plan & section depicting a microclimate
The two drawings are laid out side by side in order to exhibit a comparision according to the corret scale and measurement . The vertical line on the plan drawing highlighted the view point of the section , reveals connection and correspond between the two .

plan & section depicting a microclimate (1:50)
This 1:50 plan utlised coloured pencils rather than watercolour to show more possibilities .
The shadow detials in this 1:50 plan have been developed which they are portrayed not soley by black colour but utlised different bottom colour when divergent materials meet
The materality showed strong continuity by using the same colour for the concrete that is appeared on both the sculptur base and garden’s side .
the materality has been portrayed , showing materials of steel , concrete and earth meet .
the developed shadow are coloured with dark blue colour in order to display the contrast
the line weight of the fineliner has been changed from 0.2 to 0.8 in order to show the section cut and differentiates the section from elevation

Detail studies:section of object with direct body contact
direct body engagement ; the section was captured at the front door of the Msd ground floor , suitable for short period occupation , usually function as lunch space and sitting place while waiting for others
The textures and the suface damages communicates the details analysis . A mixture of light grey and brown was used for the bench inorder to be correspondign to the materality as concrete and the damages were portrayed by same colour with less water therefore darker and represent the inside of a concreate material .
As a place for sitting , personally i found it is too close to the ground which forced occupants to either sit with their legs bent or extended straight out . This may comminicates a deliberate uncomfortable design due to MSD ‘s crowd density . As a result this kind of design may be more effective during the peak hour with less long-time occupations . SCALE 1:10 @ A3
Detail studies:Surface of three different materials meet
the materials meet within this surface contains the steel from the pillar that providing beatiful skin for the object , glass for the window to achieve transparency and light ; bricks on the ground that is able to reinforce the structure incoporate active sustainability for the architecture .
details explored from displaying the signature feature of bricks outside MSD’s front entrance , that contains same sized but three differnt coloured bricks as decorations .
Reflections has been realized by paint the watercolour overlap for several times that cover the blank space into the glass colour ( light blue) and still allow a blurred view of the reflected objects , communicating the feature of the glass material .
Process ...
The divergences between the two images displaying the process of my collage in which the most vegetations ( all the tress ) were either changed or cutted in to small piece of paper before stick on to the new building background .
