CHICAGO

Welcome to the 2023 Tableware International Awards of Excellence. Judged by sector experts from designers to suppliers to retailers, this is the sixth year of these annual awards.

This year, 2023 – sees the awards ceremony return to Ambiente – its original home!

The last time a live awards ceremony was hosted was 2020, so we really are thrilled to present the winners of the Tableware International Awards of Excellence in person once again.

This special-edition supplement features the finalists in each of our 13 categories with two categories announced on the night itself –Designer of the Year, and, the Lifetime Achievement Award.

You’ll find three finalists per category: serveware, barware, flatware/cutlery, casual glassware, fine glassware, decorative, coffee/ teaware, metals, hospitality dinnerware, hospitality glassware, casual dinnerware, fine dinnerware and innovation.

On the night of the awards – Sunday 5 February, HoReCa Academy, Hall 11.0 at 6pm – the overall winner of each category will be announced.

This year we saw more than 200 entries from companies as diverse as LSA International to Sieger Design to Vista Alegre.

“We are critically aware of how challenging the past year has been for many companies,” says Tableware International’s editor Mairead Wilmot. “However, we – as a team – are

continually impressed with the quality, creativity, flair and resourcefulness of the tableware industry. That’s just part of the reason we are so pleased to host these awards. It’s an honour for us to facilitate the Awards of Excellence and, on a personal level, I am really looking forward to meeting many of you face to face.”

Likewise, Tableware International’s publisher Paul Yeomans says he is counting down the days until the awards showcase.

“It is really important we host these awards, and that the industry continues to support them. While it was disappointing the pandemic in 2021 and 2022 meant we were unable to put on a physical awards ceremony, to have it return for 2023 really means a lot to the Tableware International team.”

Tableware International’s director Mark Naish adds: “We publish several magazine titles within our group, but I know how tight-knit, in particular, the tableware sector is, and it is a true honour for us to continue to support this global community –not just with our awards, but also with our Tableware International and HoReCa titles.”

Join us for the 2023 Tableware International Awards of Excellence on Sunday 5 February in the HoReCa Academy, Hall 11.0 from 6pm. We look forward to seeing you there.

Denby Pottery Kiln

Kiln tableware by Denby was launched in March 2022 and is a true celebration of British craftsmanship. Kiln has a calming colour palette of chalk white and hues of oatmeal and grey with a hand- decorated freckling glaze effect which makes each piece unique and takes inspiration from studio pottery and nature resembling pebbles found on the beach. The pieces in the Kiln collection are multifunctional with platters which also making useful trays for glasses. The Large Vase is ideal for holding utensils or can be used as a wine cooler in addition to flowers or simply displayed alone. Produced from the fine hardy local Derbyshire stoneware clay which Denby has been using for over 200 years It takes 20 pairs of hands using traditional pottery crafts to create every piece. After forming into a shape followed by a first firing every piece of ‘Kiln’ is enveloped in a unique glaze which is created at Denby and hand applied before a second final firing. In the case of Denby’s new ‘Kiln’ pattern a new hand-glazing technique has been invented!

Designed by Denby’s design manager, Nicola Wilson who explains: “Kiln has been designed to truly celebrate the craftmanship of Denby. Its calming and considered warm neutral hues are combined with hand-spray effects to create a beautiful tactile narrative full of stories. Uncomplicated, multifunctional and timeless”

Designed to make food look tempting, the Kiln by Denby collection stimulates the senses with its tactile glazes, organic shapes, and simplistic beauty. The newly designed items such as bowls and serving pieces with their asymmetric forms and hand-thrown features, sit effortlessly with the place-setting items which have generous sloping sides enabling them to stack comfortably and showcase the freckling glaze effect at its best.

Kiln is produced using Denby’s environmental ethos and was the first pottery to be zero to landfill on process waste and is ISO 14001 accredited which means it has an environmental management system integrated into the business process. Denby has long had its own water treatment plant and each year purifies and returns to the water cycle 20 million litres of process water. With energy consumption which is industry-leading and consistently at least 15 per cent lower than industry targets, there are also plans to improve still further over the coming months. Any excess clay and glaze from the production process is recycled.

As soft in its line as it is strict in its design, The Tending Box is the new collection of implements for the preparation of cocktails designed by Giulio Iacchetti with bartender Oscar Quagliarini. The most classic implements of this discipline are reinterpreted in a balanced synthesis between shape and function: a cocktail shaker, a strainer, a mixing glass, a measure for cocktails, a mixing spoon and whisk in 18/10 stainless steel.

