Did you know that there are eight types of service dogs? Service dogs are very important in the lives of people with specific disabilities. They not only help in your daily life but become loving family members.
These dogs are specially trained to help their owners with certain disabilities, ranging from physical to mental problems.
Service dogs have full access rights, which means they can go with their owner to places where other animals are not allowed.
There are eight types of service dogs:
1) Autism Service Dogs: These dogs are trained to help people with autism by assisting them to be independent and perform daily tasks.
2) Hearing Dogs: help people who are deaf or hard of hearing. They can serve by alerting them to sounds like smoke alarms, doorbells, etc.
3) Diabetic Alert Dogs: Their incredible sense of smell can alert their owners to a sudden change in glucose levels.
4) Seizure Response Dogs: People with epilepsy and seizure episodes benefit from these dogs that assist them in an emergency.
5) Guide dogs: These service dogs are best known
since they have been assisting people with visual disabilities or visual deficiencies since the beginning of the 16th century.
6) Allergy Detection Dogs: These service dogs are trained to sniff out traces of lethal allergens that can cause their owner’s anaphylactic shock.
7) Mobility Assistance Dogs: People with mobility disabilities are assisted by these service dogs, helping them become more independent and helping them perform certain tasks.
8) PTSD Service Dogs: These dogs help people who may have had a traumatic experience. They serve them by giving them a sense of security and making them more confident.
