Founded in 1948, the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences (LBIF) is dedicated to promoting the arts and sciences on Long Beach Island and in the surrounding communities through educational and cultural programs for all ages. Advertising opportunities are available through our Summer Catalog and Annual Seashore House Tour Brochure. Businesses can also become Blai Business Members, enjoying reduced advertising rates in both publications and other exclusive benefts. The Annual Seashore House Tour, celebrating its 59th year in 2025, is a cherished tradition that promotes tourism and supports local businesses in the home-building community. As a nonproft organization, LBIF relies on the proceeds from this event to sustain its mission and programs.

Gallery Exhibitions: The LBIF gallery hosts free exhibitions year-round to enable arts education, introduction to new media, and stimulation for the mind and senses. Exhibits range from internationally known artists working in a wide range of media to community-based shows highlighting the work of the talented local community and its artists. These are free events for the public attend.

LBIF Summer Art Fundraiser “One Night Only” | July 12: For one night only, LBIF will showcase original artwork from established artists who live/work on LBI. This three-hour art collecting fundraiser allows collectors to meet the artist, buy, and take home their purchased artwork in the same evening.

Performing Arts: Our highly popular and successful jazz and music programs are back and offer a diverse and lively line-up.

Barnegat Bay Day | July 9: This is a family learning experience with lots of hands-on activities for children to learn about the critters and plants living underwater and on the land in the Barnegat Bay ecosystem. Activities include guided tours of the marsh, science-related crafts, informative and fun talks, and exciting interactions with animals. This is a free event for the public attend.

Independent Films: LBIF is expanding its offering of independent flms and documentaries and is planning for weekly and bi-weekly viewings. Screened throughout the year, including the Lighthouse International Film Festival, LBIF hosts a variety of flms and flm festivals year-round, offering movies you won’t fnd anywhere else.

Holiday Market: From mid-November to mid-December, LBIF showcases handmade work in all mediums and price points. From amazing clothing and jewelry to ceramics , paintings, home décor and more!