A project that redesigns the very gestures of mixology, introducing new technical features and refined aesthetic details. The objects making up The Tending Box are proposed both individually and in two different sets, to build up, extend or rethink the personal collection as a mixologist.

Ocean Glass Traze www.oceanglass.com

The TRAZE Collection features a trio of cut crystal designs, with three distinctive pattern designs under the theme ‘Impressions between Time’.

The design concept is inspired by the tracings of time, representing styles of art symbolic of each era.

1. TRAZE PST (Past): Inspired by Gothic and Renaissance styles, reflect the beauty of the past to shine, luxury and elegance.

2. TRAZE PRE (Present): Inspired by today’s famous minimalist style. The combination of objects, space and shadows in modern art.

3. TRAZE FTR (Future): Inspired by futuristic concepts through semi-symmetrical geometry creates dimensions and reflection like the starlight in the cosmic sky.

Each aesthetic cut design tells a story, from past to present and present to future, connected through 24 patterns at the bottom of the glass represent 24 hours of every moment.

TRAZE is derived from the word trace, which means “mark,” and is combined with the letter Z to form a specific name. TRAZE is also a cutting glass with a impression of time pattern. The simple starter keyword is time – yesterday, today, and tomorrow, all separated by 24 hours. The classic style of the past, the modern and minimal style of today, and the future innovation world. So we catch up this concept and simplified it into the story of this collection.

And use the caption to bold the concept more majestic “The impression between time”.

“The longer you look at it, the more interesting it gets. On the surface it's just another tumbler set. Look deeper and the design becomes much more interesting.”

BARWARE

www.fuerstenberg-porzellan.com

The tumbler series Beautiful Creatures from SIEGER by FÜRSTENBERG pays tribute to the beauty and variety of animal species. Designer Michael Sieger created five versions that are colourfully decorated with elephants, tigers, polar bears, blue whales and octopuses. The tumblers also send an important message: wild animals living in their natural habitats are endangered and need our protection. That’s why part of the proceeds will be donated to the wildlife rescue organisation National Park Rescue. The wafer-thin porcelain tumblers are meticulously handcrafted and plated with 24-carat gold on the inside, which is applied with exquisite delicacy of touch. In the Porzellanmanufaktur FÜRSTENBERG studios, Michael Sieger’s designs are transformed into products of exceptional quality and fineness. The Beautiful Creatures series was inspired by a tumbler that was created in partnership with Dr. Barbara Sturm in 2021. A portion of proceeds from this model – named Precious Companions –

likewise goes to National Park Rescue.

Michael Sieger designed the Beautiful Creatures tumblers with loving attention to detail. Against the patterned backgrounds, the animals stand out with their own distinctive character. The five animal species come from different parts of the world and represent both the beauty and the vulnerability of nature. These species are endangered by poaching, dwindling habitats and ocean pollution. Polar bears are also emblematic of the dangers of climate change, as rising air and water temperatures pose an extreme threat to their survival.

Human activity threatens our planet’s biodiversity, with over a million plant and animal species now classed as endangered. The Beautiful Creatures series is intended to make a small contribution to tackling a big challenge. It helps to support the organisation National Park Rescue, which actively works for wildlife protection and conservation.

INNOVATION

The range is made from porcelain. It has been inspired by nature itself. The company was inspired by the formation of benzene molecule (C6H6) with a ring of six carbon atoms and considered its simplified symbol of a hexagon with a middle circle in designing the key plates of the range. Instead of the rigid lines curvilinear arcs are used to make the pieces more inviting and unique. Therefore it is a blend of rigid geometry and curves for all the pieces, as with the benzene symbol. Hexagon is a precious geometric shape due to its stability and space saving ability observed everywhere in nature from micro to macro scale. Here the company did not imitate the direct geometry; since sharp corners are easy to get damaged/ cracked in crockery. So, it’s more sustainable than the sharp hexagonal tableware commonly available. This range consists of six pieces of each – dinner plate, salad plate, cereal bowl, tea cup and saucer.

