Celebrating H2O since 1993
Celebrating H2O since 1993
The world has been celebrating water for 30 years now, since March 22, 1993. Raising awareness when it comes to water has been established by the United Nations so that everyone is inspired to combat water and sanitation issues.
What can we do to observe World Water Day?
• Pick up litter in water gutters in your community. You can do it as a fun task with friends.
• Practice responsible use of water.
• Raise awareness in social media.
• Remember that life without water is impossible.
• Have events to raise awareness, especially with kids.
How can we save water:
• Check for leaks in your house and office.
• Take shorter showers.
• Turn off water when brushing teeth or hands/ face.
• Use your dishwasher and/or washing machine when it is full.
• Don’t leave water running when washing dishes
• Water your lawn only when needed (or if your community has special days, follow them)
• Xeriscaping is nice and uses less water.
And remember:
