Premios Óscar – uno por Mejor Película Animada y otro por Mejor Canción Original, con “Let It Go”. Sin embargo, este musical es inigualable: “Nunca has visto ‘Frozen’ así. La magia es espectacular, tenemos alrededor de 12 canciones nuevas que se han agregado al escenario musical, podrás conocer más a fondo a los personajes de Elsa y Anna y, por supuesto, obtendrás todo lo que te encantó de la película animada”, expresó la actriz. “Es todo lo que podrías desear en un gran musical llamativo y mágico de Broadway: luces brillantes, baile, una coreografía hermosa, canciones increíbles. Nunca has visto ‘Let It Go’ de esta manera, pero creo que lo importante es que estamos contando una increíble historia de amor verdadero entre dos mujeres empoderadas que, además, son hermanas. Y creo que estamos acostumbrados a ver el verdadero beso de amor entre quizás un príncipe y una princesa y, aunque todavía hay elementos de eso en esta historia, también tienes a dos mujeres poderosas que celebran sus diferencias y que demuestran cómo el amor es su mayor superpoder. Entonces, creo que es algo realmente hermoso de ver y una historia con la que todos podemos relacionarnos”, agregó.

Lauren Nicole ha estado con la compañía de “Frozen” desde el 2017, pero ésta es su primera vez interpretando el rol de Anna en la gira de Broadway por Norteamérica. Y esto es algo que le fascina, pues piensa que “Anna es una persona alegre y divertida, cuyo optimismo es increíble e inquebrantable”.

“Creo que todos podemos ser un poco más optimistas (como Anna), y ciertamente me siento muy honrada de que eso sea algo que yo misma pueda infundir en mi día a día”, mencionó la artista, aseverando a su vez que se siente muy honrada de seguir siendo parte de esta gran producción musical después de tantos años. “Creo que la razón por la que me siento tan honrada de ser parte de este musical es que la historia de conexión y amor que hay (entre las dos hermanas) resiste la prueba del tiempo (y la distancia). Y eso es ciertamente algo que estoy sintiendo ahora mismo; me siento muy honrada de darle vida a Anna cada noche”. Con una coreografía del ganador de un Tony, Rob Ashford; música y letra de la ganadora del Óscar, Kristen Anderson-López, y el ganador de EGOT, Robert López; un libreto de la ganadora del Óscar, Jennifer Lee; y siendo dirigida por el ganador de los premios Tony y Olivier, Michael Grandage, “Frozen” estará en el Teatro Orpheum de Memphis del 22 de junio al 2 de julio del 2023. Será una experiencia teatral inolvidable, llena de efectos especiales sensacionales, escenarios y vestuario impresionantes y actuaciones poderosas.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) --- The movie “Frozen,” produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, has captivated children and adults altogether, and the musical promises to be even more enchanting and exciting, according to Lauren Nicole Chapman, who plays the role of Anna.

During an interview with La Prensa Latina Media, Lauren said that the musical of “Frozen” has all the iconic moments of the famous animated film that won two Oscars – one for Best Animated Feature and another for Best Original Song, with “Let It Go.” However, this musical is second to none: “You’ve never seen it (‘Frozen’) quite like this. The magic is spectacular, we have about 12 new songs that have been added to the stage musical. So, what it does is we get to have a deeper look into these characters and into Elsa and Anna. It’s a really, really magical thing. And of course, you’ll get everything that you loved from the animated feature,” expressed the actress. “It’s everything that you could want in a big flashy (and magical) Broadway musical: bright lights, dance, beautiful choreography, amazing songs. You’ve never seen ‘Let It Go’ like this, but I think what’s important is that we are telling an amazing story of true love between two empowered women and two sisters. And I think we are used to sort of seeing the true love’s kiss between perhaps a prince and a princess, and while there are still elements of that at the helm, you have two powerful women celebrating their differences and ultimately coming together with love as their greatest superpower. So, I think that’s a really beautiful thing to watch and a story that we all can relate to,” she added.

Lauren Nicole has been with the “Frozen” company since 2017, but this is her first time playing the role of Anna on the North American Broadway tour. And this is something that fascinates her, as she thinks that “Anna has this incredible unwavering optimism and joy and humor. I just think we can all use a little bit more of that, and I certainly feel very honored that that’s something that I get to infuse into my day-to-day,” said the artist, stating later that she feels very honored to continue being part of this great musical production after so many years. “I think the reason that I am so honored to have been a part of it for so long is that the connection and the story of connection and love sort of stands the test of time (and distance). And that’s certainly something that I’m feeling; I feel very honored to bring Anna to life every night.”

With a choreography by Tony Award winner Rob Ashford, music and lyrics by Oscar winner Kristen Anderson-Lopez and EGOT winner Robert Lopez, a book by Oscar winner Jennifer Lee, and directed by Tony and Olivier Award winner Michael Grandage, “Frozen” will be at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis from June 22 to July 2, 2023. It will be an unforgettable theatrical experience filled with sensational special effects, stunning sets, impressive costumes, and powerful performances.

“It’s a story for all ages; it’s a story for all walks of life,” stated Lauren Nicole.
