Portal 2021

As an organisation Llantarnam Grange has been supporting artists and makers since 1966. We aim to support talented young people to realise their ambitions through our work with schools, national initiatives like Criw Celf and with local colleges and universities.

In 2009 we launched an initiative entitled ‘Portal’ to assist new art and craft graduates to establish themselves as practitioners. Since then we have worked with over 200 graduates offering them not only an opportunity to show their work to the public and give them their first experience of inclusion in a publication, but also invaluable practical advice on working as an artist through bespoke mentoring.

‘Portal’ presents work from both BA and MA graduates whose work stretches the boundaries between visual art and craft, exploring materials, processes and new technologies.

‘Portal’ is a key part of Llantarnam Grange’s commitment to create a platform for the next generation of artists and makers and is now more vital than ever. On leaving university, graduates are leaving a community which can be a daunting prospect and Portal aims to be a starting point for them to join a new wider artistic community, learning from others and forming connections with artists, peers, networks and mentors.

Over the last 18 months students have had limited access to a studio and facilities and have had to find new ways to study and create. The pandemic has taken so much away from students, including for many, their final shows and celebrations, so we’re delighted to present the work of these exceptional graduates, whose work explores provoking themes including the pandemic, migratory experiences, tower block safety, climate change, female archetypes and expectations, spirituality and sexual exploitation.

This exhibition is a highlight on our calendar and creates a springboard for the next generation of artists and makers, giving them that crucial first step as practising artists. We have actively aimed to diversify the voices we represent, encouraging applications from students from diverse backgrounds and those living or studying in Wales.

We have been so impressed by the quality and breadth of talent of those who applied and are thrilled to support the next part of their journey. Portal 2021 marks the start of many flourishing careers to come.

In 2020 Tom Pyszczynski said in a journal article titled Terror Management Theory and the Covid-19 Pandemic ‘Awareness of death in an animal with an inherent proclivity for selfpreservation gives rise to an everpresent potential for existential terror.’

We are born into the quicksand to which we will eventually succumb. The inevitability is known, and yet the very same facts of our nature that landed us in this compromised position (the will to survive) demand incessantly a futile struggle to alleviate ourselves of it.

It is this “existential terror” that fuels Alex’s sculptural work, his sculptures are a decoction of his experience of human reality, that of being trapped in a mortal body of which he is too self-aware.

Furthermore, craft is intrinsically connected to our prior successes as a species, thereby both suggesting and confirming our predisposed necessity for craft.

Alex’s artworks are both an enaction of the past and present nature of humanity, and a decoction of an ever-present fascination with it. In the creation of his sculptures Alex experiences the fullest reality of himself.

Booker is a neurodiverse artist and she uses the photographic lens to process grief including events that have affected her life. “The process of taking the camera out and connecting with a scene is a form of therapy, my projects have a very strong personal narrative”.

Making imagery is a way of processing difficulties that come with sensory autism. There is an intention in her work to communicate with the viewer by triggering a memory or inspiration, in the hope that they also feel the benefit of how photography can be used to express emotions, heal and move forward through difficult times.

The project 'Finding My Religion' was born from a need to document the loss of religion and explore the difficulties faced when one does not conform to the traditional ‘religious’ lifestyle.

Yet another church closure in a small Welsh mining community prompted the beginning of what was a painful journey. At the age of twenty, Booker experienced rejection from her church and its parishioners, resulting in deep feelings of shame, over the realisation of her LGBTQ+ status.

The images narrate this emotional experience of abandonment and loss with the intention to help others who have experienced the same ostracisation.

This is also a journey of hope.

Charly Monreal

London Contemporary Dance School, MA multidisciplinary program Developing Artistic Practice

Charly is a BAME interdisciplinary artist working in video, movement and soundscape performances and installations. “I see the material and concepts involved in my work as actants in constant collaboration with the artist. Creating is a constant process of intra-action, decontextualizing them, to present them as vivid entities not entirely reducible to their context and offer a new perspective for the audience.”

Creating spaces where audiences can be challenged and provoked, his practice is informed by his experience in photography, video art, theatre and dance, as well as by his experiences as a migrant. Charly is deeply interested in collaborative and experimental approaches, pushing boundaries to create challenging, contemporary and radical performances.

By exploring underrepresented voices, and their representation in the mainstream narrative, he explores the intersectionality between identity and the effects of orientation and assimilation on migrant bodies.

His work attempts to codify the kinetic language of migration, through drawing out the contradictions and complexities of migrant as a fixed identity.

Decolonizing the mental framework around the concepts of border, territory and migration the work aims to convey the liquidity, insecurity and moveable character of borders.

Liverpool John Moores University, BA Hons Fine Art

‘The Philosophies’ looks at the forgotten identities of the Orisas (Gods and Goddesses) of Ifa, the Yoruba system of spirituality. This body of work was created in order to tackle the often violent stigma faced by Ifa worshippers and to show the plurality of West African identity, something which Abrahamic Christianity quelled in its colonisation of the Yoruba peoples and wider Nigeria.

This work is an acknowledgement of history and the system of ancestral worship that connected the Yoruba people not only to their culture but to land and nature.

‘We Were Not All Kings’ is a collection of clay sculptures made during lockdown as Gold attempted to add tactility and sensory stimulation, something that was direly missed due to Covid-19.

The works progressed from being inspired by organic structures to the civilizations and crowns of Obas (Yoruba Kings).

“These works were made in response to the rhetoric that many Pro-Black groups spread in the diaspora that 'we all descended from Kings and Queens', which is not the whole truth but also holds classist and erasive undertones of those who were craftsmen, farmers, market people, seamstresses and weavers.”

Gold hopes this work can create a bridge between the ‘glories’ of pre-colonial Black Africa and the realities that existed then and in the present, so as to not distance ourselves from the truth of Black African identity by creating fanciful notions of wealth and prestige.

University of South Wales, BA Hons Illustration

Helen is an illustrator based in South Wales who enjoys creating both traditional and digital work, inspired by 90s nostalgia, horror movies and gaming paraphernalia.

Her work predominantly focuses on things she was interested in as a child such as cartoons, games or toys. Helen has a passionate interest in lowbrow and pop surrealist art and has been inspired by artists in that field from a young age. She enjoys juxtaposing dark undertones with pastel or vibrant colour palettes and feels this blends well with the subject matter of her work.

She is also interested in portraiture and likes to recreate people from TV or film in her own creative style.