All the shapes in this collection are made by traditional jiggering and jollying ceramic mass production methods. Due to the circular motion of plate making (jiggering), it needs more manual labour to cut off six sides from a circularly made plate to create a hexagon and the company needs to slow down the machine to match the time consumed for manual cutting. However, they have designed the moulds with auto-crack method, which creates a thickness variation to the product. Here the unwanted parts are formed with less thickness and getting cracked along to a given guideline (placed in the mold). When the plate goes through the dryer (with mold) the thinner parts get more dried and get break automatically to result the desired hexagonal plate. It saves labour of two people and does not reduce the machine speed. While the design is inspired from the nature’s most remarkable shape, the range has been developed via minimal labour

NIKKO teamed up with “HERALBONY,” an art lifestyle brand based in Iwate prefecture with the mission “to stand out” and create a new culture with artists from welfare facilities all around Japan, to create this new collaborative series. “To stand out” implies the exceptional sense of colour and ability to concentrate of people with intellectual disabilities. As a Japanese establishment of fine bone China, NIKKO collaborated with HERALBONY to create products that embellish the atmosphere with delicate and refined taste. From processing raw materials down to the final step, NIKKO delivers products made entirely at its in-house Japan factories. The unique porcelain manufacturing technology makes it possible to increase the bone ash content to approximately 50 per cent. This gives NIKKO’s fine bone china a refined pure white colour and unsurpassed translucency. The pure white base makes it possible to faithfully express the works of art.

As a porcelain manufacturer, NIKKO undertakes the challenge to bear responsibility and concern for the environment and the people. One such undertaking is

the collaboration project with HERALBONY. HERALBONY is an experimental welfare unit with the mission “to stand out.” Through the artwork of artists with intellectual disabilities, HERALBONY creates a new culture founded upon welfare to transcend borders that divide people such as prejudice and common sense to deliver something new to society in various shapes and forms. NIKKO reproduced HERALBONY’s artwork with precision onto its signature pure white bone China, created through years of technology. By offering daily-use tableware created together with HERALBONY, they provide a lifestyle where art that “stands out” blends in naturally into people’s daily lives. The #singe_use_planet_cup is a symbolic item for the environmental movement, urging people to take better care of the only earth we have and use as less single-use plastics as possible. By depicting HERALBONY artwork on these cups, they express hope to connect people with people, and people with the environment. NIKKO will continue to depict art that stands out onto its tableware and help to bring to life a new worldview.

Porcelain tableware specially designed to HONOUR our senior citizens and people with physical limitations. With over four years of research and development, it aimed at helping the elderly enjoy happier living in their day-to-day lives. Eating is one of the basic daily routines that we should all be able to do for ourselves, while enjoying the food. Yet with increasing age the elderly has to face with various physical limitations, and can have difficulties with such everyday activities as picking up cups, dishes and utensils. The design has been based on calculations made around mobility issues and also storage. Each bowl is raised in the middle, which allows the food to fall to the side and is perfectly curved for easy, almost effortless scooping even with one hand. The plates are stackable and fit easily into a confined space or onto a trolley used in hospital settings. Each holds an appropriate portion size for an elder, with a spill-proof feature and easy-to-clean material while also microwave oven proof.

The phenomenon of aging society occurs in many countries around the world and that the elderly encountered various health problems contributing to movement dysfunction such as low visual indication, tremors and muscle rigidity. These physical conditions eventually ruin their mental health, including loss of appetite as well as independence. HONOUR is an ideal solution to all elderly dietary problems.

HONOUR is designed with an assistive and functional design of 12 items, featuring ergonomic mugs suitable for both rightand left-handed people, curved plates for effortless scooping, and stackable bowls with multi-purpose lids in four colour sets, that are linked to psychological improvements. All three bowls have scooping curve function to help elderly to easily scoop their food using one hand. While all plate and bowl covers have foot stacks, which allows for easy, secure and neat stacking. Caregivers can serve many stackable dishes on a tray and fits well into a trolley. Lock function minimises storage space and each container’s portion size perfectly fits in the tray slot. Lids can be used as an extra plate for desserts and fruits or a coaster for bowl. They also have a unique spill-proof feature that prevents the elderly from spilling when scooping their soup or rice.

HONOUR is Thailand’s first porcelain product specially designed for people at hospitals and retirement homes. The shiny material has a higher level of heat resistance and density with lower porosity than plastic. It is completely bacteria-free, scratchresistant and microwave-friendly. And it will reduce plastic usage to prevent climate change. This collection is the company’s way of giving back to the society, reinforcing their tagline “We Make Good Life Possible”.

