Fire Safety measures came as a dire need after some tragic incidents that claimed the lives of hundreds. 01. Tokyo, Japan Topping The Economist's 2017 safe cities index, is Tokyo. The city has around 9.2 million people yet the street crime rate is close to zero. They have ranked number one in the Digital Security. Tokyo has also VKRZQ VLJQLȴFDQW SURJUHVV LQ +HDOWK 6HFXULW\ 6LQFH 2015 they have made a whopping 7 point improvement. To ensure highest security, the Tokyo Police launched ‘Public Private Partnership’ initiative where Tokyo Police, Administrative Agencies and Private Businesses come together to counter terrorist attacks.

02. Singapore, Singapore The island nation’s capital ranks number one in Infrastructural and Personal Security and second in Digital Security. In 2016 Singapore reported 135 days without crime of any sort! The secret to their success is their strong surveillance system that includes 62,000 cameras all over the city since 2012. In 2017 they declared another initiative to roll out yet another spree of cameras around the city.

03. Osaka, Japan Japan being one of the safest countries of the world, has successfully ranked two of its cities in this list. Osaka WRSV WKH OLVW IRU +HDOWK 6HFXULW\ DQG UDQNV WKLUG LQ Personal Security. Osaka is also going strong in aspects like Digital and Infrastructural Security, ranking 11thand 14th respectively.In 2007, Osaka reported 79 murders and 109 rapes out of its population of 10 million.

04. Toronto, Canada Toronto has demonstrated their strength in Personal Security, ranking 5th in the index. To achieve this, the Toronto Police has introduced The Public Safety Data Portal which allows people to see for themselves, the FULPH DQG WUDɝF FRQGLWLRQ RI HDFK QHLJKERUKRRG LQ WKH city. Toronto is also solid in Digital Security, standing in 7 thplace in the world.

05. Melbourne, Australia Melbourne has a very well maintained internal security system. It has ranked number 7 in infrastructure, 8 in Personal and 9 in Health Security. It is dragged down only by its Digital Security. However, Melbourne has in fact made a 10 point improvement in Digital Security since 2015. Overall crime rate is considered very low in Melbourne, thanks to their extensive surveillance around the city.

06. Amsterdam, Netherlands Amsterdam holds the 6th position in Infrastructure Security. It is also well regulated in terms of Personal and Health Security with a rank of 10 and 12 respectively. Amsterdam has made note worthy accomplishments in Digital Security, securing 4th position in the index. Amsterdam is home to the world’s second busiest Internet Exchange, Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX). They pride themselves with the title of ‘Digital Gateway to Europe’

07. Sydney, Australia Sydney is thriving in Health and Infrastructure security in particular. They have a ranking of 6 and 9 in the index of 60 cities. In 2014 Sydney introduced Lockout Laws that has resulted in reduction of violence and hospital emergency rates. The Lockout Laws is a declaration of 1:30 am lockout and 3 am last drinks in bars and pubs.

08. Stockholm, Sweden Sweden has portrayed their success in Infrastructural Security with an impressive 4th position in the list. They have ranked 9th in Personal Security, 10th in Health Security and 13th in Digital Security. Stockholm is considered to be one of the safest cities in Europe with considerably low crime rates.

09. Hong Kong The safety standards in Hong Kong are rather high. 10. Zurich, Switzerland Zurich is marked as the world’s 10th safest city. The Swiss city has a very low overall crime rate and they are known to have no dangerous areas that possess any serious threat to security.

This is the reason why the majority population of Nepal is vulnerable in falling back under the poverty line, or struggling to hold on to their economic stability.

In 2014, the price of an apartment unit in a residential development project started at $20,735 in Nepal. One location that is perceived as ideal for buying property in Nepal is Bhaktapur. It is an ancient Newar town in the East corner of the capital, considered as the ‘cultural gem,’ mostly with Hindu and Buddhist corners of architectures and arts. Bijeshwari, Katanju, Nilbarahi and Balkot are some other potential investment options. Foreigners may purchase properties, but in their business’s name and not in their own.

Summing It Up It’s safe to say that while Bangladesh is a developing country trying its best to elevate its status, Nepal is one of the least developing countries statistically. No Security Guards

No Street Lights

It is okay if your neighborhood does not have highly trained G4S guards. But make sure they at least have watchmen who looks after the roads throughout the day and night. Watchmen only at the entrance is usually not good enough. Opt for areas that have guards placed in all the blocks or prime spots. Check if the security guards are not just there for show. Make sure if they interrogate suspicious activities or at least try to take action when they spot any misconduct.

Street Lights are a must. If streets look perfectly safe during the day but turn pitch black as the night DSSURDFKHV NQRZ WKDW WKLV LV UHG ČľDJ 7RWDO EODFNRXW LQ the streets at night usually entails high risk of burglary, break-ins, thefts and robbery. So, if you do not wish to fall into the hands of a chain snatcher while going home from work, make sure your streets are illuminated with lights.

BinatBibi Mosque BinatBibi Mosque in one of the earliest-dating mosques that has survived the turmoil of the city through time. It was built in 1454 by the daughter of Marhamat, BakhtBinat, during the rule of Sultan Nasiruddin Mahmud Shah. The mosque is situated in Hayat Bepari’s Bridge in Narinda. The architecture of the mosque was planned in a square shape with a 12 feet dome, with another internal hemispherical dome atop the square room. The mosque has entrances from east, north, and south. Cornices, battlements, octagonal turrets and arches are some of its Mughal inspired features with modest ornamentation and plaster.

Chowk Mosque Chowkbazar Shahi Mosque is situated in the Chowk Bazaar area of old Dhaka that is in the south of the city. Constructed in 1676 by Subahdar Shaista Khan, the mosque is named accordingly as Shahi. It was originally built on a raised platform, but now the three-domed mosques on the platform have been transformed into a multi-storied structure. It is inspired by another one of Shaista Khan’s three-domed mosques near the Buriganga River, in Mitford Hospital compound. There are rooms inside the mosque to be used by the Imam and students from the Madrasa. The original design has worn out with time and with ongoing renovations and extensions.

It stands on a large platform with vaulted rooms for accommodations known as ’tahkhana’. Tahkhana is usually an underground room. The platform stretches for as far as 38.10 meters, with a height of about 5.18 meters from the ground. East of the tahkhana are stairs leading to the gateway of the main mosque comprising of a small space only. There is an open area located before the mosque, allowing breeze inside. The prayer hall has three domes. Above the central archway and Mihrab are Persian inscriptions, describing the details of its construction. The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has approved $95.24 million for the Rural and Peri-Urban Housing Finance Project in Bangladesh, according to a release the IDB received. The approval was given at the 320th meeting of the Board of Executive Directors of the Jeddah-based development bank held on Sunday. The meeting also approved a total of $1096.4 million to support a large number of development projects in its 57 member states, including Bangladesh.
