the Nightingale is changing

Page 1

There will be some changes at the Nightingale in the coming months that we would like you all to be aware of. Like many things in this country at the moment we are in a state of flux. Businesses everywhere are having to adapt, and now the Nightingale will be affected too. The relationship between the Nightingale and the Grand Central Bar and Drink in Brighton will change in December this year. From that time the Nightingale will no longer have access to the accommodation on the top floor of the building. This will naturally affect what we do and how we do it. Most immediately, we will no longer be able to accommodate our treasured live-in caretakers Janine Fletcher and David Sheppeard. Thankfully both will continue to be part of our core team, but in slightly differing capacities. It will also mean that we will no longer be able to extend our invitation for artists to stay with us for periods of residency or performance. We will continue to pass on the benefits afforded to us by the generous patronage of Drink In Brighton. And you will still be able to look forward to our regular programme of fine work made precisely for small beautifully formed venues! We will keep you informed with any new developments. As ever, we thank you for your continued support. Best wishes, The Nightingale Team
