Swim diapers required for children not yet potty trained. An adult can accompany up to two children, 6 months to 5 years, at a time. This is a non-structured swim program. A note about the weather The RLCC Pools are heated between 78–80 degrees. However, wind and cool weather do cool the pools throughout the day. Warm wrap and towel recommended, and possibly wear a rash guard or wetsuit when participating during the Winter and Spring. Pool remains open during rain. Classes held rain or shine. Pool closed and classes/programs canceled in lightning or intense fog.

Water Exercise The following exercise programs use water as resistance to displace 90 percent of a participant’s body weight, eliminating stress on the joints. Classes will help develop increased flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, and muscle tone in a most refreshing way. For men and women of all ages.

The Electric Eels are part of the Valley Swim League! LARPD’s summer recreational swim team is open to youth who are able to swim one length (25 yds) of the pool, continuously, using any of the four competitive swimming strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly). Focus on stroke development and introduction to the sport of swimming. Swimmers are encouraged to sign up for LARPD’s conditioning class to improve their strokes, starts, and turns in preparation for swim team.

Preschool Programs offer parent participation for children 3 mos to 6 yrs of age and are a great opportunity for your child to make friends of his/her own. With a wide variety of activity and class offerings that are affordable, run by qualified and caring personnel and conveniently located, have your child thrive in LARPD age appropriate activities. Programs located at the Christensen and Croce Schools, Jane Addams House, Little House, May Nissen Park and RLCC. Additional classes may be added. Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment will be cancelled. No classes during the week of Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Spring Break and Federal Holidays. Fees subject to change. Tiny Tots 3–4 yrs Classes are geared to the developmental needs of 3 year olds. Play-based class offers theme related play, social experiences and opportunities to make choices and begin to develop self-control. Class times range from 2 to 2.5 hours and meet 2 days per week. About Brushy Peak Regional Preserve
Want to explore Brushy Peak Regional Preserve without the strenuous hike to the top of the peak? On this approximately 3-mile hike, explore the natural and cultural features of this scenic parkland. Brushy Peak Regional Preserve is a prominent landmark from both the Livermore Valley and the Central Valley. Brushy Peak has drawn people to its slopes for hundreds of years. It Is considered a sacred place by the Native American people. From the peak, visitors can look out across the Central Valley toward the Sierra Nevada mountains. Sandstone rock formations dot the area and come in fascinating shapes. They are home to many species. Colorful lichens cover their surfaces, birds nest on them and a variety of creatures live in the rain-water that collects in the depressions in the rock. To protect this special place so that all can continue to experience its full beauty, the special protection area is open by guided tour only.

About Sycamore Grove Park Sycamore Grove Park is a 775 acre open space park in south Livermore. The park provides places for people to experience the natural world. Escape the city, and take a family outing, jog for exercise, ride a horse, ride a bike or enjoy a leisurely picnic. At the same time, enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of nature. Along the Arroyo Del Valle see frogs, pond turtles, dragonflies, ducks or even muskrats. In addition to this riparian area, enjoy grassland and oak woodland habitats.
Wild animals, gorgeous wildflowers, mighty oaks and stately Sycamore trees! Join a ranger to explore and experience the wild in your backyard-our local open space parks. Night hikes, star gazing, nature discovery hikes and many more outdoor adventures on these ranger-led programs. Sycamore Grove Annual Parking Pass
For the avid park user, a parking pass represents a tremendous savings over the daily parking fee ($5). Seniors (Age 60+) receive a substantial discount. Annual passes are hang-tags that you can use in multiple vehicles and are prorated monthly so visitors get the same great value regardless of when the pass is purchased. Camp Shelly A Lake Tahoe Adventure Looking for a special vacation experience for your family this summer? Then head on up to Lake Tahoe for a magical camping adventure at LARPD’s Camp Shelly Family Campground. Tucked away in a pine and fir forest on the south shore of Lake Tahoe, the intimate 25-site campground offers spacious campsites in a beautiful setting. Opportunities for bicycling, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, and hiking in the breathtaking Desolation Wilderness can be found just minutes away. Within the camp, visitors may enjoy a game of volleyball, horseshoes, or Ping-Pong while the kids ride their bikes around the paved campground loop. Rangers are on duty daily to assist campers and to maintain the camp. Campground Amenities Each campsite has a parking place, picnic table, fire pit with grill, food locker, and a level spot to pitch a tent. Several sites can accommodate boats, tent trailers, and motorhomes, while a few sites can hold vehicles or trailers up to 28 feet long and 10 feet high. In addition, there are sites that can accommodate people with mobility issues. A central restroom has flush toilets and hot showers.

Non-Residents
Non-Livermore residents may register for activities on the same dates and times as residents. Non-residents will be charged 20% more per activity than the listed activity fee.
Waiver A Participant Agreement Waiver, signed by a parent or guardian, is required for participants under 18 years. It is up to the participant to give this form to the instructor on the first day of class. Your child will NOT be able to participate without this form. Download the form at www.larpd.dst.ca.us. Click on "Forms" from the menu on the right. All adults will sign a waiver form at class.
7-Day Transfer Policy Transfer requests made less than 7 (seven) days prior to first class meeting are considered cancellations and cannot be completed. Failure to attend class or "no shows" will not be granted a refund/credit.

If insufficient enrollment causes a class to be cancelled, notification will be given and a full refund granted. 2. Please choose your activities very carefully. If you must cancel your registration, we require notification at least 7 (seven) days before the first meeting of that class. 3. You may request either a credit or a refund check (less a $5 service charge) PER class. 4. Any cancellation received less than 7 (seven) days prior to the start date will not receive a refund/credit.
