February Vacation
Viking February Vacation Multi-Sports Clinic The Viking February Vacation Multi-Sports Clinic will introduce kids to a variety of sports, games, and activities. Our games are simple to learn and really fun to play. We like to introduce kids to games that they in turn can bring home and play with their friends. This approach allows kids to focus more on playing and having fun versus listening to a Ages Day Fee Date Time Where laundry list of rules and watching elaborate $160 Res & $170 9am-12pm set ups. All participants receive a Viking 9am-3pm Non-Res T-shirt and trophy!
Right Brain Curriculum - Public Speaking Vacation Program $210 Resident • $220 Non-Resident Famously, Americans' number one fear is public speaking while death only ranks number two. If that's so, this profound fear probably starts at an early age. In our Public Speaking class, we take the fear out of speaking before an audience by getting kids talking in front of a supportive group about things in which they are interested. They write speeches on subjects of their choice and practice delivering them to the assembled students. As the kids practice in this low-pressure environment, they learn skills like standing up tall, using a loud voice, and making eye contact. We also watch famous and not-so-famous public speakers and critique what is successful and Age Day Date Time Where unsuccessful in their deliveries. The class concludes with students creating a TV news broadcast in which 8-11 Tues-Fri 2/22-2/25 9am-12pm Community Center 237 they serve as anchors.
