ArtWalk 2018
Tuesday, June 12th • 4:30-7:30pm Location: Auditorium NO REGISTRATION ArtWalk is a family event that will showcase local and regional artists who combine astounding visual art with unique craftsmanship. Artists will be demonstrating their skills on-site. If desired, finished items will be available for purchase from the artists. David Hall, the “Saxman” will be providing music throughout the evening, and light refreshments will be provided.
Similar to the Western game of rummy, Mah Jongg is a game of skill, strategy, and calculation that involves a degree of chance. Experienced players, see if the tiles fall your way during a fun evening of play. If you’ve never played, please contact us before attending.

Learn how to make them during this program led by Trish Caudill, who will provide a step-bystep demonstration that will include helpful tips. A recipe and pretzel sample will be provided.

Diane Vance from the Alzheimer’s Association will present an interactive workshop that focuses on early detection and steps that can be taken after diagnosis.
This month’s adventure is Mortal Fall by Christine Carbo. National Park police officer Monty Harris is placed in charge of the investigation when a wildlife biologist dies in a questionable way.

Certified Diabetic Educator and Nurse Practitioner Veronica Boley will describe the journey she and her husband have taken as they altered their eating choices, and the positive health benefits that have resulted. Interlibrary Loan is a service we offer that helps our patrons locate items that are rare or no longer available to be purchased privately. Each year we process over a thousand different requests for our patrons for everything from books, audiobooks, music, and articles. It’s really easy to do! Either stop in the library or visit the library and fill out a form providing as much detail as possible. Once the request is submitted, our librarians search a database containing over million different items that are available from libraries all across the country. We’ll let you know when it comes in so you can stop by and pick it up!

Find the jar in the Teen Space during the month of June and take a guess at what book we’ve shredded. We warn you though, books should not be shredded at home, but we’re professionals, and we love to give away prizes, so we have shredded a book.
