Message from the

General Manager SPRING/SUMMER 2015 As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the grand opening of the Robert Livermore Community Center, we have put together an abundant array of classes, programs, activities, and special events for all ages. Find your favorite activity in this spring/summer 2015 guide. Children and teens can actively enjoy the great outdoors through our summer camps and classes. Look for nature study, sports, science, nutritional cooking, the arts, music, theater and more in our special pullout camp poster. For adults, check out our cooking or writing classes or keep in shape with one of the fitness activities. The 55+ crowd can take advantage of local and extended stay trips, special luncheons, healthy living classes and active fitness programs. For those who plan to celebrate family reunions or special occasions, we have a variety of indoor ballrooms or outdoor picnic areas to fit your special needs. You’ve told us that recreation programs and our parks and recreation facilities are a key to keeping you and your family happy and healthy this summer. So, stop by Sycamore Grove Park and try out the new trail connection that links two regional parks: Shadow Cliffs Regional Park to Lake Del Valle Recreational Area through Sycamore Grove Park. Then visit LARPD’s newest addition: Cayetano Park, which features a multisport synthetic turf field, basketball courts, covered picnic areas, an offleash dog park and plenty of good old open space. They say variety is the spice of life and we take that literally by providing plenty to do this summer. So take a moment to flip through this guide, pick out your passion, then get out and play!

Tim Barry General Manager
