Mature & Part-Time Students’ Officer Robert Greenhill
VOTE ROBERT GREENHILL #1 MATURE AND PART TIME STUDENTS’ OFFICER!
Who? I’m Robert Greenhill, third-year BA Humanities and Arts, following the part-time Certificate in Modern British History at Vaughan College. Erstwhile captain, now coach of the University Challenge team, sometime member of History and Politics societies, impediment to and cheerleader for the considerable talents of LUTheatre...
Why? Part Time and Mature students need an advocate able to represent them from personal experience. I’ve been passionate about promoting and defending part-time education for years, and understand the particular benefits and challenges of returning to learning.
Experience? Course Rep for five years; Union Council and Student Experience Enhancement Group for three; Course Rep of the Year 2013 “for making sure the mature and part-time voice was heard in the Students’ Union”; delegate to the NUS Course Rep Conference 2014 and to NUS Sections (Mature and Part Time Students) 2015.
Platform? My own ideas and opinions are entirely subordinate to those of the people I hope to represent. I’m from Leicester and unapologetically partisan about the University. For me, that translates into making the system work as well as possible through active engagement and feedback between students, Union and University for the benefit of all.
