In the United States today, Americans celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks, parades, and cookouts. Those celebrations and the freedom they represent did not always come easy. We’ll journey back to the fateful week of July 4th 1863, when two monumental battles unfolded, forever shaping the trajectory of the Civil War. As we delve into the past, we’ll gain invaluable insights into the times, the circumstances, the individuals, and the terrible cost of our Civil War.

Pop Culture Cooking: As Cooked on TikTok

My Brother’s Keeper: LIVE in Concert

Along the way, a series of hijinks ensue. This movie is inspired by a true story and is rated PG-13.

Discover the art of nurturing your houseplants through Shayna’s tips on everything from their light requirements to their watering needs. You’ll learn how to properly propagate your plants and how to craft your very own soil mixture to ensure your plant companions thrive and flourish like never before.

True Crime Case: Edward Theodore Gein

Tuesday, July 25th • 6-7pm

Edward Theodore Gein, infamously dubbed the Butcher of Plainfield or the Plainfield Ghoul, was an American murderer and body snatcher whose heinous acts sent shockwaves through the nation. Gein’s chilling crimes unfolded in the quiet town of Plainfield, Wisconsin, in 1957, catapulting him into the realm of infamous notoriety.

The discovery of his macabre collection, meticulously crafted from exhumed corpses obtained from local graveyards, horrified the public. Utilizing bones and skin, Gein fashioned grotesque trophies and keepsakes, further revealing the depths of his depravity. Disturbingly, Gein also confessed to the murders of two women: the respected tavern owner, Mary Hogan, in 1954, and the unsuspecting hardware store owner, Bernice Worden, in 1957.

Tinker Bell is the most famous fairy in Neverland and Peter Pan’s most trusted sidekick. We’re going to have so much fun making our very own special Tinker Bell puppet. Babygarten: Designed for children up to age 3, this program provides a basic understanding of child development, while providing an engaging time for children and caregivers!

Storytime: This interactive storytime is designed for preschool aged children, and focuses on building cognitive, social, physical, and early literacy skills.

Readers are Leaders: Geared for school aged students, this program provides a time to discuss books, play games, and participate in exciting hands-on activities.
