Inverleigh and Districts Good Friday Appeal News

The Inverleigh and District Good Friday Appeal Family Fun Day will be held on Good Friday the 7th of April 2023 from 10am till 5 pm at Victoria Park in Inverleigh.

There will be carnival rides, Mik Maks, Wildlife Xposure, Fun Farm 2U, live and silent auction, spinning wheel, food and market stalls, classic cars, Easter egg hunt and more.

This year we celebrate our return after a four-year break due to COVID. To welcome you all back we have two new and exciting activities. The first is a Teddy Bear Hospital proudly supported and run by the Inverleigh CWA. Your child will be able to buy a Teddy, name it and help make their Teddy all better again. The second is a Toy Workshop proudly supported and run by the Bannockburn Men’s Shed. Your child will be able to build their very own wooden toy to keep.

We would also like to give a big shout out to the Leigh Valley Lions Club who will be running our BBQ. Without the support of these three community groups and many others we would not be able to put on this great community event.

Inverleigh CWA News

Our group has resumed meetings for the year. We enjoyed a variety of activities in 2022 including cake decorating, chocolate making, preserve making, quiz night, health talk and selling fruit salad at the Great Vic Bike Ride.

We have started planning some more fun events for 2023.

We are proud to announce we will run a Teddy Bear Hospital at the Inverleigh Good Friday Appeal on 7 April.

We are seeking donations of pre-loved teddy bears. Our upcoming meeting / activity dates are 29 March, 26 April, 31 May and 28 June. We are a vibrant group and always welcome new women.

The community is welcome to come to a BYO BBQ at the Inverleigh Park Sunday 19th March (families / children welcome).
