l cierre del gobierno federal llega ya a su segunda semana consecutiva y americanos de los más diversos empleos y niveles sociales ya están comenzando a sentir los efectos del impasse político de Washington. La buena noticia –si es que hay algo bueno en este capitolio disfuncional- es que los departamentos que no dependen del presupuesto actual continúan operando, aunque con ciertos impedimentos. Entre estos están Social Security, el Correo de Estados Unidos, Medicare y la mayoría de los servicios de Inmigración.

ith the shutdown of the federal government now in its second week, Americans from all walks of life are beginning to feel the effects of Washington’s political impasse. The good news – if anything emanating from the nation’s dysfunctional capitol can be referred to as such – is that departments not dependent upon the current funding upheaval continue to operate, albeit with some impediments. These include Social Security, the U.S. Mail, Medicare, and most immigration services.

The TRUST Act is an historic law that will allow immigrants to work and live safely in the state, without the constant fear of being deported.
