Departures and Arrivals Weather The West Highlands
Little wind; very clear air. Heavy showers afternoon. Warm inland.
How Windy? Southerly 15 to in morning 25 to 30mph on southern summits.
How Wet? Patchy drizzly rain Mull and west of Loch Linnhe in the morning. Otherwise, scattered heavy showers in afternoon with small risk of thunder.
Cloud on the hills? Cloud widely across higher areas on Mull and west of Loch Linnhe at first in morning, typically base 500 to 700m, although base may slowly lift. Further east, cloud above 1000m by late morning, but toward Central Highlands hills soon cloud free. Otherwise, summits soon cloud free.
Sunshine - Air clarity? Patchwork of sunshine toward east, but extensive cloud west. Visibility excellent. How Cold? o 11 C (at 900m) o 20 C (at Station)
