Don’t miss the new ‘triumphant production’ ( BIRMINGHAM MAIL) of The King’s Speech, which is bringing audiences to their feet every night across the country. ‘A thoroughly gratifying evening at the theatre with stunning acting performances’ (BROADWAY WORLD). Raymond Coulthard (as Bertie) ‘is stunningly delicate, fraught, yet deeply moving’ and Jason Donovan (as Lionel Logue) is ‘energetic, powerful and constantly entertaining – the beating heart of Roxana Silbert’s fine production’ ( WHATSONSTAGE). This ‘masterful piece of storytelling, packed with warmth and humour’ ( STAGE REVIEW) brings to life the story made famous in the multi-award winning film by the same author, David Seidler. As the world stands on the brink of war, the foundations of the royal family are shaken with Edward VIII’s abdication and the only suitable successor his shy, stammering brother. Thrust into a position he never thought he was born to take, can maverick Australian speech therapist and failed actor Lionel Logue help him overcome his affliction and transform from Bertie to King George VI?

Join Robert Webb (Peep Show, That Mitchell and Webb Look) as the effervescent, aristocratic fool Bertie Wooster and Jason Thorpe (What the Butler Saw, Primeval) as his dutiful valet Jeeves, with Christopher Ryan (The Young Ones, Absolutely Fabulous) as Seppings in this hilarious new production. Layering joy on joy, joke on joke, Jeeves & Wooster is a delightful evening of theatrical absurdity featuring P.G. Wodehouse’s iconic double act. When a country house weekend takes a turn for the worse, Bertie Wooster is unwittingly called on to play matchmaker, but also to steal a silver cow creamer from Totleigh Towers. Naturally, the ever dependable Jeeves is there to prevent Bertie from making a fool of himself in front of a cast of Wodehouse’s finest characters. Enjoy an evening of raucous comedy in the company of Gussie Fink-Nottle, Madeline Bassett, Sir Watkin Bassett, Dahlia Travers, Roderick Spode and Constable Oates!

Mon 13 – Sat 18 July 2015 It’s 1963 and the world is changing. Bobby and Laura’s first single Dreamboats and Petticoats went to the top of the charts but they haven’t been able to repeat that success with any further records. Norman and Sue have settled down to nonmarital bliss – and a baby! But Ray and Donna seem blissfully happy. The advent of the Beatles and the Merseyside sound is inspirational. But will it inspire Bobby and Laura to have one more shot at stardom, Norman to “get off the drains” and find that singing voice he has longed for, and Ray to realise his ambition and manage a really top pop act? All will be revealed in a follow-up with the same wit, charm, and great songs as Dreamboats and Petticoats. Many of the songs are from the next period in pop history.

It’s Christmas Eve in the twinkling drawing room of the Edwards’ family home. Uncle Drosselmeyer’s curious box of performing toys captivates the children and adults alike, but it is the wooden Nutcracker doll that enchants young Clara most. Share in Clara’s adventures as she is swept away by her Nutcracker Prince into a magical winter wonderland of dancing snowflakes and the famous Sugar Plum Fairy. Performed to Tchaikovsky’s enduring score, played live by Northern Ballet Sinfonia, David Nixon’s The Nutcracker has everything you’d expect from this traditional favourite. A treasured classic reimagined. A timeless ballet for a modern audience.
