This “extra edition” of the InsideNoVa/Prince William weekly newspaper was produced for members of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the chamber’s 2023 Business Awards banquet on Feb. 23. In addition to being distributed at the end of that event, this section is being mailed to over 1,300 members of the chamber (thanks to Whitlock Wealth Management) and is being inserted into the March 2 edition of our newspaper.

The number of nominees in this year’s chamber awards was truly incredible – nearly 150 different businesses and organizations were nominated, and 64 businesses were nominated in the top two categories for business excellence. Some of these businesses emerged from the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, while others have operated in our community for decades. But whether they are young and old, they truly reflect the diversity and vibrancy of the local business community.

The stories of success in the pages that follow – along with the challenges many of these businesses have had to overcome – spotlight the passion and determination of business owners, managers and employees, as well as their commitment to serving the local community. All of these write-ups were submitted by the companies and organizations themselves.

We’re delighted to recognize and support all the nominees and winners because we, too, are a local small business. InsideNoVa/Prince William, based in Woodbridge, is part of Rappahannock Media LLC, which publishes two other community newspapers: the Culpeper

Times and the Rappahannock News. The company also publishes lifestyle magazines serving Ashburn, Haymarket/Gainesville, Stafford and Warrenton, as well as the FauquierNow.com website. Our main website, InsideNoVa.com, generates over 2.5 million page views a month, with about 700,000 monthly unique visitors.
