No Signal

for violin, electronic sound and video

Lefteris Papadimitriou

The piece is part of the modular piece No Signal.

Performance notes: - The violinist may synchronize with the audio and video either through a clock or through a click track (Two extra measures with lower click sound are given before the beginning of the piece). - The violin entry should be carefully masked by the noisy audio part and perceived as coming out of it.

Program note: The piece was inspired by the forced closure of the Greek radiotelevision on June 2013. It concerns with the subject of perception of audiovisual signs and censorship in the information age.
