Board meetings are recorded and broadcast on Cable TV Channel 29 the evening following each Board meeting. Welcome to the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District. I would like to take this opportunity to share why we are so important to you and our community. Learn a new skill through our enrichment programs from ukulele lessons to tai chi. We provide licensed school-age child care at all Livermore elementary schools, after-school programs at middle schools, and preschool programs. The 71,000 sq. ft. Robert Livermore Community Center offers programs for all ages from preschoolers to older adults, seven days a week year-round. Play in our pools, gymnasium, sports fields, recreation center and pickleball courts. Celebrate with us when you want to have a birthday party, wedding, or family reunion. We offer a wide variety of venues for event and facility rentals. Explore our parks, miles of trails and open space. LARPD operates over 50 parks, including the ever-popular 840 acre Sycamore Grove Park. After years of development and planning, LARPD has scheduled some much needed improvements at the RLAC. Plans include deck replacement, replastering and new tile for both pools, and the addition of permanent stairs and ADA lifts. Tentative closure date is Monday, October 22, 2018 with a plan to re-open for Summer 2019. During this time May Nissen Swim Center will be open and available. USWP-LAZERS WATER POLO TEAM LARPD has a United States Water Polo (USWP) team, governed by USWP, which encourages high standards of play and good sportsmanship. As a USWP Club team, all practices and competitions will be sanctioned, requiring all participants to be currently registered with USWP. Become a member at www.usawaterpolo.org. Brushy Peak Adventure
Explore the magical Brushy Peak Regional Preserve. This strenuous hike covers approximately 4-miles over dirt and rocky trails, with an elevation gain of 800+ feet. The hike includes an exploration of unique sandstone rock formations, introduction to the Native cultures associated with the site, and opportunity to view plants and animals in this area. Venture Trips
Venture Trip participants are transported in LARPD vans. Day trips must be paid for at the time of registration. Cancellations received five (5) business days prior to the day of the trip, will incur a processing fee of $12 and any other incurred costs pre cancellation. Overnight trips require a $25 nonrefundable deposit at the time of registration. Extended trips require a $100 nonrefundable deposit at the time of registration. No refunds will be issued for overnight and extended trips after final is payment has been received. *Dates are subjected to change.

Livermore Area Recreation and Park District program registration fees are evaluated and assessed at the time of scheduling the program. Proof of residency will be required upon registration. Residents are those who reside within the Livermore city limits. Fees labeled NR (nonresident) within the Activity Guide or on printed material represent non-resident. Because the Activity Guide is prepared months in advance, program dates and times may change. For the most current version of the Activity Guide, visit our website.
LARPD supports the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you or a family member needs help, assistance, or program accommodations, we stand ready to help you participate in our services. Call our main office at 925-373-5700 for more information about this service.
The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District values our community’s support and input on the classes and programs we offer. If you are not completely satisfied with the program or class you have taken, we welcome your feedback. If you are not completely satisfied after the first class and/or program meeting, please inform us within 24 hours. We will process a refund minus a $12 processing fee will be withheld from all cancellations. We understand missed classes and absences may occur, however credits or cancellations will not be issued under this policy for a participant who does not show up to the first class meeting. Missed classes, swim passes, facility rentals, adult sports leagues, tickets and transportation costs to entertainment, sporting events, amusement parks, or meals are excluded from this policy.

• Waiver: A participant Agreement Waiver is required from all program participants prior to the first class meeting. For minors under the age of 18, a signature is required from the legal parent or guardian. To download this form, visit LARPD.ORG.
Transfer requests made less than seven (7) days prior to the first class meeting are considered cancellations and cannot be completed. Failure to attend class or “no shows” will not be granted a refund.
• Class Refund Policy LARPD reserves the right to cancel, postpone or combine classes, or change instructors. If insufficient enrollment causes a class to be cancelled, notification will be given and a full refund will be granted. Please choose your activities carefully. If you must cancel your registration, we require notification at least seven (7) days before the first class meeting. All cancellations and refunds will be subjected to a $12 service fee. Cancellations made less than seven (7) days prior to the first class meeting will not be granted a refund. A $20 fee will be charged for all returned checks.
