AVIATION / TRANSIT
Our experience of working in complex airport environments gives us significant knowledge and insight into the unique challenges faced by the aviation industry. We work with clients to create sustainable value when creating, developing, operating and owning airports. One of the major practice areas for Mimar Ponte Mellor (MPM) is Aviation and Transit/Transportation related facility design. Over the course of our 22 year history, MPM has provided A/E services for over 300 task order projects for Aviation and Transit clients as the prime and/or subconsultant. Some of these agencies include Maryland Aviation Administration, Maryland Transit Administration, Maryland Transportation Authority, State Highway Administration, Maryland Port Authority, and Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WAMATA). MPM has received a high degree of recognition from clients in Aviation Design, which include four of the largest aviation planning firms in the country. Our expertise in aviation design was recently exercised by undertaking a $42,000,000 construction portion of a large project producing construction documents under stringent deadlines. We are currently working with AECOM on BWI’s new ”E” Concourse expansion.

This system was more cost-effective to install, easier to operate, and a major savings in energy costs. To date, MPM completed extensive design services and construction inspections for more than 200+ houses.