Hereford College of Arts, BA Hons Artist Blacksmithing

As a craftsman, Jacob’s work explores various metals and uses blacksmithing techniques to create wearable art and jewellery that express his ideologies and interests.

Each piece he creates has care and refinement invested into it to create accurate and detailed outcomes of the utmost quality.

Jacob aims to make visible the forging processes he uses in his work, thereby expressing his love for the craft while also portraying his contextual values.

By using a range of materials, he creates a diverse range of objects, each one being special and unique.

Having a background in engineering, Jacob is accustomed to working with precise tolerances, he carries this philosophy over to blacksmithing and viewers of his work can appreciate the skill and accuracy behind each piece he creates.

Julia Brzozowska

Julia Brzozowska

University of the Arts London; London College of Fashion, BA Fashion Styling and Production

Ozdóbki (Trinkets) is a personal project exploring the connotations associated with female anger in a form of video production and a series of prints, some of which were later fly-posted across London.

Investigating the societal expectations of women’s emotional expression and how it affects them, the project also opens a dialogue on whether a woman is allowed to take up public space and be loud, leaving room for the audience to engage with it on different platforms.

It is also a personal emotional exploration.

Katie Sims

University for the Creative Arts: Farnham, BA Hons Textile Design

Katie’s work is characterised by its exploration of subtle surface tactility, sculptural forms and subdued colour palettes. At the heart of her practice is a desire to capture the beauty and complexity of natural light.

Through experimentation with diverse materials and processes, Katie seeks to translate the interactions between light, surfaces and interior spaces into tangible, crafted objects.

Having previously pursued an education in architecture, she is fascinated by the potential that craft has to enrich our built environments. Katie therefore utilises weaving as an exciting method of construction, pushing the apparent boundaries of the loom in order to handweave three-dimensional forms and surfaces.

Her mixed media textiles respond to the loss of physical touch experienced during the pandemic, a sense that is central to craft practice. She has explored laser-cutting, 3D printing, clay, jesmonite casting and most significantly, on-loom, handwoven quilting techniques, in order to create enhanced tactile surfaces.

She has then considered how light and shadow can be used as mediums to reveal the three-dimensional, tactile qualities of her work when the audience is unable to touch.

Katie’s work seeks to reach out to the senses in ways that are soothing and grounding when safety and protection become priorities.

Klara Sroka

Klara Sroka

Cardiff Metropolitan University, MA Fine Art

Klara’s practice is an exploration of geological transformations of coastal sites, which have been affected by historical human influences. Her site responsive work manifests itself through various temporal sculptural processes which aim to highlight the irreversible shifts within the landscape.

Integral to her research she reclaims found objects and resurrects them to expose their material weaknesses, echoing how its function once contributed to the exploitation and pollution of the land.

She isolates industrial iron fragments found in vacant quarries and constructs artificial environments within the studio to enhance the corrosive process that naturally occurs at the beach. By mixing high concentrations of salt with water, she creates the oxidation process.

Klara’s intention is to uphold the evidence of our historical behaviours.

Materiality has become an investigative process which drives her artwork, her concept of visualising climate change as a series of erosive systems, are perceived as ‘non site’ sculptures, that she creates both within the studio and gallery space.

Lilian Vonda Clare Sutton

Hereford College of Arts, MA Contemporary Crafts

Lilian’s work focuses on the female body and trying to destigmatise the way we view it. She believes that the body is a powerful tool of communication and as such the way we dress and alter our image can be too.

Lilian’s work uses a range of mixed media to explore body image and the effects our society has on ours. She has often designed pieces that can be worn to change and distort the body to project different meanings.

Lilian has focused her MA on exploring the female form and using textures and structure found in nature to depict the body in the 3 archetypal stages of maiden, mother and crone.

Although she primarily works in textiles, she often combines other materials into the pieces she creates. Lilian has found a love of creating lightweight wearable pieces using body casting and jesmonite, a technique she developed throughout the course of her masters and wants to progress further.

She has been exploring using metal and jesmonite with stitch and fabric to depict how we portray and feel about our bodies.

University of Wales Trinity Saint David, BA Surface Pattern

My homeland, Wales, often influences my work, whether her rich culture or her beautiful landscapes. In all my projects, elements of Wales, my country, are interwoven into my practice.

My most recent project explores the feeling of Hiraeth (a Welsh nostalgia, homesickness or longing), a feeling that we will all most certainly have experienced during the last year. I focussed on a small seaside town, New Quay, as my main source of inspiration for this project, as this is the place I feel hiraeth for. I drew my inspiration from studying the landscape, the seascape, the natural environment and the town itself. I had conversations with my family too, that unleashed happy memories of childhood which I turned into abstract images through painting and drawing.

In order to take this further and turn these memories into tangible memories, I used different methods in the textiles room to create a collection of unique textiles. I was inspired by the warmth of Welsh Blankets to experiment with wool and flannel that were dyed, screen printed, and needle felted together to create new and innovative textures. The colours were carefully chosen to remind us of the hues of a sunset reflected on the seascape on a quiet summer’s evening.

The textures created by punching silk and wool together are fresh, yet they remind us of our traditional Welsh textiles, evoking a feeling of hiraeth when touched. The collection of textile pieces have been inspired by my personal reflection of hiraeth, but it is also here to remind others of their connections with their personal hiraeth.

Mashal spent 42 days trailing three women in her family, three sisters, now widowed. She follows, photographs, records, transcribes, measures, imprints, soaks in their presence. The knowledge she seeks contains the intimacy of our bodies, requires letting go of all other priorities and giving over to love, pleasure and care.

It is a knowledge that celebrates what women are, what they know, and how they choose to present themselves, especially to each other. It is knowledge that is co-authored through our living, breathing actions and prizes what is directly felt and carried in the body, not merely canon or textual archive – where the women are noticeably absent.

“I investigate these ideas through making, movement and sitting meditation practices. My research travels readily between the lived, liminal experiences of women in my family and craft practices of South Asia.

My engagement with history is bodily and ongoing. Two tenets anchor the work: that knowledge-seeking is a practice in service of relation, and embodiment is a critical starting point for knowledge.

As a practitioner, I often use a textile or material artefact as a starting point an apt vehicle, a receptacle, a holder.

A textile process is a way of seeking insight - for quieting the discursive mind, finding flow, and letting another intelligence emerge.”

