La Policía de Memphis pide

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL/MPD) --- El Departamento de la Policía de Memphis (MPD) está pidiendo ayuda del público para identificar al sospechoso de un asesinato que tuvo lugar el lunes, 17 de abril del 2023, aproximadamente a las 6:32 PM, en el negocio Z Market (Perkins Rd.).

Tras llegar a la escena del crimen, los agentes del MPD encontraron a un hombre hispano que sufría de múltiples heridas de bala. Luego, el Departamento de Bomberos de Memphis llegó a la escena y transportó a la víctima al hospital Regional One, en donde fue declarado muerto.

Los investigadores se enteraron de que la víctima había estado en compañía del sospechoso y de personas desconocidas durante aproximadamente una hora antes del asesinato. El sospechoso es descrito como un hombre hispano, calvo o con un corte de pelo extremadamente corto, posible barba de chivo y con tatuajes en el brazo derecho. Llevaba puesta una camiseta blanca y pantalones de color beige en el momento del incidente, y portaba un revolver también. Fue visto por última vez huyendo del área en un vehículo Toyota Sequia, de color plateado, hacia el norte en la avenida S. Perkins.

MEMPHIS, TN (MPD) --- The Memphis Police Department (MPD) is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect in a murder that took place on Monday, April 17, 2023, at approximately 6:32 PM, at Z Market (Perkins Rd.).

Upon arriving at the crime scene, MPD officers found a Hispanic man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Memphis Fire Department then arrived on the scene and transported the victim to the Regional One Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators learned that the victim had been in the company of the suspect and other unknown persons for approximately one hour prior to the murder. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, bald or with an extremely short haircut, a possible goatee, and tattoos on his right arm. He was wearing a white T-shirt and beige pants at the time of the incident and was also carrying a gun. He was last seen fleeing the area in a silver Toyota Sequia northbound on S. Perkins Avenue. Biblioteca Cossitt regalará útiles escolares

Cossitt Library Will Give Away School Supplies

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) --- La biblioteca Cossitt, ubicada en el centro de la ciudad, tendrá un evento donde se regalarán útiles escolares a estudiantes.

El sábado, 15 de julio, los asistentes que se inscriban para tramitar su tarjeta de las bibliotecas públicas en la sucursal de Cossitt podrán pedir su mochila con artículos para la escuela.

El evento será desde la 1 PM hasta las 4 PM, y se estarán repartiendo hasta agotar existencias.

La dirección es 33 South Front Street, Memphis, TN 38103. Recientemente, esta biblioteca reabrió sus puertas después de una remodelación completa. Además, es considerada como un sitio histórico, ya que fue la primera biblioteca de nuestra ciudad.

On Saturday, July 15, attendees who register to process their public library card at the Cossitt branch will be able to request their backpacks, along with other school items. The event will be from 1 PM to 4 PM (while supplies last).

The address is 33 South Front Street, Memphis, TN 38103. This library has recently reopened after a complete renovation. In addition, it is considered to be a historical site, as it was the first library in our city.
