Editor’s Letter

Durante siglos, el ser humano ha observado el universo, se ha maravillado con él y lo ha estudiado: la Luna, el Sol, los planetas, las estrellas, los cometas; todos ellos son objetos astronómicos que inf luyen en nuestras vidas. Por ejemplo, recibir la energía vital que nos brinda el sol, decidir cuándo debemos sembrar una planta o cosechar un fruto, e incluso cuál es la manera adecuada de construir nuestras viviendas.

En esta edición les presentamos algunos espacios que se han diseñado con el fin de que los usuarios observen el paisaje astronómico para que ref lexionen y mediten sobre su entorno; aprenderemos sobre las plantas con actividades nocturnas, así como a elaborar relojes solares. Les invitamos a levantar la mirada para observar el cielo y disfrutar del paisaje de las estrellas, para que la inmensidad del universo nos recuerde que no importa en dónde vivamos, ya sea en una metrópoli, en la playa o en el campo, al final todos vivimos en un mismo lugar, en el planeta Tierra, y que nosotros somos los responsables de cuidar de él, para que las futuras generaciones también puedan disfrutar de este maravilloso lugar que llamamos hogar.

For centuries, human beings have observed the universe, marveled at it and studied it: the Moon, the Sun, the planets, the stars, the comets; all of them are astronomical objects that inf luence our lives. For example, receiving the vital energy that the sun gives us, deciding when we should plant a plant or harvest a fruit, and even what is the proper way to build our homes.

In this edit ion we present some spaces that have been designed in order for users to observe the astronomical landscape so that they can ref lect and meditate on their surroundings; We will learn about plants with nocturnal act ivit ies, as well as how to build sundials.

We invite you to look up to observe the sky and enjoy the landscape of the stars, so that the immensity of the universe can reminds us that it does not matter where we live; in a metropolis, on the beach or in the countryside, in the end we all live in the same place, on planet Earth, and we are responsible for taking care of it, so that future generat ions can also enjoy this wonderful place that we call home.

INRE siempre enfatiza el cambio de estaciones en sus proyectos de paisaje.

Las coníferas de hoja perenne forman el marco del sitio, con diferentes acentos de plantas en flor alternas en el fondo. En invierno, los árboles cubiertos de nieve y decorados con cuerdas de luces, crean una atmósfera de cuento de hadas invernal y levantan el ánimo. Los muebles móviles permiten el uso estacional de los terrenos, mientras que el área del salón alrededor de la chimenea, está disponible para los residentes e invitados de la residencia durante todo el año. INRE always emphasises the changing seasons in their landscape projects. Evergreen conifers form the framework of the site, with varying accents of alternating blossoming plants in the background. In winter, trees covered in snow and decorated with string lights create a winter fairytale atmosphere and uplift one's mood. Mobile furniture enables the seasonal use of the grounds, while the lounge area around the open fire is available to residents and guests of the residence all year round. The designers have also included winter decoration of the site: structures shaped like gift boxes protect the delicate rhododendrons from the cold and create a festive atmosphere during the long Russian winter.

Está destinada a ser un lugar de reflexión, silencio y oración, además de tener un contacto intrínseco con la naturaleza. La llegada a la Capilla está precedida inicialmente con un marco de concreto que permite visualizar una larga caminata en una pendiente poco pronunciada y escoltada con árboles de Chaká (Bursera simaruba), un camino que parece llevar a la profundidad de la tierra, dejando expuestas sus paredes en las cuales las texturas naturales invaden las ranuras de las capas del tiempo y al final, un espacio en donde puedas disfrutar el silencio y los sonidos de la naturaleza.

En la avenida Manuel Barreiro Cabanelas existen una serie de esculturas situadas en los hastiales de diversos tejados que representan figuras claramente reconocibles como son: Hermes, Deméter, una pandereteira y un gaiteiro, acompañadas por una escultura del conde que preside la plaza central. ¿Qué función cumple su ubicación? ¿Existe alguna relación entre las esculturas? A través de un profundo análisis paisajístico y escultórico establecemos la hipótesis de su posible vinculación con el ciclo de las estaciones.

La primera relación que encontramos se establece entre las divinidades, a través del mito del Rapto de Perséfone. Este cuenta cómo la única hija de Deméter y Zeus se encontraba recogiendo flores inocentemente cuando, de forma repentina, emergió de una grieta en el suelo Hades, dios del Inframundo, y raptó a la joven.

Ante el rapto de su hija, Deméter quedó tan triste que abandonó la protección de la Tierra, lo que provocó sequía y hambruna en todo el mundo. Zeus, ante tal situación, envió a su rescate a Hermes, quien obligó a Hades a devolverla.

On Manuel Barreiro Cabanelas avenue there are a series of sculptures located on the gables of various roofs that represent clearly recognizable figures such as: Hermes, Demeter, a tambourine and a bagpiper, accompanied by a sculpture of the count that presides over the central square. What role does your location serve? Is there a relationship between the sculptures? Through a deep landscape and sculptural analysis we establish the hypothesis of its possible link with the cycle of the seasons.

The first relationship that we find is established between the divinities, through the myth of the Rapture of Persephone. This tells how the only daughter of Demeter and Zeus was innocently picking flowers when, suddenly, Hades, god of the Underworld, emerged from a crack in the ground and kidnapped the young woman.

Before the kidnapping of her daughter, Demeter was so sad that she abandoned the protection of Earth, which caused drought and famine throughout the world. Zeus, faced with such a situation, sent Hermes to her rescue, who forced Hades to return her.

Hoy día, los relojes solares son objetos culturales que permiten disfrutar al ritmo adecuado un bello jardín. Son el complemento perfecto para “bajar las revoluciones” y predisponernos para percibir con calma todo lo que el paisaje puede ofrecernos.

En este tutorial realizarás la maqueta operativa de un reloj de sol horizontal (el más utilizado en paisajismo y jardines). Una vez que lo calcules, puedes mandarlo hacer en piedra, colocarlo sobre un pedestal, etc. Este método analítico puede aplicarse para cualquier latitud en el hemisferio norte del planeta: 1. Ubica tu latitud geográfica. Lo puedes hacer en Google Earth, con un globo terráqueo, etc.

¿QUÉ CONSEJOS LES DARÍA A LOS JÓVENES ARQUITECTOS PAISAJISTAS? El primer consejo es una actualización de conocimientos constante en diversos campos de conocimiento de interés; ingeniería, humanidades, científico, artes, tecnológico entre otros, y en diferentes niveles de estudio como el posgrado o la educación continua; parte de la actualización de preferencia en el extranjero o en instituciones educativas diferentes. Lo ideal es que sea después de haber tenido un tiempo de práctica profesional de 1 a 3 años.

El segundo, cambiar de ámbito de experiencia profesional con cierta frecuencia para tener una idea más precisa sobre el tipo y escala de trabajo en la que mejor se desarrollan.

La profesión ofrece una diversidad de especializaciones que en nuestro país aún no se desarrollan, por lo que es aconsejable lograr la adquisición de una especialización que asegure el manejo de conocimientos profundos sobre una temática.