Palladio cutlery accessories

Palladio cutlery has been updated with the addition of a full new line of accessories. Andrea Palladio was a renowned Italian architect of the 16th century who created a new style - known as Palladian architecture. This classic style used ancient Greek and Roman architectural references but interpreted in a more modern way. Palladian architecture was the inspiration for designer Nick Holland in creating this collection for Elia International hence the name Palladio. A collection of functional and elegant accessories have been added to the range. Forged in finest quality 18/10 stainless steel and with an immaculate mirror polished finish, the seven accessory pieces are designed to grace any table. The collection consists of salad servers, steak knife, butter knife, fish knife and fork, pastry fork, coffee spoon and soup spoon. The relationship

between price and exceptionally high quality of manufacture gives great value for money.

The Palladio collection was inspired by the graceful, faceted columns found in Palladian architecture. The bold faceted handles of the range have a weight and heft that give a quality feel to all the pieces and are comfortable in the hand as the underside is gently rounded. A distinctive step detail links the handles to the head parts, which have oval stems. The transition from faceted handle to an oval form requires supreme technical excellence in the art of the production forming process, to achieve a collection of the very highest quality and finish. All the accessories are designed to be functional, elegant and a pleasure to use, with head parts that complement the distinctive faceted handles.

ESSENCA SENSISPLUS

As a traditional glass brand, family- run since 1946, EISCH Germany stands for the design of glass as a creative element of tableware at the highest level. Transferring traditional craftsmanship with innovative ideas into the present with its modern lifestyle, Eberhard and his cousin Julia Eisch are the third generation to run the glassworks.

With ESSENCA SENSISPLUS, the designer Julia Eisch intended a new EISCH SENSISPLUS wine glass series for uncomplicated and entertaining wine enjoyment: 3 glasses for all grape varieties- function and aesthetics for everyday use as well as for special occasions. The connoisseur should not be “prescribed” which glass he “must” use for which grape variety or even colour of wine. He should trust that he can use his own sense of taste to distinguish between light, medium and bold wines. Tasting, smelling, comparing and having fun are the main focus at ESSENCA SENSISPLUS. The exceptionally light and elegant drinking glasses are machine made from brilliant lead-free crystal using the latest technology, which makes the glass look almost mouth-blown. Due to the technology of the pulled stems, the glasses are delicate and yet durable for everyday use. With the EISCH SENSISPLUS feature, which has received a lot of attention in the wine world, the wine shows to advantage its full complexity and its full potential.

The stemware range, including three different glasses, is not limited by grape or colour of the wine - with ESSENCA SENSISPLUS the wine character decides upon the choice of glass: all-round refreshing and light, all-round fruity and aromatic, all-round bold and rich.

The light weight of the finely blown glasses underlines the idea behind the series: simplicity and lightness. ESSENCA SENSISPLUS helps simplifying life, trusting your own sense of taste and bringing out the best of your wine.

Koi, a brand new and unique accessory collection that celebrates the popular Amur Carp (Cyprinus rubrofuscus), native to East Asia. The coloured varieties of the Amur carp, believed to be auspicious, are most popularly kept as decorative pets in outdoor koi ponds or water gardens. The word koi comes from the Japanese for carp 鯉. In Japanese, koi is a homophone for 恋, which means ‘affection’ or ‘love’. Koi is recognised as a symbol of love and friendship in Japanese culture. The collection celebrates the perseverance, strength and endurance of the koi, inspired by its journey against surging currents.

The circle, which is the unifying element across the collection, is designed in the form of a Möbius loop, symbolising infinity and suggesting auspicious flowing water. This is reflected as freestanding rings of the centrepiece and vase, rims to the wealth bowl, tray, hot water bath and wine jug, and the feet on the porcelain wine cups. The collection has more instances of wordplay. 九 鱼 jiǔyú, which means ‘nine fish’ has a similar pronunciation to 久余 jiǔyú and 久余 jiǔyù, which means ‘everlasting balance’ and ‘everlasting abundance’, respectively. Each item in the collection features nine koi, except for the wine cups and the tray. The lively koi, sculpted swimming in unison, are each positioned deliberately to enhance the movement of light shifting across the rings’ sweeping planes. The wooden element of the base is square, a combination which references the Chinese concept of 天圆 地方 tiānyuán dìfāng, or ‘round heaven square earth’. It reflects the early belief of a flat square earth, surrounded by the celestial dome, but can also suggest all-encompassing harmony. Koi’s contemporary treatment of the classic phrases transforms East Asian symbolism into unique accessories for any occasion.

