PORTFOLIO
Film Competition for Imaginary Film Music
One of our assignments during my third year in MDA was to create a short film for a competition in Japan to be displayed in the YCAM Museum for its 10th anniversary. I was given three songs and I was to make a film of what the song inspired me. The song I chose was really strange, as I heard it I could imagine the cycle of life, how we evolve from an egg into fully grown humans until our bodies cant make it anymore and how we don’t realize that the earth will keep spinning no matter what. I decided to show this with an all adobe after effects animation.
Curiosity Killed the Kitten Video
For the term project we had to design a drug awareness campaign for children. I went for a bit of a dark concept but the results where amazing. This are frames from the video I created for it with After Effects, Garage Band and Illustrator.
Puerto Banús, A Symbol Of Luxury
A symbol of Luxury
At MDA we got approached by one of the board directors of Puerto Jose Banús most commonly known as Puerto Banús, to fully re-brand the port. Given that it used to be known as one of the most luxurious ports in Europe years ago and its image has slowly started to fade. This project was promoted by the AEPB, “Asociación de Empresarios y Profesionales de Puerto Banús”, a union represented by more than 200 businesses, shops and professionals in Puerto Banús.
La Bajadilla, New Port of Marbella
For this project I had to create a general advertising campaign for the new port in Marbella, described as the most important urban development of the coast. I decided to go for a heaven on earth idea and a bit of fear for my advertising campaign, letting people know they wouldn’t like to be the last ones to go.
Arquetipe, Fragrance for Men
This one was a fun project. I was to create the logo, bottle and packaging for two different perfumes; both for men, called Arquetipe. The designs were made for both classic and modern look. For the modern look I went for something very playful like an armour, whilst for the classic look I took inspiration from James Bond since I believe its an image most men would like to live up to.
Social Nut, A New Social Network
For this project I had to create a logo for a new social network, its name was Social Nut. Nut stood for crazy, but i decided to take another view on it and played around with creatures that love nuts. Yes I’m talking about squirrels. I included the business card I designed on my own time.
Alife in Motion was a group project with interior designers. The project was to create an event supposed to take place in Marbella. We decided to create a life changing event, where the amount of jobs or qualifications you’ve had in your life is not your experience, but the amount of things you’ve lived. Each person would be given a “passport” and would receive stamps for any event attended. Below are the invitations, posters and some of the stamps.

Cocalombia, Art Expo Catalogue
Catalogue created for an art exposition based in Marbella on the beauty of my home country, Colombia. With this project I wanted to show a different side of Colombia to the one seen in the news, Colombia isn’t only drug cartels and guerrilla groups. I created the art work from images taken back home, and designed from cover to page numbers to a price list of the art work displayed in the catalogue.

Focused on final year students of Primary school and first year of high school, The purpose of Curiosity Killed the Kitten is to create awareness over the following aspects: Teach young adults about the real consequences of experimenting with legal and illegal drugs, used to create fictitious happiness and escape from the real world. Teach them that there is other ways of having fun and creating the same feeling in your body without the need of unhealthy lifestyles. Activities that will reinforce personal and physical growth of the individual.

Midnight Sketches and Others
Midnight Sketches is a little project I started on my own. I decided that every night after midnight I would take out my sketch pad and a pen and just draw whatever came to my head at the moment, as the nights went by the sketches started getting more complex and my imagination kept running. After every three nights I would dedicate the next three nights to editing them in adobe Photoshop and the product of this, is something I’m really proud of. Some of this illustrations were part of other project concepts, but I’m sure you will be able to tell the difference.
Photography, Hobbies are Important
I have always like photography, but I never thought of it as my job. I love taking out my camera on trips and taking pictures of everything around me, although i have to admit animals are one of my favorite things to photograph. I’ve done from studio to uncontrolled outdoor photography and yes, it can be very tiring at times but when you love what you’re doing, nothing can stop you! Below are photographs I’ve taken over the past four years. Some of them have actually been published.
