The Wild 2 day hike For our 2 day hike we first walked to our camp just below the saddle in the mountains. After unpacking our stuff we started on our hike to the top of Ben Lawers. On the way we saw magnificent views in between the masses of clouds. When we neared the peak of Ben Lawers there was horizontal hail and Gail force wind so we turned back 15m meters from the summit. On the way down there was silence within the patrol so the sound of the gushing water. Clinking bottles and the occasional stumbles of a scout (or leader) could be heard. Then we spent the night in the torrential rain. Anneka and Ruth – Patrol C

A wet kayak

Friday Night Haggis

Today we we went went kayaking kayakingititwas wasamazing amazing Today first we got on the minibus for the 5minute trip to the Lochen. The first thing we had to do was undo the kayaks then we got to muck about and build a raft. Me and John were the only ones to fall in we then played some paddle ball (hitting a ball with a paddle) and then we were ready to leave. Christian Allen

Mug shot of the day.

Mugsy tried to hang out with the big boys but they turned him away as his thermal properties were inadequate.

Balin’s attempts at resuscitating his mother had sadly failed
