Molly and Me are looking for choir members who would like to be part of a work in progress showing of REQUIEM 21 at The Nightingale Theatre on the 21st Sep 2102, 6pm. Open to people of all ages and experience – Amateurs, professionals and bathroom crooners. We will be exploring a range of music genres from pop, hymns, and absurd ditties to heavy metal. REQUIEM 21 is a show, which will look back on the last twelve years of the 21st century and ask ourselves where have we ended up? With an absurdist ritual of song, text, dance and musical instruments, Molly and Me will dissect each year from 2001 to 2012. It is a playful elegy for our times and we need singing help to bring it all together! The choir will help the audience to sing with us, and will also be part of simple compositions; learning certain melodies and harmonies that play a key role in the show. This is a great opportunity to be part of a project that will be fun. Requiem 21 is supported by the Arts council England and the Danish Arts council. There is the opportunity to continue singing for the project if desired, but not expected, as we will be showing the full production at The Yard, London 2-‐4th October and other venues in 2013. Molly and Me are from Copenhagen and Brighton making singing and performance projects for Europe and the UK. Rehearsal times: Sunday 16th September 4pm-‐ 8pm Friday 21st September 3pm onwards For more information and to sign up please contact: mollyandme@molly-‐and-‐me.com or phone 07720758152
