WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND THE STYLING FOR THIS PARTY SHOOT?

My inspiration for the shoot was drawn from a colour palette which I saw and instantly loved. The blue & mint green tones worked really well together and I used this as a base for the concept and styling of the set up. The theme centered around a vintage aeroplane first birthday party, and the soft hues reminded me of the open sky and fresh, breezy air. I incorporated these colors throughout the decor, from the table settings to the backdrop and balloons.

WHAT WERE SOME OF THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THIS SETUP?

One of the unique features of this shoot was the balloon clouds. The balloon clusters were made into the shape of clouds and hung from the ceiling. This idea enhanced the backdrop set up and added dimension to the set up.

Another unique feature from the shoot was the handmade hot air balloon backdrop, cloud props and the vintage suitcases. These items really added detail to the theme of the party.

Choose a theme that reflects the child’s personality or interests, and don’t be afraid to put your own spin on the colour scheme or design, that just makes it more unique!

Think about the weather for that time of the year, whether the party should take place outdoors or indoors and determine how you will keep the kids entertained. Whether it be play equipment, games or arts and craft, all of these options can be tailored to suit your party theme and style.

Plan a timeline for the day of the party and ensure you have allocated enough time for your vendors to set up any displays or activities for the event. This will ensure a stress free set up for yourself and the vendors involved.

If it’s your child’s party that you’ve planned, have fun! Once the party starts,forget about all the planning and logistics of the event and be fully present in the moment. Enjoy the experience with your nearest and dearest and admire all of your hard work!

WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND THE STYLING FOR THIS PARTY SHOOT?

The inspiration for the shoot began with the colours of the florals and props for this Christening celebration. I was also inspired by the 2 little twin girls. Having twins is rare and we were lucky to create this for them. Double the smiles and double the cuteness!

WHAT WERE SOME OF THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THIS SETUP?

Some unique features for this setup was the Baptism gowns for both girls provided by Lilys Attic, as both were individually picked for each child and had exquisite detailing. The props from the backdrop to the tableware to the play equipment all helped to bring the theme to life and worked well with the floral design and the colours chosen. The cake played a major role to the overall look with gorgeous details.

WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND THE STYLING FOR THIS PARTY SHOOT?

For the patch party workshop, our inspiration was to create a unique and interactive experience for kids that blended the vibrant energy of the 90s with a modern twist. We wanted to capture the nostalgia of DIY fashion trends from that era while infusing it with contemporary creativity. The idea was to empower children to express their individuality by designing their own denim jackets, caps, and pencil cases with iron-on patchwork art.

WHAT WERE SOME OF THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THIS SETUP?

There were so many stand out features for this setup from the incredible cake to the 90s inspired party favours, to the unique balloon garlands! Other unique features included all the playful table decor, the 3D keyrings, the display of the birthday girls personalised jacket, the custom placemats and the colour scheme.

These elements collectively contributed to a one-of-a-kind party experience that perfectly captured the vibrant spirit of the 90s with a modern twist.

WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND THE STYLING FOR THIS PARTY SHOOT?

My inspiration behind the shoot was to create a soft and girly atmosphere based around the baby pink and white colour palette that flows through the salon of Ma Petite Cherie Kids Spa & Tea. I wanted to create a magical feeling from the moment the kids walked into the salon. A real life ballet experience.

WHAT WERE SOME OF THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THIS SETUP?

One of the unique features was our eye-catching illustration backdrop. This was created completely custom for this shoot and was a real stand out piece. The cake was absolutely beautiful. With a soft pink finish and touches of gold, it 100% fit the design brief. The tableware and favours were all hand made and customised to suit the theme using the illustrations that flowed throughout the styling. Pringle shaker tins and customised colouring books were just some of the amazing range we used in the shoot.

WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND THE STYLING FOR THIS PARTY SHOOT?

The inspiration was drawn from the current trend of a no prop backdrop look with the entire focus on the florals with the original soft colours of pinks and lilacs which always creates a dreamy look! We were also inspired to use the balloon arrangements in a unique way in which they were beautifully created to suit the vibe of this theme for the table arrangements! It highly spoke of floral luxe!

WHAT WERE SOME OF THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THIS SETUP?

Some unique features were creating a minimal main backdrop setup, to draw all the attention to the soft colours of the florals creating a dreamy and luxe look We also had a custom illustration of a floral toile de jouy which was used in different elements throughout: cake, cookies, 3D favour paperie, placemats,and favour labels. Other unique features were the custom made unique table favours which included 3D favour in paperie, bath salts, and candy favours in acrylics for that luxe table setting. With the focus on tablescape, we created a luxe setting by using beautifully designed paperie along with floral arrangements, luxe tableware place settings and many options of favours!

It’s always okay to stick to original colours or themes, but make it unique and always think outside the box! Ask vendors how they can make it a bit more unique and more special specifically to your celebration! WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION BEHIND THE STYLING FOR THIS PARTY SHOOT?

The giant crocodile prop beside the pool served as a bold and playful focal point. We loved how it symbolised the wild and untamed aspect of the bush.

WHAT WERE SOME OF THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THIS SETUP?

Central to the setup was the fabulous outdoor hut that served as the ideal food and drinks station and perfectly aligning the tropical with the bush. The food and drinks all carried the Australian theme with the stand out being our grazing table, featuring the Koala Melon, the Snake Roll and the kids charcuterie board with a Pineapple Crocodile!

Some other unique features were our Mini Crocodile Hunter Jeep and our little Model Sebastian who we dressed up as a mini Steve Irwin to complete the

look! And we can’t not mention the Crocodile Cake! Meticulously crafted with such life-like detail, it’s the best kids party cake i’ve ever seen.

Outsource where you can, so you can enjoy the day celebrating. If you’ve invested in fabulous party decor and entertainment, then having a professional photographer would be worthwhile budgeting for. It’s so hard being the host and the parent to have the time to capture all the amazing moments from the day of your child and the party and you will most likely miss some fabulous moments on camera as you are so involved in the party. That way you’ll have professional images to not only share with friends and family, but can cherish for years to come!