BAU solo tea set

porcelana.com.pl

Designed by Edyta Cieloch, BAU solo is inspired by geometry. The teapot and the cup as one solid form a compact spatial composition. The form is built by cutting and combining basic geometric figures - sphere and cuboid. The form, built by cutting and combining basic geometric figures - a sphere and a cuboid, refers to the still current Bauhaus idea of a composition of simple solids. The set was designed to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus academy of arts and crafts in 2019 and entered into production in 2022 under the Ćmielów Design Studio brand.

The handmade porcelain teapot with cup in Bauhaus style is designed for one person. Material used is hard paste coloured porcelain (blue, rose, gray, graphite, almond, terracotta, green). Kettle 400 ml, 250 ml cup.

The teapot with cup in the Bauhaus style is an example of a new approach to the design of massproduced forms. It is a utilitarian form of everyday use, which can also serve as an element of a small sculptural form, a spatial composition for interior decoration.

Alessi Big Vasque

alessi.com

Designed by Fabrizio Crisà, 2022. Ice tub XXL in 18/10 stainless steel with removable KRION® base. Ø cm 80 - h cm 36 / Ø 31,51” - h 14,18”

‘Big Vasque’ reflects the distinctive traits of the design research of its creator, Fabrizio Crisà: creativity, an aesthetic sense and rationality come together in his designs, responding to people’s emotional needs with rigorous functionality. The soft, curvilinear lines enhance the luminous and reflective nature of steel, an ideal material for this type of object, not least because of its conductive properties, which allow optimal temperature storage of the bottles. Thanks to its strong presence, it can hold about 20 standard bottles, and ease of customisation, which allows for the insertion of special logos or the creation of special colour versions, Big Vasque has also been designed with the Horeca sector in mind. An essential complement for creating a party on a yacht, at a wedding or to make any other important celebration simply special.

Archijewel G.s.One

www.archijewel.be

G.s.One: an Archijewel creation is a co-creation of Dirk Vrints, interior architect and Jo Den Haerynck, jewellery designer.

G.s.One stands for “Gemspoon”. It is a hand jewel/object designed to present masterchefs’ fine dining appetisers as colourful “gemstones”, increasing the intensity, duration and appreciation of tasting these culinary creations.

To be used in restaurants, at receptions and at all kind of parties, including at home.

It is easy to use – you simply slide the object between two fingers of your hand (palm facing up or down). It is one size fits all (adults & children).

It offers the additional convenience of managing simultaneously your drink and appetiser in the same hand. Holding your palm facing up, you can slide the object between pink and ring finger and at the same time hold your glass between forefinger and middle finger. So, an elegant solution for balancing a drink and a bite in one hand and keeping your other hand free.

Before giving it to the individual guest, it can easily be presented on a table. Made of sterling silver in three designs – G.s.One, G.s.Two, G.s.Three, for exclusive high end use. The silver objects have been modelled in 3D-design, 3D- printed and casted according the lost wax method, and finished by hand in our studio. Next to the silver version, G.s.One is also available in a food safe ABS plastic for large scale and/ or more casual use. Production in other materials such as stainless steel or porcelain is under evaluation.

G.s.One is a unique and novel object in between tableware and cutlery. It is a new concept created to elevate the eating experience in restaurants, at receptions and any

appetisers

kind of party, including at home.

While looking and feeling like a hand jewel, it functions at the same time as a small serving dish for fine dining appetisers.

It is also offering an aesthetic and practical solution for simultaneously balancing a drink and a bite in one hand at receptions and parties.

At receptions we noticed that people often pay too little attention to the gastronomic qualities of the appetisers that are served. Although chefs put many hours of work in their culinary creations, it only takes a few seconds to eat it.

In order to increase the appreciation for these delicacies, we aim to slow down the process of taking the appetiser from a plate and eating it, by introducing the G.s.One.

By serving the appetiser on the G.s.One, the guest is prompted to notice colours, textures, smells and flavours before savouring it. Moreover, by downsizing the appetiser to the size of a “gemstone”, the tasting experience is further brought to a higher level. This ritual of slowing down the process of savouring food triggers four senses – first of all the tactile sense, secondly, the visual sense, admiring the colours and shape of the culinary creation. Next to that, it incites to smell the aromas and finally, it triggers the taste with all its flavours and textures, the ultimate apotheosis.

