A house is just four walls and a roof. But a home is made up of everything else inside. Home is the place where we laugh. Fight. Cook. Keep everything that is important to us. Get ready to begin a day. Kick off our shoes at the end of the day. Where we feel free to be ourselves. Say what we want. Think what we want. Where everyone understands us. Clean ourselves. Have sex. Retreat to when we’re uncomfortable. Leave when we’re bored. Keep dry. Keep warm. It’s the place where we create memories. Catastrophes. Failures. Successes. Friends. And foes. Home isn’t just a house. It’s a country. A landscape. It can be cold wet winters and hot dry summers. Or cold dry winters, and hot wet summers. Whatever made you who you are… that’s home.

Since its founding in 1710, the Meissen porcelain manufactory has stood for the highest-quality porcelain and the utmost workmanship, represented around the world with the insignia of two Crossed Swords in cobalt blue. The quality of Meissen porcelain has its beginnings in the manufactory’s own mine near the city of Meissen, where the purest kaolin is sourced daily. This white clay is the key to the striking radiance of Meissen porcelain. The precise blending of kaolin with native feldspar and quartz has been refined in Meissen over the past 300 years and is still completed by hand to this day. Charting new territory in the creation of new porcelain objects is as much a part of the manufactory’s tradition as the observation of its own rich heritage. For this, Meissen can draw on the world’s oldest and most comprehensive archive of historic models and plaster moulds, making it possible to reproduce practically any form to ever come out of the manufactory. Meanwhile, the manufactory’s paint laboratory, while constantly formulating new, vibrant hues, closely guards the formulas for some 10.000 different porcelain colours, enabling the Meissen painters to revive every nuance of historic patterns true to the originals. This rich trove of historical inspiration in Meissen’s Triebischtal, not far from the Saxon capital of Dresden, is combined with peerless craftsmanship to create intricate figurines, large-format sculptures, exquisite dining services, and one-of-a-kind works of art that attain the highest standards of exclusivity and individuality.

Nude Launched in 2014, with a mission to design and create beautiful collections of lead-free crystal glass objects, Istanbul-based global design brand Nude is the creator of contemporary glassware for modern living. With its ethos ‘simple is beautiful’, Nude looks at life through the lens of simplicity; de-cluttering and distilling, marrying form with function. Ranging from expertly-crafted decorative objects and statement tableware to softly-shaped lighting, Nude’s vast portfolio is designed by leading international talents and continuously honoured with industry accolades including the Red Dot, Wallpaper* Design, German Design and IF Awards. Nude transcends the traditional boundaries of glassware treating the whole home as one sensuous and pleasurable space. Attention to detail is paramount - its prevalent signature subtle curvature of many of its pieces set it aside. Nude is at the forefront of innovative ideas and works to develop dynamic collaborations with a roster of artists and designers, including Ron Arad and Nigel Coates. Nude also works with an extensive network of design talent including: Studio Formafantasma, Tomas Kral, Defne Koz, Joe Doucet, Markku Salo, Inga Sempé, Ayşe Birsel, Ali Bakova, Pentagon Design, Tamer Nakışcı and Erdem Akan. Known for its design-led and purposeful approach to glassware, Nude has chosen to partner with the iconic interior designer and fashion icon Iris Apfel on a yearlong worldwide campaign, which was launched in September 2018. The campaign continues with beautiful collections inspired by Iris Apfel.
