JOHN SAITO, MD, FAAP, FCCP

Board Certified in Pediatrics, Pulmonary, and Sleep Medicine

Dr. John Saito is especially focused on finding and fixing “Toxic Sleep,” a term that he coined to represent poor sleep quality due to disordered breathing plus hypoxia (lack of oxygen) during sleep. “Toxic Sleep” not only increases risk of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, kidney disease, cancer, and dementia, but also increases acute COVID-19 disease severity along with prolonging chronic post-COVID-19 symptoms.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Saito has been recognized for his advocacy and charity work in Orange County. “My practice is uniquely focused on helping children and adults who struggle with persistent symptoms after COVID-19 infections.”

Dr. Saito received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA, and completed his residency at Orlando Regional Health System, Orlando, FL. His pediatric pulmonology fellowship was completed at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, N.C. His sleep training was completed at Cook Children’s Medical Center, Fort Worth, TX. He specializes in the care of children and adults with respiratory and sleep disorders.

As the director of the Saito Rejuvenation Center, he says the most rewarding aspect of his work is helping clients, “Breathe Well. Sleep Well. Live Well.”