Matthew Lintott

University of the West of England, Bristol, MA Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking

Matthew’s practice is focussed on collaborating with the past: with those that have been forgotten or that which is wild or lost.

I am currently working with ancient inks rehydrated from 200 million year old fossils. This work is inspired by my late father’s alpine photographic collection.

He is a relief printmaker, specialising in woodblock who is drawn to remote and wild places, places that feel both past and present; unanchored in time.

These places are liminal in nature, where we have the chance to explore the ‘wild us’.

The series focuses on collaboration. In a generational sense I am connecting with my father through time, preserving his memory through the pressure of print and developing a composition he began into a different medium.

“Inspiration for my work comes from myth and archetype. My practice begins with drawing, informing the printing process. I incorporate improvisational techniques, intuitive mark making and the use of found materials.Traditional Japanese woodblock techniques have been a major influence, which has led me to print predominantly by hand without the use of a printing press.

In a geological sense I am depicting the landscape with a material preserved and reanimated from it. I print using very lightweight handmade Japanese papers, thin enough to take the ink from the block via manual pressure without needing the force of a press.

My process, although rooted in craft, is experimental as I am keen to see where the boundaries of any medium lay.”

Minhee Kim explores visual language through numerous materials and methods to express subtle emotions, narratives and memories that cannot be easily verbalised.

“My recent projects show an attempt to portray the emotional fragility of the lives of ‘Comfort Women’, who were sex slaves during the Second World War. In particular, I have been trying to comprehend the lives and suffering memories, trauma of the victims.

One of this project series has been selected as a finalists of 2019 Loewe Craft Prize, this work 'Black Paper; Indelible memories' represents a blurred face of a Comfort Woman lies hidden beneath graphite covered tracing paper, but still viewable. The victims are constantly threatened by people who would prefer their stories covered up or distorted.

This work shows that truth ultimately cannot be hidden, and that those who passed away live on in many people’s hearts.

Along with this practice, I have widened my perspective from the specific issue of Comfort Woman towards the fragility that all humans experience in their lives.”

Rosie’s work expresses the personal: the highs and lows of the lived experience, illustrated through an enlivening combination of colour, pattern, figuration and abstraction.

These changeable ceramic compositions are held together with a hand-painted surface, that shines, tempts touch and toys with traditional associations of ceramics.

Through the assemblage of ceramics she presents a hybrid of joy and dark humour to connect and strike resonance to audiences.

Through my work I seek a quality of feeling which titters on the edge of that which is beautiful yet disturbing.”

“Like my drawings, my making is spontaneous and embracing of the accidental. To imitate the human experience I draw from the wealth of language held within the figure providing just enough familiarity before playfully shifting to the unknown.

My dialect is one of opposites, shifting between 2D and 3D, positive and negative, linear and block, yet always with an aim to create narrative.

Carmarthen School of Art, BA Hons Textiles, Knit Weave and Mixed Media

Ruth Petersen’s work focuses on social and political topics. The hand woven textile sculpture represents the recent discovery by the artist that she had previously lived in what is now recognised as a very unsafe building.

The Ledbury Estate in Southwark was built in the late 1960s and includes three high rise tower blocks constructed with the large panel system made of cast concrete. “These blocks are structurally unsound with large cracks running through causing damp but also a massive fire hazard. During construction only twenty percent of the required bolts were put into place between the panels due to financial pressures, serious disregard for the quality of the build. This is represented by the removal of 80% of warp threads between the three woollen panels.

The woollen double cloth panels are a symbol of timelessness and comfort when in actual fact they provide none

of this traditional security. Double cloth is a weaving technique traditionally used for warm heavy weight woollen blankets.

It is not possible to have a conversation about tower block failure without looking at the tragedy that is Grenfell Tower. The outer layer of the sculpture is woven to create a beautiful unprotective layer of protection, melting away. This outer layer is woven from a collection of yarns, wool, steel, gimp, hemp, ramie and monofilament. After being woven it was then set alight. With controlled burning just the skeleton of wires remains where the other fibres have burnt away. There is much talk about the external panels on Grenfell being installed to improve the view for the other residents of Kensington and Chelsea. This work should promote further discussion about what is considered suitable housing for the people of this country.”

The ephemerality and cyclical nature of life is at the core of Vivienne’s textile practice. Her work sits within the genre of narrative stitched textiles and references the figurative, the mythological, nature, female archetypes and the theme of transformation.

“The portrait becomes a shadow of someone who once was, their fleeting youth and beauty symbolised in flowers. Harvest, seeds, barley and pomegranates represent both life force and loss.”

‘UNDER THE SHELL’ follows the chapters Restrain, Quest, and Rebuild.

The film is the journey to listen to the inner voice, and it's an awakening moment of the consciousness about embracing, loving your own body.

“I weaved the digital with physical space in the film to share the surreal, crossover world with people. The dark space in the film is like her deep mind, which is full of loneliness, lack of confidence, afraid about herself and her body.

When I bear the shade, consciousness lights a newer world.

The pure white space symbols her newborn, she touches and feels herself with curiosity. People appear around her are herself, her shadow, her friend, her community, they communicate with dancing, with a smile, with their eye contact.

When I touch my skin, they breathe, and I feel at ease.

When I listen to the language of the space, the message is infinity.

When I open my eyes, a moment of the future is glimpsed.

“Things are based on emptiness.”

Chapter 39, Tao-Tae-Ching, Lao-Tzu. Yusun Won’s artistic aim is to search for the new aspects of things around us.

“Impressed by the sentence, I explore emptiness in things. What I do is reveal an invisible space by dividing vessel forms into two forms.

Through a small space, my work crosses the boundary between everyday objects and art objects.

Space, newly formed between two objects, changes fixed perception in familiar things.

My work is rooted in the richness of vessel forms. Vessels, widely recognized as everyday objects to art objects, have been made from the beginning of civilization.

With such words as ordinary, familiar, and useful, vessels have been humbly considered daily objects. Ironically, it is the firm perception of vessels that makes viewers explore my work from different perspectives.

I make my pieces with coiling, a traditional and labor-intensive process.

Stacking coils slowly, I leave a trace of my time and effort. With my hands, I try to reinterpret original forms and give my pieces new values.

White porcelain, as a material, is important in my work, the most demanding clay, endures the highest temperature to get the purest color.

Whiteness, gained through the tough firing process, not only emphasizes the space between two objects visually but grants new values to my pieces.”

