Welcome Leicester Students’ Union 2016 Union Council and NUS Conference Delegate Elections This booklet gives information about the candidates that have been put forward.  To vote in the elections please go to www.leicesterunion.com/vote Voting is open from Tuesday 2nd February at 8.00am until Wednesday 3rd February at 2.00pm.

Scrutiny Committee (Union Council)
Hello I am Nicole, I am a second year student studying Politics and I am nominating myself to be a Scrutiny Committee Officer! I would like to take on this role as I want the Student Union to run as smoothly as possible and I want to be part of the process that ensures it because our Student Union should be fair to all students and student groups in our university. I believe the Scrutiny Committee is like the backbone of the Student Union because an institution can only function effectively if it is held to account, which is what I aim to do if I am elected for this role. I am a great team player, but also fair and impartial which are qualities which are necessary for this role and if I am elected I will be very committed to fulfilling my duties in the committee, so please vote for me!!
