THE RIVER // ROOMS SITUATED ON THE BANKS OF the River Lagan the newly styled River Rooms is due to open its doors once again when restrictions are lifted. This beautiful iconic building Formerly Tedfords, built in 1851 is set over 3 floors where it is home to CLOUD, a funky basement tapas and cocktail's lounge, Ted’s Restaurant where you can indulge yourself in some fine cuisine and The Lagan suite, the perfect venue for organising a private function or boutique style wedding. Mal & Moe Houston who own the River Rooms started out on this venture in January 2020 and decided during the pandemic if they didn't move now, they possibly never would and opened their doors all be it briefly in December where they received some lovely positive feedback. They believe that they will move the restaurant on to bigger and better things with the support of their family and friends and of course the general public. Being in hospitality for many years Mal ran The Culture Club in the city, a favourite spot for the LGBTQ+ community who attended the many nights that they supported. It was Mal's dream to have a business that he could

develop and call his own and believes The River rooms is the perfect venue to achieve this. "With 3 different styles over the 3 floors our restaurant aims to be a fun & funky place to come and eat, socialise, chill and enjoy some music. As the building has been Tedford’s for many years, we tried to keep a part of the name attached and so Ted's Restaurant was born. Everyone will be given the warmest of welcomes from our friendly staff. So, we hope you will pay us a visit in the not so distant future.
