Pilates Matwork $72 Resident • $82 Non-Resident 6
Pilates is much like bringing your car in for an alignment. We realign our tired, overworked and under-worked muscles that have become imbalanced by a life well lived. As we age, these imbalances become more pronounced. We tend to slouch, lose full range of motion and "shrink" a few inches as our spinal column begins to compress. By stretching, lengthening and conditioning our muscles, we gradually work on correcting these imbalances however subtle or pronounced they may be. We initiate the healing process. Additionally, Pilates draws power from your core. The correct use of this powerhouse sets you down the road to recovery as it relieves undue stress placed on arms, legs, shoulders and neck. Judy Whitney has been instructing and practicing Pilates and Yoga for over 25 yrs. As a Personal Trainer, she can fine-tune modifications so that each person can benefit with the exercises performed at their level. We use a mat on the floor for the entire class. Don't let that stop you!!! Judy can coach you Age Day Date Time Where through the process of safely getting up and down from the floor. After one or two sessions, it becomes a non-issue. 60+ Thurs 1/13-3/31 1-1:55pm Zoom

Right Brain Curriculum - Public Speaking Vacation Program $210 Resident • $220 Non-Resident Famously, Americans' number one fear is public speaking while death only ranks number two. They write speeches on subjects of their choice and practice delivering them to the assembled students. As the kids practice in this low-pressure environment, they learn skills like standing up tall, using a loud voice, and making eye contact. We also watch famous and not-so-famous public speakers and critique what is successful and Age Day Date Time Where unsuccessful in their deliveries.
