It’s love at first sight when young struggling artist Rodolfo meets the poor seamstress Mimi. But when facing the grim reality of penniless life in Paris their feelings are soon to be tested. One of the most popular operas of all time, La Bohème features some of the most glorious and instantly recognisable music ever written for stage. The inspiration behind Baz Luhrmann’s blockbuster Moulin Rouge and the award-winning musical Rent, this timeless tale about young love and tragic loss is guaranteed to leave no eye dry. Conveying the joy, wit and frivolity of late 1950’s Paris through a fantastic young cast, magnificent designs and costumes, this sensational production has been universally acclaimed for bringing Puccini’s heartbreaking masterpiece to modern audiences. With its vivid portrayal of Parisian life this irresistible Bohème is a must see for everyone – from opera lovers to complete newcomers.

The Mousetrap is celebrating the 62nd year of a recordbreaking run during which over 25,000 performances have been given, including a sell-out week at Leeds Grand Theatre last year. An iconic piece of theatrical history, this is a classic whodunit written by the greatest crime writer of all time. The scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst. Who can it be? One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until at the last, nerve-shredding moment the identity and the motive are finally revealed. In her own inimitable style, Dame Agatha Christie has created an atmosphere of shuddering suspense and a brilliantly intricate plot where murder lurks around every corner.

A night of fantastic songs and Jasper where he belongs – making us laugh! Sun 7 September 2014 7.30pm £34, £29, £27, £22RV (Prices include a £2 booking fee)
