Apprenticeships Apprenticeships offer an excellent way to gain a qualification whilst working full-time and are suitable for both young people and adults of any age who are already in employment. An Apprenticeship will support you in gaining both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in your chosen area of work and lead to an industry recognised qualification. Some Apprenticeships are delivered on a day-release basis, where you will spend one day per week in College, whilst others are completely work-based. As an Apprentice you will be paid by your employer whilst you are training and learning, giving you the flexibility to earn as you learn.
“
My time at college pushed me to strive for excellence in my field of work. Winning the National Apprentice of the Year in 2011 gave me the confidence to set up my own business which is now a success.