Y ffilm yw'r daith at wrando ar y llais mewnol, ac mae'n foment o ddeffro'r ymwybyddiaeth ynglyn â chofleidio, a charu eich corff eich hun.

Pan fyddaf yn goddef y cysgod, mae ymwybyddiaeth yn goleuo byd mwy newydd.

Pan fyddaf yn cyffwrdd fy nghroen, mae’n anadlu, ac rwy'n teimlo'n ddibryder.

Pan fyddaf yn gwrando ar iaith y gofod, y neges yw anfeidredd.

“Gweais yr elfen ddigidol â gofod ffisegol yn y ffilm er mwyn rhannu'r byd croesi drosodd, swrrealaidd gyda phobl. Mae'r gofod tywyll yn y ffilm yn debyg i'w meddwl dwfn, sy'n llawn unigrwydd, diffyg hyder, ofnau am ei hunan a'i chorff.

Mae'r gofod gwyn, pur yn symbol ohoni’n cael ei geni o’r newydd, mae'n cyffwrdd ac yn ei theimlo'i hun yn chwilfrydig. Y bobl sy'n ymddangos o'i chwmpas yw hi ei hunan, ei chysgod, ei ffrind, ei chymuned, maent yn cyfathrebu drwy ddawns, gwên, cyswllt llygad.

Dilynwch y ffilm i ddechrau eich taith gyda mi.”

Mae ei gwaith yn rhan o’r genre o decstilau wedi'u pwytho naratif ac mae'n cyfeirio at y ffigurol, y mytholegol, natur, archdeipiau benywaidd a thema trawsnewid.

“Mae'r portread yn troi'n gysgod o rywun oedd yn bodoli gynt, eu hieuenctid a'u harddwch diflanedig, sy'n cael eu symboleiddio gan flodau. Mae cynhaeaf, hadau, barlys a phomgranadau’n cynrychioli grym bywyd a cholled.”

Mae gwaith Ruth Peterson yn canolbwyntio ar destunau cymdeithasol a gwleidyddol. Mae'r cerflun o decstilau wedi'u gwehyddu â llaw yn cynrychioli'r darganfyddiad diweddar gan yr artist ei bod wedi byw yn rhywle a gydnabyddir bellach yn adeilad anniogel. Adeiladwyd Stad Ledbury yn Southwark ar ddiwedd y 1960au ac mae'n cynnwys tri thwr uchel o fflatiau a adeiladwyd o baneli mawr o goncrit bwrw. “Mae adeiledd yr adeiladau hyn yn anniogel gyda chraciau mawr drwyddynt sy'n achosi lleithder, ond hefyd perygl tân difrifol. Pan gawsant eu hadeiladu, dim ond ugain y cant o'r bolltau gofynnol gafodd eu gosod rhwng y paneli oherwydd prinder arian, gan ddiystyru ansawdd yr adeilad yn llwyr. Cynrychiolir hyn drwy dynnu 80% o'r edeifion ystof rhwng y tri phanel o wlân.

Mae'r paneli brethyn dwbl gwlân yn symbol o fytholrwydd a chysur, ond mewn gwirionedd nid ydynt yn

darparu dim o'r diogelwch traddodiadol hwn. Mae brethyn dwbl yn dechneg wehyddu a ddefnyddir yn draddodiadol ar gyfer blancedi gwlân trwm, cynnes.

Nid oes modd cynnal sgwrs ynglyn â methiant tyrau o fflatiau heb ystyried trasiedi Twr Grenfell. Mae haen allanol y cerflun wedi'i wehyddu i greu haen hardd o ddiogelwch nad yw'n diogelu, ac sy'n darfod. Gwehyddwyd yr haen allanol hon â chasgliad o edafedd, gwlân, dur, gimp, cywarch, ramie a monoffilament. Ar ôl y gwehyddu fe'i rhoddwyd ar dân. Drwy losgi rheoledig, dim ond ysgerbwd y gwifrau sydd ar ôl lle mae'r ffibrau eraill wedi llosgi.

Mae llawer o sôn bod y paneli allanol ar Grenfell wedi cael eu gosod i wella'r olygfa i breswylwyr eraill Kensington a Chelsea. Dylai'r gwaith hwn danio mwy o drafodaeth ynglyn â'r hyn a ystyrir yn dai addas i bobl y wlad hon.”

Mae gwaith Rosie yn mynegi pethau personol: uchelbwyntiau ac iselbwyntiau'r profiad o fyw, a fynegir trwy gyfuniad symbylol o liw, patrwm, haniaeth a chreu ffigyrau.

Wrth lunio cerameg, mae'n cyflwyno hybrid o lawenydd a hiwmor tywyll i gysylltu a chyseinio â’i chynulleidfaoedd.

Delir y cyfansoddiadau ceramig cyfnewidiol hyn at ei gilydd gan wyneb a baentiwyd â llaw sy'n disgleirio, sy’n gwahodd rhywun i’w gyffwrdd ac sy'n chwarae â'r cysylltiadau traddodiadol mewn cerameg.

Trwy fy ngwaith rwy'n chwilio am fath o deimlad sy'n gwegian ar ymyl yr hyn sy'n hardd ond hefyd yn ysgytiol.”

“Yn union fel fy lluniau, mae fy ngwneud yn ddigymell ac yn croesawu’r damweiniol. I ddynwared y profiad dynol, rwy'n tynnu ar y cyfoeth o iaith sydd o fewn y ffigwr – gan gyfleu'r cynefindra disgwyliedig cyn symud yn chwareus at yr anhysbys.

Mae fy nhafodiaith yn llawn cyferbyniadau, yn symud rhwng 2D a 3D, y cadarnhaol a'r negyddol, llinol a bloc, ond yn anelu bob amser at greu naratif.

Ar y cyd â'r ymarfer hwn, rydw i wedi ehangu fy safbwynt – o fater penodol y Menywod Cysur at y breuder mae'r holl fodau dynol yn ei brofi yn eu bywydau.”

“Mae fy mhrosiectau diweddar yn dangos fy ymgais i bortreadu breuder emosiynol bywydau'r ‘Menywod Cysur’ a oedd yn gaethweision rhyw yn ystod yr Ail Ryfel Byd. Yn benodol, rydw i wedi ceisio deall bywydau, atgofion o ddioddefaint a thrawma'r dioddefwyr.

Mae'r gwaith hwn yn dangos na ellir cuddio'r gwirionedd yn y pen draw, a bod y rhai hynny fu farw yn parhau i fyw yng nghalonnau llawer o bobl.

