BODY PAINT

Onya Becks has been is a Belfast based drag performer who has been entertaining the masses across Ireland and the UK for over eight years. Due to all of this year’s lockdown restrictions she has had a bit more time on her hands and has put that to good use learning a new hobby - body painting! Using this technique she transforms herself into many different characters, here she shares a few of her favourites and tells us how she achieved the look.

You can follow Onya on her social channels: Instagram @mistressonyabecks, Facebook @onya.becks and Twitter @missyonyabecks .

I’m not bad, just drawn that way! Jessica rabbit was hard, as I kept trying to paint for Onya Becks without thinking! Using a character with normal skin colour is jarring as my natural reaction was to do a full Onya Becks look! I’m happy with the result, though might redo it in the future as there’s parts I’d like to improve on.

Marge Simpson festive edition! I love the Simpson and really wanted to do something based on them! So I figured since there first episode was a Christmas episode they sort of count!

Rudolf the twink raindeer! A cheeky twist on a festive classic! I love adding a Queer theme to characters sometimes!

Lucifer body paint, I used Mehron star blend cake aqua paint, then used white aqua paint to highlight and black and dark blue paints to shade. I applied the prosthetic horns and ears with pros aid and liquid latex to blend the prosthetics in.

1, 2 Freddy’s coming for you! Freddy was 12 hours!! Trying to create texture using only make up (no prosthetics) and creating the ripped jumper effect and glove! Though I was so happy with the end result! Though I don’t know if I’d do another 12 hour paint again lol
