OVER VIEW Taken from the Article 1, point 14 of Law No. 5 of 1990 & Article 1, point 13 of Law No. 5 Year 1990 Taman Nasional Indonesia is a nature conservation area which has original ecosystem, managed by the zoning system which is utilized for research, science, education, support aquaculture, tourism, and recreation. Nature Conservation Area is an area with specific characteristics, both on land and in water which has the function of a life support system protection, preservation of biodiversity of plants and animals, as well as the sustainable use of natural resources and ecosystems. There are 50 Taman Nasional in Indonesian, which is located all in the eight island; Sumatera, Jawa, Bali, Nusatenggara, kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua island. However, there is 13 historical and top National park.

THE LOGO The logo design of Taman Nasional Indonesia symbolizes the concept that encompasses the establishment of dynamic and abstract which is the core element of the brand. The 4 form in the logo is basically explaining that Taman Nasional Indonesia has got to do with sea where the fishes lives, mainland, mountain and a plants. The circle shape of the logo is just to describe an island and simpiflied it to form a shape of round.

imals or plants in each island, but for the primary logo colors itself, it uses a mixture of blue to green because it symbolizes the land and sea, which sums up to form an islands color overall. The resemblance is the use of 3 color for the color schemes in all 13 logo and contain either tint and shade or analogous color.

Champage & Limousines is use to represent Taman Nasional Indonesia identity. Furthermore in subsidiary logo, there are variant of fonts size to state the island name yet still clarify that its a Taman Nasional.

IMPROPER USAGE Become familiar with the correct use of the logo. The integrity of the logo must be respected at all times. Do not stretch, condense or otherwise morph or manipulate it. Do not place logo on an unpleasant colored background or even change the logo color. Any modification of the logo may confuses its meaning and dimishes its impact.

SUBSIDIARY BRANDS There are 13 island in Taman Nasional Indonesia and each one of the possess their own logos. The process in designing these logos follow the same rules, mission and style which is dynamic, abstract and keeping the circle shape of the logo just to describe an island that is simpiflied to form a shape of round. It is strictly prohibited to modify or alter any of these logos.

PHI LOSOPHY

The logo for the Taman Nasional Bali Barat uses the three most significant symbols that best represents this national park; the branch of a tree and a wild grasses which taken by looking on the park itself that is like a forest with so many big trees, with the iconic animal of this place which is the Jalak Bali bird. The colored use in this logo is the color blue taken from the birds part of body color to green that depicts the forest.

For the logo on the left, it is clear that the iconic animal for this Taman Nasional Komdo is a “Komodo� . This national park is mainly mainland with mountains in it and is being illustrate dynamicly in the logo. The color choosen for this logo is taken from the animal color of dark brown-is and simplify it as yellow ochre to bright yellow that depicts the weather this animal would live in.

PHI LOSOPHY

Taman Nasional Ujung Kulon is the habitat of a rhino (Badak Jawa) and this national park is friendly enough that it capture the daily activities of the animal, as shown in this logo where a rhino is eating a grass and a tree leaves that comes from the tree branch as if it falls in the air. Giving the scene of a real park. The color use is ranging from dark to light green just to depict more or less the surroundings of a rhinos habitat although rhinos itself is a grey colored body.

PHI LOSOPHY

The dynamic element of wawes water depicts the low mainland In Taman Nasional Way Kambas that is surrounded by the Way Kambas river and elephant as the iconic animal in Way Kambas. In this park elephant is not just protected but there is so many shows on elephant, here elephant is train and can become smart to put on a circus show. The color used in this logo is dusty blue to light blue color as a simplified from the elephant color of grey to the river color.

PHI LOSOPHY

The logo of Taman Nasional Kayan Mentarang uses a dynamic leopard (Macan Dahan), hanging leaves and a mainland to represent this national park. The leopard is a rare mamals that is being protected in this national park. The color is ranging from dark orange to beige, it is taken from the leopard fur itself plus to show the fierce as the icon of animal in this logo so having a warm color would really suits well.

Orangutan and wild orchid is the most often animals and flowers seen in this region. Simple yet very cleared to be the logo of Taman Nasional Bentuang Karimun. The color of dark brown to maroon red simply represent the real color of orangutan and orchid that has various color.

Gunung Leuser forest is very dense and has got many rare mamals protected and one of them is this elephant from Sumatra, thus, the Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser logo affecttively uses a simplified and dynamic form of elephant, mainland, hills, mountain and bushes to show how dense the forest is. That explain why the color is ranging from dark to light (nearly yellow), color picking it from the forest.

PHI LOSOPHY

The beauty and wealth of of this marine life is nothing else rather than the coral itself. There are many and lots of kind of fish in the sea however the fish that seems to be around the coral is this long nose butterfly fish. Therefore Taman Nasional Wakatobi logo consist of three ellement which is the water, the long nose butterfly fish fin and the colar, yet still look dynamic and simplified. The use of color is following the coral and the fish itself, ranging from orange to yellow.

Although there are a lot of uniqe animals in the sea, however tourist or visitor that is coming to Taman Nasional Bunaken is increasing lately and as they captured photo underwater, there would be this long fin banner fish in the photo. It seemed that this national park have a very high population on this kind of fish.

Overall this logo is the representation of a sea by seeing on the fish, water and seaweed. The color chosen ranging from dark to light color of blue really symbolizes sea as this national park is divided into mainland for only 3% and the rest is a marine habitats.

Taman Nasional Kerinci Seblat has the forest area that is functional to produce useful water to fulfilling the needs of the people who live along the banks of the river and the type of vegetation that characterizes it, one of them and the most famous one is the raffles

flower. As can be seen by the logo on the left, it is formed by three different kind of element which is the raffles flower, the waterfall that continues as a river and a mainland for sure. From the color ranging from red to almost orange color, it is known that the color is purely taken from the flower itself.

Taman Nasional Bukit Barisan Selatan is the honey bear’s habitat and just as to make it sense with the logo made, this national park is a representative of a range of mountains of Bukit Barisan. The color usage on this logo is dark to light purple which is actually taken from the “Bunga Bangkai Jangkung” in its petal/ body part of a flower and a bear that should be black but needed of the dark colors, so instead it sums up to purple as the darkest color.

Having glaciers in the tropical area is the strongest characteristic in this Taman Nasional Lorentz. Not only it has a very complete ecosystem, it also stretches a snow-capped in the mountain peaks. Therefore the logo is a mountain and its peak that covers with a

glaciers and its mainland that covers up by some snow too but is simplied in color, with its additional element of glacier on both side. The color chosen depicts the coldness by having very dark green to most like seen as grey although it is dark blue-ish grey and light grey as the glaciers real color.