Mae Minhee Kim yn archwilio iaith weledol trwy nifer o ddeunyddiau a dulliau, i fynegi emosiynau, naratifau ac atgofion cywrain sy’n anodd eu lleisio.

Cafodd un darn o’r gyfres yn y prosiect hwn ei ddewis yn derfynwr ar gyfer Gwobr Grefft Loewe 2019. Mae'r darn hwn, 'Black Paper: Indelible memories', yn dangos wyneb aneglur Menyw Gysur ynghudd dan bapur dargopïo wedi'i orchuddio â graffit, ond sy’n weladwy beth bynnag. Mae'r dioddefwyr dan fygythiad parhaus gan bobl y byddai'n well ganddynt weld eu storïau'n cael eu cuddio neu aflunio.

Mae ymarfer Matthew yn canolbwyntio ar gydweithredu â'r gorffennol: â phobl a anghofiwyd neu bethau sy'n wyllt neu'n golledig.

Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n gweithio gyda hen inciau sydd wedi’u hail-hydradu o ffosiliau 200 miliwn mlwydd oed.

Ysbrydolwyd y gwaith hwn gan gasgliad fy niweddar dad o luniau o'r alpau.

Yn yr ystyr daearegol, rwy'n portreadu'r dirwedd mewn deunydd a gedwid ac a adfywiwyd oddi wrthi. Wrth brintio, rwy’n defnyddio papurau Japaneaidd ysgafn o waith llaw, sy'n ddigon tenau i dderbyn yr inc o'r bloc drwy wasgu â llaw heb fod angen grym gwasg. Er bod fy mhroses wedi'i gwreiddio mewn crefft, mae'n arbrofol hefyd am fy mod yn awyddus i ddarganfod terfynau unrhyw gyfrwng.”

“Daw'r ysbrydoliaeth ar gyfer fy ngwaith o fythau ac archdeipiau. Mae fy ymarfer yn dechrau gyda darlunio, sy'n llywio'r broses argraffu. Rwy'n cynnwys technegau byrfyfyr, gwneud marciau'n sythweledol, ac yn defnyddio deunyddiau hapgael. Mae technegau blociau pren traddodiadol Japaneaidd wedi cael dylanwad mawr arnaf, gan beri i mi brintio â llaw yn bennaf heb ddefnyddio gwasg argraffu.

Mae'r gyfres yn canolbwyntio ar gydweithrediad. Yn yr ystyr cenedliadol, rwy'n ymgysylltu â nhad dros amser, gan gadw'r atgof ohono’n fyw trwy bwysau print a datblygu cyfansoddiad a ddechreuodd yntau mewn cyfrwng gwahanol.

Mae'n wneuthurwr printiau cerfweddol, yn arbenigo mewn blociau pren, ac yn cael ei ddenu i leoedd gwyllt ac anghysbell, lleoedd ag ymdeimlad o'r gorffennol a'r presennol – heb eu hangori mewn amser. Mae'r lleoedd hyn yn drothwyol ym myd natur, lle cawn y cyfle i archwilio'n ‘hunan gwyllt’.

Treuliodd Mashal 42 o ddiwrnodau yn dilyn tair menyw yn ei theulu, tair chwaer sydd bellach yn weddwon.

Mae'n dilyn, tynnu lluniau, cofnodi, mesur, gwasgnodi, ymdrwytho yn eu presenoldeb. Mae'n chwilio am wybodaeth sy'n cynnwys cynefindra â’n cyrff, ac sy'n golygu ildio pob blaenoriaeth arall ac ymroi i gariad, pleser a gofal. Mae'n wybodaeth sy'n dathlu beth yw menywod, beth maen nhw'n gwybod, a sut maen nhw'n dewis eu cyflwyno'u hunain, yn enwedig i'w gilydd.

Mae'n wybodaeth a gaiff ei chydawduro trwy ein byw, ein hanadlu, ac sy'n gwerthfawrogi'r pethau a deimlir yn uniongyrchol ac sydd o fewn y corff, ac nid mewn canon neu archif testunol yn unig – lle mae menywod yn amlwg am eu habsenoldeb.

“Rwy’n ymchwilio i’r syniadau hyn trwy wneud, symud, a gwneud arferion myfyrio ar fy eistedd. Mae fy ymchwil yn symud yn hawdd rhwng profiadau byw, trothwyol menywod yn fy nheulu ac arferion crefft De Asia.

Mae fy ymglymiad wrth hanes yn gorfforol ac yn barhaus. Mae dau ddaliad yn angor i'r gwaith: bod chwilio am wybodaeth yn ymarfer sy'n hyrwyddo perthnasoedd, a bod ymgorffori yn fan cychwyn hanfodol ar gyfer gwybodaeth.

Fel ymarferwr, byddaf yn aml yn defnyddio arteffact o decstilau neu ddefnydd fel man cychwyn – cyfrwng, llestr, cynhwysydd addas. Mae proses decstilau yn ffordd o chwilio am ddirnadaeth – i dawelu'r meddwl cwmpasog, dod o hyd i lif, a chaniatáu i ddeallusrwydd arall ymgodi.”

Yn aml, mae fy mamwlad Cymru yn dylanwadu ar fy ngwaith, boed y diwylliant cyfoethog neu’r tirweddau hardd. Pa bynnag y prosiect, mae elfennau o Gymru gwlad bob amser yn plethu mewn o fewn i’m hymarfer.

Mae fy mhrosiect mwyaf diweddar yn archwilio'r teimlad Hiraeth, teimlad yr ydym i gyd yn bendant wedi’i deimlo yn ystod y flwyddyn ddiwethaf.

Canolbwyntiais ar dref fach ar lan y môr, Cei Newydd, fel fy mhrif ysbrydoliaeth ar gyfer y prosiect hwn, gan mai dyma le rwy’n hiraethu. Cefais ysbrydoliaeth yn astudio’r dirwedd, y morlun, y natur a’r dref ei hun. Cefais sgyrsiau gyda fy nheulu hefyd, gan ddatgloi atgofion melys plentyndod a droais mewn i ddelweddau haniaethol trwy baentio a darlunio.

