoons, these clinics are designed for beginners to advanced players. For the youngest players (ages 3 - 10), our popular QuickStart Tennis on Saturday mornings consists of eye-hand coordination drills incorporated with fun games and will resume January 11.
Lastly, we are excited for the re-opening of the pickleball and hard courts and encourage all Members to join us for a Re-Grand Opening celebration on January 24 (details on p. 37). See you on the courts!
