After the success of last year’s sausage fest, it’s back again and running along-side the FestivALE. Sausage and ale, who could ask for more? With a bigger range of dishes and a wider selection of sausages, this year is set to be right “banger”. All our sausages are lovingly prepared for us by local butcher Malcolm Michaels, and freshly delivered each morning.
Special Sausage The following dishes can be made with your choice of sausage, check out our special sausage board or ask our staff to find out today’s options. Veggie sausages are available in some of our dishes. Just look for the (V).
Sausage Baguette £3.50 A warm baguette filled with your choice of sausage, cheese and onion chutney. Served with a dressed side salad, perfect for filling that sausage shaped whole between lectures. (V) Available.
Sausage and Mash £5.00 It’s a classic how could it not be on here. Three sausages of your choice served with creamy mash, thick gravy and peas. (V) Available.
Sausage Platter £8.50 Choose any three types of sausages and have two of each, served with a chunk of stilton, brie, red onion chutney and a loaf of speciality bread from our bakers (you also get some green stuff on there). (V) Available.
Classic Sausage The next two are just classic sausage dishes made with our choice of sausagey goodness.
Battered Sausage £4.50 Two giant Black Sheep Ale beer battered sausages served with chips and peas, just what you need to banish that winter chill. We can’t personally think of a better way to eat our sausages than this. (V) Sausage available.
Cowboy Pie £5.00 This classic pie of sausages, baked beans, bacon bits and a little bit of mushroom served inside pastry with chips peas and gravy is enough to turn even the most hardcore cowboy into a pigboy. There’s more sausage in this than in Broke Back Mountain!