Gan gymryd hyn ymhellach a throi’r atgofion hyn mewn i atgofion diriaethol, defnyddiais i ddulliau gwahanol yn yr ystafell tecstilau, i greu casgliad o decstilau unigryw. Wedi fy ysbrydoli gan gynhesrwydd y Blancedi Cymreig, arbrofais gyda gwlân a gwlanen, a gafodd eu lliwio, eu printio efo sgrin, a’u pwnio a nodwydd gyda’i gilydd i greu gweadau newydd ac arloesol.

Dewiswyd y lliwiau yn ofalus, i'n hatgoffa o arlliwiau y machlud yn adlewyrchu ar y morlun, ar noson dawel yn y haf. Mae'r gweadau a grëir wrth ddyrnu sidan a gwlân gyda'i gilydd yn ffres ond eto'n hatgoffa o'n tecstilau traddodiadol Cymreig, gan ddwyn i gof y teimlad o hiraeth trwy ei gyffwrdd.

Mae'r casgliad o ddarnau tecstilau wedi'i ysbrydoli gan fy adlewyrchiad personol o hiraeth, ond mae o hefyd yma i atgoffa eraill o'u cysylltiadau a hiraeth personol.

Mae gwaith Lilian yn canolbwyntio ar gorff menywod ac yn ceisio dileu'r warthnodaeth o gwmpas ein canfyddiad ohono. Mae'n credu bod y corff yn erfyn cyfathrebu grymus ac fel y cyfryw gall y ffordd rydym yn gwisgo ac yn newid ein delwedd fod felly hefyd.

Mae gwaith Lilian yn defnyddio amrywiaeth o gyfryngau cymysg i archwilio delwedd y corff a sut mae ein cymdeithas yn effeithio ar hon. Yn aml, mae wedi dylunio darnau y gellir eu gwisgo i newid ac aflunio'r corff er mwyn cyfleu gwahanol ystyron.

Ffocws ei MA oedd archwilio'r ffurf fenywaidd a defnyddio gweadau ac adeileddau o fyd natur i ddarlunio’r corff yn y 3 chyfnod archdeipaidd sef gwyryf, mam a hen wrach. Er ei bod yn gweithio mewn tecstilau’n bennaf, mae hefyd yn cynnwys deunyddiau eraill yn ei darnau. Mae Lilian yn hoff iawn o greu darnau ysgafn i’w gwisgo yn defnyddio castio corff a jesmonit. Mae hon yn dechneg a ddatblygodd drwy gydol ei gradd meistr ac mae eisiau ei datblygu ymhellach.

Mae wedi bod yn archwilio defnyddio metel a jesmonit gyda phwythau a ffabrig i ddarlunio sut rydym yn portreadu ein cyrff a sut rydym yn teimlo amdanynt.

Mae materoliaeth wedi dod yn broses ymchwiliol sy'n llywio’i chelfwaith – ystyrir ei chysyniad o ddarlunio newid hinsawdd fel cyfres o systemau erydol, yn gerfluniau ‘oddi ar y safle’ y mae'n eu creu yn y stiwdio ac yn yr oriel.

Elfen annatod o'i hymchwil yw’r gwrthrychau hapgael mae'n eu casglu a'u hadfywio i ddangos eu gwendidau materol, gan adlewyrchu sut wnaeth eu swyddogaeth gyfrannu at ecsbloetio a llygru'r tir gynt.

Mae'n casglu darnau o haearn diwydiannol o chwareli gwag ac yn creu amgylcheddau artiffisial yn y stiwdio i gyflymu'r broses gyrydu sy'n digwydd yn naturiol ar y traeth. Trwy gymysgu crynodiadau uchel o halen a dwr, mae'n creu'r broses ocsidio. Bwriad Klara yw cadarnhau’r dystiolaeth o’n hymddygiadau hanesyddol.

Mae ymarfer Klara yn archwilio’r newidiadau daearegol ar safleoedd arfordirol, yr effeithiwyd arnynt gan ddylanwadau dynol hanesyddol. Mae ei gwaith, sy'n ymatebol i safle, yn ei amlygu ei hun trwy amrywiol brosesau cerfluniol amserol sy'n ceisio arddangos y newidiadau anghildroadwy yn y dirwedd.

Nodweddir gwaith Katie gan ei archwiliad o gyffyrddadwyedd arwynebau cywrain, ffurfiau cerfluniol a phaletau o liwiau gwannaidd. Wrth wraidd ei hymarfer, mae'r awydd i gipio harddwch a chymhlethdod golau naturiol.

Trwy arbrofi ag amrywiol ddefnyddiau a phrosesau, mae Katie yn ceisio trosi'r rhyngweithiadau rhwng golau, arwynebau a mannau tu mewn yn wrthrychau gweladwy, wedi'u saernïo.

Gan ei bod wedi astudio pensaernïaeth, mae ganddi ddiddordeb mawr yn y potensial sydd gan grefft i gyfoethogi ein hamgylcheddau adeiledig. Felly mae Katie yn defnyddio gwehyddu fel dull cyffrous o saernïo, gan wthio terfynau ymddangosiadol y gwydd er mwyn gwehyddu ffurfiau ac arwynebau tri dimensiwn â llaw.

Mae ei thecstilau cyfryngau cymysg yn ymateb i'r ffordd y collwyd cyffyrddiad corfforol yn ystod y pandemig, sef teimlad sy'n greiddiol i ymarfer crefft.

Mae wedi archwilio torri â laser, printio 3D, clai, bwrw jesmonit, ac yn bwysicaf, technegau cwiltio wedi'i wehyddu â llaw ar y gwydd, er mwyn creu arwynebau cyffyrddol gwell.

Mae hefyd wedi ystyried sut gellir defnyddio golau a chysgod fel cyfryngau i ddangos yr ansoddau tri dimensiwn, cyffyrddol yn ei gwaith pan nad yw ei chynulleidfa’n gallu ei gyffwrdd.

Mae gwaith Katie yn ceisio ymgysylltu â’r synhwyrau mewn ffyrdd sy'n calonogi ac yn tawelu'r meddwl pan fod diogelu a gwarchod yn dod yn flaenoriaethau.

Mae Ozdóbki (Trinkets) yn brosiect personol sy’n archwilio'r cynodiadau sy'n gysylltiedig â dicter menywod mewn cynhyrchiad fideo a chyfres o brintiau, y gosodwyd rhai ohonynt yn anghyfreithlon ar draws Llundain.

