Technological Memoir Technology and I have an everlasting relationship no matter what it is always there for me. When I’m happy or sad technology cheers me up in many ways. We first met as a child when I used to watch T.V I would sit there for hours on end in amazement at the different shows I was able to watch. As a child technology was there for me for my 1st grade birthday I got one great piece of technology, my Game boy color. As a child my Game boy was my life I would not leave the house without it, I would also bring it to school with me. Technology let me get away from the real world. Another way technology has always been there for me was when I got my cell phone. I cannot go anywhere without it, if I forget it I just feel empty without it like I am not in contact with the world. My cell phone is always on me now and days it had become a necessity for me in order to stay in contact with my friends and family. My computer is also one of my favorite forms of technology when I feel very bored at home it’s a cold day I have my computer to go on. With my computer I am able to see many different videos and research anything I want to about the world it is an open network which anyone can enter. In a way the internet is another world people can go into, and get away from their everyday lives, and it does this for me. Some time’s technology is an addiction without u noticing, like when I play my Xbox 360 I feel as if I am just going to play for a little while that I can get off at anytime but when you are playing a game with an online community u get pulled into the game and sometimes I don’t not know how much time has passed until I check the clock I think that technology really influences how people live now and days. Technology is like eating candy as a child you are told to have one and then you have another and another till u got sick technology does this to people something new comes out people buy it then they buy more and more. Back to using the internet Facebook is a growing internet networking site which everyone uses

including me it’s a place where someone can just blog about their life and their emotions. An article by Jeffery Rosen called “The Web Means the End of Forgetting” states that “ Facebook users share more than 25 million pieces of content each month (including news stories, blog posts, and photos), the average user creates 70 pieces of content a month”. This shows that so many people use this networking site and produce so much information about their lives this shows how technology is being used by more and more. It seems that technology plays a big role in my life and is there whenever I need it. I can’t say that technology runs my life I use it often but not to the point where I will die without it, the main thing I use technology wise is my cell phone I think that’s the main thing I need. In another article by Matt Richtel called “Attached to technology and paying a price “it’s about a man named Kord Cambell whose life revolves around technology his wife states “It seems like he can no longer be fully in the moment”. This is very deep because this shows how much technology is impacting his social life and his family, technology take him out of reality “the moment”. Overall technology plays a huge role in my life it’d always accessible to me and I always use it when I need to I think it’s important but I try not to let it but in to my everyday life and only use it when I really need to.
