We ask one florist a week to talk about a flower that they have chosen in their shop, just simply the flower, one that they particularly like.
We ask 10 simple questions about the chosen flower, we then take the flower away with us and photograph it. Sometimes one florist recommends the next; sometimes it is the eager eyes of our entourage that leads us to them.
From the modest questions asked to the florists grows captivating stories, tales it would seem so rarely told...simply because seldom asked. Each week we come back with a snippet of the complex and fascinating world of cut flowers, and tell the tale back for all those that would like to hear.
Season 1 of le fleuriste is a 52 week project during which we post one flower a week.