Mae'r prosiect yn ymchwilio i’r disgwyliadau cymdeithasol o ran mynegiad emosiynol menywod a sut mae hyn yn effeithio arnynt. Mae hefyd yn agor deialog ar p'un ai ei bod yn ganiataol i fenyw feddiannu man cyhoeddus a gwneud llawer o swn, gan roi cyfleu i'r gynulleidfa ymglymu wrtho ar wahanol blatfformau.

Mae hefyd yn archwiliad emosiynol personol.

Fel crefftwr, mae gwaith Jacob yn archwilio amrywiol fetelau ac yn defnyddio technegau gofannu i greu celf a gemwaith i’w gwisgo sy'n mynegi ei ideolegau a'i ddiddordebau.

Mae gofal a choethder yn amlwg ym mhob un o'i ddarnau – y canlyniad yw gwaith cywir a manwl o'r ansawdd gorau.

Oherwydd ei gefndir mewn peirianneg, mae Jacob yn gyfarwydd â gweithio gyda goddefiannau trachywir, ac mae'n trosglwyddo’r athroniaeth hon i ofannu.

Gall gwylwyr ei waith werthfawrogi'r medr a'r cywirdeb y tu ôl i bob darn mae'n ei greu.

Mae Jacob yn ceisio sicrhau bod y prosesau gofannu mae'n eu defnyddio yn weladwy er mwyn mynegi ei hoffter o'r grefft a chyfleu ei werthoedd cyddestunol. Gan ddefnyddio amrywiol ddeunyddiau, mae'n creu amrywiaeth o wrthrychau, a phob un yn arbennig ac yn unigryw.

Mae Helen yn ddarlunydd o Dde Cymru sy'n mwynhau creu gwaith traddodiadol a digidol a ysbrydolir gan hiraeth am y 90au, ffilmiau arswyd a thaclau hapchwarae.

Mae ei gwaith yn canolbwyntio’n bennaf ar bethau a ymddiddorai ynddynt yn blentyn fel cartwnau, gemau neu deganau. Mae Helen yn frwd dros gelf swrrealaidd pop ac isel-ael ac mae wedi cael ei hysbrydoli gan artistiaid yn y maes hwnnw ers yn ifanc. Mae'n mwynhau cyfosod isliwiau tywyll a phaletau o liwiau pastel neu lachar, ac mae'n teimlo bod hyn yn cyfateb yn dda i gynnwys pwnc ei gwaith.

Mae ganddi ddiddordeb mewn portreadaeth hefyd ac mae'n hoffi ailgreu pobl ar y teledu neu mewn ffilmiau yn ei harddull creadigol ei hun.

Mae ‘The Philosophies’ yn edrych ar hunaniaethau anghofiedig Orisas (Duwiau a Duwiesau) Ifa, y system Iorwbaidd o ysbrydolrwydd. Crëwyd y corff hwn o waith i ymdrin â'r stigma, sydd yn aml yn dreisgar, a wynebir gan addolwyr Ifa, ac i ddangos y lluosogrwydd yn hunaniaeth pobl Gorllewin Affrica. Cafodd hwn ei ffrwyno gan Gristnogaeth Abrahamaidd wrth iddi drefedigaethu pobloedd Iorwba a Nigeria ehangach.

Mae'r gwaith hwn yn cydnabod yr hanes a'r system o addoli hynafiadol a gysylltai pobl Iorwba nid yn unig â'u diwylliant ond hefyd â thir a natur.

Mae ‘We Were Not All Kings’ yn gasgliad o gerfluniau clai a wnaed yn ystod y cyfyngiadau symud wrth i Gold geisio ychwanegu cyffyrddadwyedd a symbyliad synhwyraidd, sef rhywbeth y gwelwyd ei eisiau'n fawr yn ystod Covid-19.

Datblygodd ysbrydoliaeth y gweithiau o adeileddau organig i wareiddiadau a choronau Obas (Brenhinoedd Iorwba).

Nid yw hyn yn gwbl wir ac mae hefyd yn cynnwys isleisiau sy'n diraddio’r ymdeimlad o ddosbarth ac yn anwybyddu'r rhai hynny oedd yn grefftwyr, ffermwyr, pobl marchnad, gwniadwragedd a gwehyddion.”

Mae Gold yn gobeithio y gall y gwaith hwn greu pont rhwng 'ysblanderau' Affrica Ddu cyn gwladychu a'r realitioedd oedd yn bodoli'r adeg honno ac yn awr, fel na fyddwn yn ymbellhau oddi wrth wirionedd hunaniaeth Affrica Du drwy greu syniadau ffansïol o gyfoeth a bri.

Mae Charly yn artist rhyngddisgyblaethol BAME sy'n gweithio drwy fideo, symudiad a gosodiadau a pherfformiadau sainluniau. “Rwy'n ystyried bod y deunydd a'r cysyniadau sydd ynghlwm wrth fy ngwaith yn gyfryngau sy'n cydweithredu'n gyson â'r artist.

Mae creu yn broses barhaus o fewnweithredu, drwy eu tynnu o’u cyddestun a’u cyflwyno fel endidau clir na ellir eu darostwng yn llwyr i'w cyddestun, gan gynnig persbectif newydd i'r gynulleidfa.”

Wrth greu mannau lle gall cynulleidfaoedd gael eu herio a'u pryfocio, caiff ei ymarfer ei lywio gan ei brofiad mewn ffotograffiaeth, celf fideo, theatr a dawns, ynghyd â’i brofiadau fel mudwr.

Mae gan Charly ddiddordeb mawr mewn dulliau cydweithredol ac arbrofol, sy'n gwthio terfynau i greu perfformiadau heriol, cyfoes a radical.

Trwy archwilio lleisiau a dangynrychiolir, a'u cynrychioli yn y naratif prif ffrwd, mae'n archwilio'r croestoriadau rhwng hunaniaeth ac effeithiau cyfeiriadaeth a chydweddiad ar gyrff o fudwyr.

Mae ei waith yn ceisio codeiddio iaith ginetig mudo trwy amlygu gwrthddywediadau a chymhlethdodau’r mudwr fel hunaniaeth sefydlog. Drwy ddad-drefedigaethu'r fframwaith meddyliol o gwmpas y cysyniadau o ffin, tiriogaeth a mudo, mae'r gwaith yn ceisio cyfleu anwadalwch, ansicrwydd a natur symudol ffiniau.

Mae Booker yn artist niwroamrywiol sy'n defnyddio'r lens ffotograffig i brosesu galar, yn cynnwys digwyddiadau sydd wedi effeithio ar ei bywyd hithau. “Mae'r broses o afael yn y camera a chysylltu â golygfa yn fath ar therapi – mae i’m prosiectau naratif personol cryf”.

