I absolutely love this time of year. Warm days and cool nights. To be honest, I don’t love the shorter days though. It seems like it gets dark way too early. Albert Camus wrote: “Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” It is amazing to see the change and how beautiful the trees and landscape are.
So, as the fall season hits full swing, I’d like to outline some of the great dining opportunities we provide.
Of course, the Pub and Bistro are open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner, but did you know we also serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays in the Pub and Bistro? Also, during the football season, we’ve got great specials during the games, so make sure to come by and enjoy any one of the 15 TVs we have and the food and drink specials.
Also, one Sunday a month, we host Brunch in Blu, which offers an incredible buffet included in each entrée selection. If you haven’t tried it you really need to.
Our more upscale dining option is Blu, and right now, it’s open Saturdays, and to help with babysitting issues, we also have the Kids Corner on Saturday nights. So bring the kids over to the Kids Corner and join us in Blu for a tremendous meal.
Our Chef’s Table is also open on Friday and Saturday —one of the best, hightouch dining experiences you will have. You’re right in front of the action, sitting in the kitchen as you watch our talented culinary team create your meals.
All these dining options are available to reserve on the app so please do your part to help us make your experience awesome by making a reservation. We often have more walk-in’s than reservations, which can create a more chaotic environment than we’d like.
Finally, we have all of the social events the team puts together: Halloween, Thanksgiving, both here and take out, and before you know it, Santa Brunches and our famous Cookie Bakes.
Know that we have whichever dining options you prefer here. All that’s missing is you!
I look forward to seeing you around the club.

DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP
As we enjoy the beautiful fall season, I want to take a moment to discuss a crucial aspect of our club’s growth and vibrancy: the importance of referring new families to our membership.
At LCCC, we take great pride in our close-knit community. Unlike many clubs, we don’t advertise to attract new members. Instead, our growth relies solely on the personal connections we foster through referrals from you—our valued members—and those who reach out to me directly via our website or by walking through our doors.
Your recommendations carry immense weight. When you share your positive experiences and invite friends or family to consider joining, you’re helping to shape the future of our club. New members bring fresh perspectives, friendships, and energy that enhance our community for everyone. I encourage you to think about the families you know who would thrive in our welcoming environment. If you have someone in mind, please let me know! I’m more than happy to reach out and share what makes our club special.
Thank you for being such an integral part of our community. Together, let’s continue to build a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere that makes Laurel Creek Country Club a wonderful place to belong.

The golf season is winding down but there was plenty of action that took place in the month of September!! The second annual Solheim Cup was played by 36 ladies on Wednesday September 11th where Team USA challenged Team Europe. Thank you to captains Christine Blessing, Noelle Noyes, Joanne Seltzer and Eileen Ramasamy for leading an exciting event. Great competition and a close match but in the end Team Europe was victorious. L81 Congratulations to all winners.
On Wednesday September 25th members of the Laurel Creek Women’s Golf Association and their guests played in a Member-Guest tournament with a theme of “Under the Tuscan Sun.” The sun did remain behind clouds for the day, but the rain held off long enough to complete the eighteen-hole round. Kelly Redkay, Eileen Burke and the Pro shop staff planned a spectacular day with soft pretzels and limoncello on the golf course, a format of one better ball of foursome on the front nine, two better balls of foursome on the back nine and a yummy Tuscan meal to complete the day. Everyone who participated was a winner, but special mention goes to the following players: First place gross was won by Christine Bessing and Barbara Kelly and their guests; Linda Toogood and guests took second place gross while third place gross went to Eileen Kennedy and her guests. First place net was won by Stephanie Moccia, Lynne Demmerly, Janie Spitznagel and guest with a score of minus eleven. Second net went to Eileen Kennedy and guests with a minus seven and third place was won by Grace Chung, Eileen Ramasamy, Heidi Bourke and guest. Janie Spitznagel took the prize for closest to the pin by a member on hole # 7 and the longest drive for a member went to Christine Blessing (hole #12). At the end of the day echoes of “Ciao Bella” were heard as participants left with gifts of Blue Moon flavored olive oil, Balsamic vinegar and Tuscany spices to enjoy at home.
Winners of the Ladies President’s and Secretary’s Cups remain to be determined, and Wednesday Tournaments continue until Closing Day on Wednesday October 24th so there still are many opportunities to participate in golf events. Closing Day, a combined nine and eighteen holer event chaired by Linda Angstreich and Gina Kassack will be a step back scramble. A luncheon and final meeting will be held after golf. Sign up on the APP!!
While October 24th is the official end of the golf season at LC, the LCWGA is planning exciting future events such as a bowling night, a holiday party, and the continuation of the book club. Look out for these dates! And finally, Fall is a great season for golf. The heat of summer has passed, and we are enjoying our best playing conditions of the year! So, book a tee time!

DIRECTOR OF FOOD & BEVERAGE
We’ve had a bustling fall filled with fantastic events, and we’re excited to share some great news! To support our growing a la carte service, we’re thrilled to welcome our new Restaurant Manager, Amanda Martins.
Amanda joins us from the renowned Odette’s River House in New Hope, Pennsylvania. At this stunning property along the Delaware River, she honed her skills in luxury member service, managing both the exclusive rooftop restaurant and the a la carte dining options available to hotel guests and the public.
As a key member of the opening team for Odette’s in 2020, Amanda navigated the challenges of launching a new venue during the pandemic, quickly proving her exceptional capabilities. She began as the head bartender and was soon promoted to Restaurant Manager, overseeing multiple dining outlets. With extensive experience in beverage management, Amanda curated a wine list and developed a cocktail program featuring over 100 unique specialty cocktails. Her passion for wine extends beyond her professional life, reflecting her dedication to hospitality.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys reading, and volunteering for the local library and humane society. She’s also an avid road trip enthusiast!
We feel fortunate to have Amanda on our team and look forward to introducing her to all our members. Please join us in welcoming her!

DIRECTOR OF GOLF COURSE OPERATIONS
Many years it seems like we jump straight from summer to winter, so having what feels like a “real fall” with cool temperatures and blue skies is definitely appreciated. Of course we could use just one good rain event. While many parts of the country have been getting way too much precipitation, we certainly have not.
The brisk nights and shorter days help to reduce turf stress this time of year, but with clear skies, a nice breeze and low humidity, there is still a fair amount of moisture loss occurring.
Again, regardless of how good an irrigation system is, there is no substitute for the uniformity that comes from Mother Nature. A nice rain will evenly rehydrate the soil and go a long way towards allowing us to turn off the irrigation for the season.
Until then, we will likely continue to deal with the Goldilocks conditions of too wet here and too dry there that come with “artificial rain.” While there are a number of fall projects we’d like to be working on, for now the team will continue to be dragging hoses.
