April 8 In 1948 six weeks after the state of Israel was established, Tuviansky, a captain in the Israeli army and a former major in the British army was arrested. Within four hours he was interrogated, tried, sentenced, executed and his body was thrown into a pit in the ground. Tuviansky was accused of treason because he had innocently supplied a list of vital information to his British boss at the power plant. A year later, Tuviansky was completed exonerated. His executioners were either lightly punished or not at all. Based on a true story.

Thursday, March 1 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Frederic Clay Bartlett designed and built Bonnet House as a winter retreat for his family. This historic house is one of but a few homes and studios of two American artists open to the public. A docent-guided tour will lead us through the rooms of the Main House where we will learn the history of the Birch/Bartlett family and discover the charm and whimsy of this beachfront estate. Following the guided tour of the Main House, a Nature Trail Driver will take us on a 15 minute golf-cart ride around the trail. The Driver will share information about the plants, animals and ecosystems of this 35-acre coastal wilderness. Our second stop is the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts, located inside the Gallery of Amazing Things. One of the most comprehensive collections of British pottery and porcelain in the United States, WMDO also features a spectacular collection of art glass, notably the work of René Lalique and Dale Chihuly. $135 (includes lunch)