Mae gwneud delweddau yn ffordd o brosesu’r anawsterau sy'n deillio o awtistiaeth synhwyraidd. Un o nodau ei gwaith yw cyfathrebu â'i gwylwyr trwy ennyn atgof neu ysbrydoliaeth, yn y gobaith y byddan nhw hefyd yn cael budd o’r ffordd y gall ffotograffiaeth fynegi emosiynau, iacháu a helpu i ddygymod â chyfnodau anodd.

Y sbardun ar gyfer y daith, a fu’n un boenus, oedd gweld eglwys arall yn cau mewn cymuned fechan lofaol yng Nghymru. Yn ugain oed, cafodd Booker ei gwrthod gan ei heglwys a'i phlwyfolion, gan arwain i deimladau dwys o gywilydd wrth iddi gadarnhau ei statws LGBTQ+ .

Mae'r delweddau’n disgrifio'r profiad emosiynol o arwahaniad a cholled gyda'r nod o helpu eraill sydd wedi cael eu halltudio yn yr un modd. Mae hon yn daith o obaith hefyd.

Ymgododd y prosiect 'Finding My Religion' o'r angen am ddogfennu colli crefydd ac archwilio'r anawsterau a wynebir pan nad yw rhywun yn cydymffurfio â’r ffordd o fyw ‘grefyddol’ draddodiadol.

Yn 2020, dywedodd Tom Pyszczynski mewn erthygl cyfnodolyn yn dwyn y teitl Y Ddamcaniaeth Rheoli Dychryn a'r Pandemig Covid-19, ‘Mae’r ymwybyddiaeth o farwolaeth mewn anifail sydd â thuedd gynhenid at hunangadwraeth yn ysgogi’r potensial bythol-bresennol o ddychryn dirfodol.’

Cawn ein geni yn y sugndraeth y byddwn yn ildio iddo ymhen amser.

Mae anocheledd hyn yn hysbys, ac eto mae'r union ffeithiau am ein natur sydd wedi’n gosod yn y sefyllfa enbyd hon (yr ewyllys i oroesi) yn ein gyrru’n ddibaid i frwydro’n ofer i ddianc rhagddo.

At hynny, mae cysylltiad cynhenid rhwng crefft â'n llwyddiannau blaenorol fel rhywogaeth – mae hyn yn awgrymu a chadarnhau ein hangen rhagdueddol am grefft.

Mae celfwaith Alex yn fynegiad o natur y ddynoliaeth yn y gorffennol a’r presennol, a hefyd yn crynhoi ei ddiddordeb bythol-bresennol ynddi.

Wrth greu ei gerfluniau mae Alex yn profi'r realiti mwyaf cyflawn ohono’i hunan.

Y “dychryn dirfodol” hwn sy'n megino gwaith cerfluniol Alex, mae ei gerfluniau’n crynhoi ei brofiad o’r realiti dynol, sef cael ein dal mewn corff meidrol y mae'n rhy hunanymwybodol ohono.

Mae'r arddangosfa hon yn un o uchelbwyntiau ein calendr – mae'n sbringfwrdd i’r genhedlaeth nesaf o artistiaid a gwneuthurwyrac yn eu helpu i gyflawni’r cam cyntaf hanfodol fel artistiaid gweithredol. Rydym wedi ymroi i amrywiaethu'r lleisiau a gynrychiolwn, gan annog ceisiadau gan fyfyrwyr o amrywiol gefndiroedd a'r rhai sy'n byw neu'n astudio yng Nghymru.

Rydym wedi rhyfeddu wrth weld ansawdd ac ehangder doniau'r ymgeiswyr hyn, ac rydym yn falch iawn o’ucefnogi ar y rhan nesaf o’u taith. Portal 2021 yw'r cam cyntaf ar gyfer llawer o yrfaoedd llewyrchus yn y dyfodol.

Portal 2021

Fel sefydliad, mae Llantarnam Grange wedi cefnogi artistiaid a gwneuthurwyr ers 1966. Ein nod yw helpu pobl ifanc talentog i wireddu eu huchelgeisiau drwy ein gwaith gydag ysgolion, mentrau cenedlaethol fel Criw Celf, a cholegau a phrifysgolion lleol.

Yn 2009, lansiom fenter o'r enw 'Portal' i helpu graddedigion celf a chrefft newydd i ymsefydlu fel ymarferwyr. Ers hynny, rydym wedi cydweithio gyda dros 200 o raddedigion, gan roi’r cyfle iddynt arddangos eu gwaith i'r cyhoedd a chael eu profiad cyntaf o gael eu cynnwys mewn cyhoeddiad. Rydym hefyd wedi rhoi cyngor ymarferol amhrisiadwy iddynt ynghylch gweithio fel artist, trwy fentora pwrpasol.

Mae ‘Portal’ yn cyflwyno gwaith gan raddedigion BA ac MA sy’n estyn y terfynau rhwng crefft a chelf weledol drwy archwilio deunyddiau, prosesau a thechnolegau newydd.

Mae ‘Portal’ yn rhan allweddol o ymrwymiad Llantarnam Grange i greu platfform ar gyfer y genhedlaeth nesaf o artistiaid a gwneuthurwyr, a heddiw mae hyn yn fwy hanfodol nag erioed. Wrth adael y brifysgol, mae graddedigion yn gadael cymuned a gall hon fod yn broses anodd iawn. Mae Portal yn ceisio darparu man cychwyn i’w helpu i ymuno â chymuned artistig newydd, ehangach, lle gallant ddysgu gan eraill ac ymgysylltu ag artistiaid, cyfoedion, rhwydweithiau a mentoriaid.

Dros y 18 mis diwethaf, mae mynediad myfyrwyr at stiwdio a chyfleusterau wedi bod yn gyfyngedig ac maen nhw wedi gorfod chwilio am ffyrdd newydd o astudio a chreu. Mae'r pandemig wedi amddifadu myfyrwyr o gymaint o bethau, yn cynnwys eu sioeau a’u dathliadau terfynol i lawer. Rydym yn falch iawn felly o gyflwyno gwaith y graddedigion eithriadol hyn, sy’ncynnwys themâu fel y pandemig, profiadau mudo, diogelwch tyrau o fflatiau, newid hinsawdd,
