WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND THE STYLING FOR THIS PARTY SHOOT?

Australia’s extensive coastline and strong maritime culture fosters a deep connection and love for the ocean. This Sailebration taps into this connection, allowing little girls to celebrate their coastal heritage with a feminine flair. The inspiration comes from a desire to blend the classic imagery of the sea with softer, more feminine, and fun elements that aren’t usually seen paired together but would surely flutter a little sailor’s heart.

WHAT WERE SOME OF THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THIS SETUP?

This set-up offers a charming and whimsical twist on the usual nautical aesthetic with feminine, floral touches and softer, more delicate elements that are on trend at the moment, such as bows, faux flower arrangements, cute water-colored characters, matching entertainer and a playful color palette.

All reminiscent of seaside blooms, alongside traditional nautical motifs like anchors, sailboats, and a lighthouse. The serpentine table with bow chairs set a perfect base for the cute nautical stationery, favors, cookies, tableware, and craft station.

WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND THE STYLING FOR THIS PARTY SHOOT?

My inspiration for this shoot was drawn from the current bow trend combined with Amelias love for a heart candy theme. We wanted combine the two themes and create something unique.

WHAT WERE SOME OF THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THIS SETUP?

We had some really unique features for this shoot. We had an amazing bubble dome which was such a great idea for the kids to have fun. They are a new and unique way to keep the kids entertained and are easily customisable to your theme. We had customised acrylic vases created by the very talented Studio Letters Another new and unique feature was the roller coaster by Tiny Tots Events, this is so fun for the smaller kids and can be added to any soft play package.

SHARE YOUR TOP TIPS FOR THOSE PLANNING CHILDREN’S PARTIES AND CELEBRATIONS.

The first thing I consider when planning any event is a theme, this will give you direction when creating concepts for all the elements involved. Secondly is entertainment – a party is not a party without something to entertain you and your guests. It’s important to create an experience in order for your event to be a memorable one.

Lastly, it’s important to keep your colour scheme minimal and cohesive. But above all, make it fun! Parties are all about having a good time, so don’t overlook little details that will put a smile on your guests faces.

WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND THE STYLING FOR THIS PARTY SHOOT?

This party was inspired by my childhood of growing up in country Victoria. Memories of visits to Nannas farms with all the family around to celebrate a special occasion. I remember paddocks of long grass and wild flowers, the big old barns and ducks swimming in the dam – and wanted to bring this scene to life as a party theme.

WHAT WERE SOME OF THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THIS SETUP?

Live ducklings, a wild paddock backdrop setup, the picnic baskets and pony barn were all features that made this party so authentic.

WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND THE STYLING FOR THIS PARTY SHOOT?

The inspiration from this photoshoot stems from the beauty found in our local surroundings. How fortunate are we to have such lush parks, gardens and even our own backyards? The styling had to be simple, which is why we opted for an outdoor setup. I love the natural colours present in our environment – the greens, browns and earthy tones. A natural palette was exactly what I envisioned.

WHAT WERE SOME OF THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THIS SETUP?

The soft play set the stage for the children’s entertainment. Despite the limited space it was essential for kids to enjoy the fresh air and playtime on their special day!

The character cutouts introduced a playful element while the backdrops and balloons blended beautifully with the surrounding trees. The favour boxes & tableware added an extra touch of delight to the picnic style set up. And lets not forget about that amazing cake with all those intricate details!

Start with your guest list. This will help determine the venue, cake size and amount of food needed. If hosting at home seems too cramped consider a local hall or park as alternatives. If you are unable to hire a professional photographer ask a family member or friend to help out with capturing these special moments.

WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND THE STYLING FOR THIS PARTY SHOOT?

I’ve always had an affinity for the work of Frida Kahlo and as her self portraits feature floral headwear, I thought it was a great way to connect the vibrant colour theme for Georgia’s party with the fun activity of making flower crowns with her friends.

WHAT WERE SOME OF THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THIS SETUP?

We included the awesome range of cactus from Tiny Tots Event Hire to incorporate the Mexican heritage of Frida Kahlo. Having a fun activity for the teens to work on whilst connecting with their friends was a great way for them to keep busy. They loved making the flower crowns to wear, each creation being unique to them.

Incorporating activities to keep teens engaged with each other and busy creating at the same time can be the key to them feeling relaxed in a new environment. Activities such as flower crown making or floral arranging are perfect for teens who may not have a lot of opportunities for indulging in creativity during their day to day.

Parties are a time for fun, laughter and connecting –keep it simple and pick key elements to speak for themselves. In this case the key elements were colour, vibrancy, Frida and flower crown making. You can see by the kids faces they had lots of fun together!