Beatriz Ball SIERRA MODERN

Decorators know that strié is a popular faux painting technique using glazes and special brushes to create a soft and subtle striped texture for interiors. The luxe Strié designs in Beatriz Ball’s SIERRA MODERN Collection pays tribute to the technique with modern metallic finishes and shimmering lined surfaces.

Presented in a shade of champagne gold from the SIERRA MODERN Collection, the selection’s generous with practical bowls and trays that have simple shapes and exquisitely textured surfaces.

Handmade one at a time by skilled artisans in the company’s own foundry, more than 20 different sets of artisan’s hands touch each one of these pieces during their creation process, and are finished using a groundbreaking proprietary process developed by Beatriz that creates new modern metallic finishes and surfaces that are easy-care and practical, as well as jaw-droppingly beautiful

Decorative and functional, the Strié easy-to-use-anywhere shapes can be enjoyed throughout the house, from the kitchen island to the bar, from the vanity to the entry table, with exquisite surfaces that, amazingly, are in fact very sturdy, and can even be washed in commercial dishwashers!

Beatriz Ball’s intensely handmade products employ ecofriendly and sustainable materials and are crafted by artisans who trace a heritage of metalworking for generations. Each an original Beatriz Ball design, sustainably handmade of a top quality, FDA safe, easy-care aluminum alloy.

As the owner and decorator of many homes throughout the years, the designer Beatriz Ball is no stranger to the strié technique.

In the popular faux painting method, a colored glaze is generally rolled over a painted surface and then partially removed by raking the wet glaze with a long-bristled dry brush known as a flogger. The result is a soft and subtle streaked texture that creates a pleasing effect as light caresses its artfully irregular surface.

Beatriz Ball’s homage to this ephemeral decorating technique takes solid form in the sumptuous Strié designs of the metallic golden finishes of the SIERRA MODERN Collection.

As with the painting technique, the play of light on Strie pieces creates an everchanging dance of shadow and light, shimmer and shade.

The shapes are simple and subtly organic. Presented in shimmering gold tones, they are offered in a selection of bowls and trays that are enhanced by their exquisite textured surfaces.

Handmade one at a time by skilled artisans in the company’s own foundry, more than 20 different sets of artisan’s hands touch each one of these gold pieces during their creation process and are finished using a groundbreaking proprietary process developed by Beatriz, that creates new modern metallic finishes and surfaces that are easy-care and practical, as well as jaw-droppingly beautiful.

Both decorative and functional, the Strié items can be enjoyed and displayed and used throughout the home. Guaranteed to add luster to any environment, the versatile items can play multiple roles. A tray might gather mail on the entry table by day and used to pass around appetizers at night; a bowl might hold fresh fruit on the kitchen island and get dressed up as a centerpiece on the dining table for special occasions.

The Strié pieces are a testament to the designer’s dedication and passion to creating handsome, easy-care, and multi-use pieces for the way we live now.

Rydges is a bone china collection specifically made for professional use. It boasts of its delicately designed relief and the beautiful luster of white bone china.

The designer says: ‘This is one of the designs that resulted from our several years of work on the theme of “Respect for Nature”. It visualizes the undulations of the earth, created by sedimentation and orogenic movement, and the dynamic stripes that appear as the Antelope Canyon is eroded by wind and rain. While designing, I imagined what it would be like if the earth were cut out and made into a plate.’

Inspired by natural landscapes, the rhythmical relief carved on the white bone china becomes the best canvas for a chef. The depth and width of each plate is carefully designed to enhance the beauty of the food.

Zwiesel Kristallglas AG Journey

www.zwiesel-glas.com

Journey has been created together with well-known designer Sebastian Herkner. It consists of five sizes: Bordeaux, Burgundy, Allround, White Wine and Champagne. The collection is made in Zwiesel in Germany out of Tritan(R) crystal glass and therefore is particularly brilliant, dishwasher-safe and break-resistant. Three of the sizes contain an effervescence point - thus giving the sparkling wines even better bubbles. The pattern in the stem of Journey also add haptic enjoyment to the sensory experience.

Journey is an hommage to the 150th anniversary of Zwiesel Glas. It combines past, presence and future. The relief in the stemvertical and horizontal lines - even recall a time table showing the different milestones of Zwiesel Glas in our anniversary series. The stems are different to each other. Everyone can add his individual note in the history of Zwiesel Glas. Journey also gives a toast to the next 150 years of Zwiesel Glas. It accompanies Zwiesel Glas on its real journey from the past to the future. Bringing this down to one glass collection is a unique masterpiece created by Sebastian Herkner.
