In pursuit of the exceptional —
Compelled by a relentless pursuit of superlative gemstones and jewellery, it is my pleasure to present this exceptional collection of important diamonds and rare coloured stones. For connoisseurs of design, there is also a rich selection of vintage jewels by Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, David Webb and Bulgari along with covetable contemporary jewels by de Grisogono and Lydia Courteille. Leading the line-up of magnificent white diamond solitaires is a 20.05-carat emerald-cut (lot 82), a 15.31-carat round brilliant-cut (lot 31A), a 14.06-carat emerald-cut (lot 95), a 10.04-carat emerald-cut (lot 68), a 10.00-carat round brilliant-cut (lot 105), and the list goes on. Other exceptional diamond highlights include a pair of cushion-shaped pendant earrings weighing 5.01-carats and 5.09-carats respectively (lot 108), and a 15.51-carat flawless fancy yellow cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut diamond and Argyle fancy pink diamond ring (lot 76). 193 VINTAGE HEUER CAMARO FIRST SERIES CHRONOGRAPH, RARE, COLLECTABLE AND ATTRACTIVE, WITH BLACK 3 REGISTER DIAL, VALJOUX 72, CIRCA 1969 Manufacturer: Heuer Leonidas Year: circa 1969 Reference No.: 7220NT Model: Camaro Material: stainless steel Calibre: valjoux 72 Strap: suede sport type Buckle: stainless steel Dimensions: 37mm x 37mm Signed: case, dial and movement signed NOTE The Heuer Camaro Ref 7220NT was launched in 1968 and was the last series introduced before focus turned to the Chronomatic-powered watches of 1969. The Camaro was never sold with an automatic
movement, and with Heuer focused on selling its new automatic chronograph models, the Camaro slipped out of production in 1972. The Camaro is considered as the most stylish and desirable model of the era. Jack Heuer, a racing afficionado set out to capture the attention of the American consumers with his racing themed models. It was named after the famous Chevrolet Camaro muscle car which was used as the pacecar at the Indianapolis 500 in 1967 and 1969. Further racing themed models represented by later Heuer chronographs include the Carrera, Autavia and Monaco. This is a great example of the First Series Vintage 3 dial Camaro, with its very desirable and unrestored charcoal dial. The famed Valjoux 72 crown wheel chronograph movement is in first-rate mechanical and cosmetic condition. Unquestionably one of the most important and collectable Heuer vintage watch models. $7,500-10,000

In the 1906 Greenwich Observatory Deck Watch Trials this watch was placed 13th out of 102 entries with a score of 48.5 points, an outstanding result amongst competition from some of the finest horologists of the time.
