OBSERVATIONS IN BETWEEN

View at Faรงade

Street View

Zones of Interest

Front Door Sunken in to the building. Creates distance from the street space. Code display, not letting everyone in. Security. To kinds of materials on the lower floor faรงade. Two heavy stone slabs create steps up to the entrance. Distance. Windows over door, give no view to interior.

Hallway Mailboxes to the right. Appartments to each side in the back Narrow, dark. Leads directly to staircase in the back. Windows on staircase well-placed. Still not much light in the hallway itself. Wood detailing on walls has seen better days. One source of artificial light in the hallway.

Bench An attempt at creating a social experience in the buildings immediate surroundings. Chained to a fence, protection against vandalism. The nearby window makes it more of a private space than a public space. You don’t sit down if you don’t belong. Feeble plants along the façade.
