This month we love all things local. Easy to do when all of Celina showed up for our Bobcats' State Championship win, and Celina keeps showing up. Whether it's cheering on the Bobcat football team to State victory, giving back on the square for Toys for Tots, or supporting our local businesses, Celina is all in.

Loving local means supporting our hometown schools, families, and businesses. It is showing up with a Bobcat heart and "bleeding orange" as the locals say. Celina supports Celina. Celina also has been busy supporting our neighboring towns like Gunter (congrats 3-peat football champs!), Weston, Pilot Point and Prosper. All have something unique to offer. All are easy to highlight!

In this month's "Love Local" issue, we provide another look at that Bobcat football team that won State and our community's heart. We also check in with our senior class at Celina High School and learn how they earned millions of dollars in scholarships by VU Scholarships becoming the first high school in Texas to do so.

We have a chance to hear from local business owners like Jim Scano, Kimberly Dent and Josh and Blair Platt. Hear what all these movers and shakers are doing in our fast growing city. Local artists are on display as well in this issue. We learn about each of their talents and where you can view their work.

We are blessed to be a part of this amazing community we all get to call home. We are rooting for all of you. WE ARE CELINA and we are proud!

Throughout FBC’s 150 years, two things have remained the same, God‘s faithfulness and the sacrifices of His people. “To celebrate 150 years means that God is so faithful. Through the years, His provision, His wisdom, guidance and leading us…that is why this church has remained in this community and serving this community because we serve a great and awesome God” says Valerie Carey, a staff member at First Baptist. Because of the faithfulness of our Lord, and His provision, celebrating 150 years means a lot to not only the staff, but the congregants as well. At FBC, the warm, welcoming community and the peace of God are evident. The Holy Spirit has found

First Baptist Celina has experienced “150 years of God’s faithfulness 1874-2024!” As they remember the past, celebrate the now, and look forward to the future, let’s dive into what the Lord has done over the years. Since opening their doors 150 years ago, they have been under the provision of God. Not many churches can say that they have been earnestly seeking after the Lord and His heart for 150 years, but First Baptist in Celina (FBC) can attest to that. They have seen the Lord‘s faithfulness and goodness displayed throughout their many years of ministry. In a dwelling place that many call home lies a message of history, a reminder of God‘s faithfulness, and the hope of a great future.

The First Baptist Church was first organized on December 12, 1874. Through a group meeting of 12 charter members, history was made. In 1882, the same 12 built a church building just three miles east. At that time, the church was known as “Crossroads Baptist Church of Christ” and in 1902, the town of Celina moved two miles south of what we know today. When the church moved into town, that is when it became “First Baptist Church of Celina”. Fast forward to 1986, FBC was established off of HWY 289 (which is where it stands to this day).

FBC is a cross-generational church that is pastored by Pastor Kevin Lykins. Here is where each generation is met by the love of Jesus. Throughout the years, the people of FBC have noticed that “the older need the energy and excitement of youth, and youth need the wisdom and knowledge of the older folks” as stated by a serving member of the staff. Each generation is cared for, loved on, and treated like family - because in the kingdom of God, we are all family. Being family is a glimpse of heaven and what is to come. Family, community, and home are all aspects of FBC. This is truly a place where anyone, even from different walks of life can come together under one name - Jesus and find the truth that brings life. You don’t have to have it all together, and you don’t have to have all of your ducks in a row to experience the power and the love of Jesus. Along with where they have been and where they are headed, missions have been a core aspect of their 150 years, with local outreaches and missions in Mexico, Africa, and Alaska, FBC is living on a mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus, by impacting the world for His glory through local and global missions. WHAT’S BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE AS AN ARTIST?

As far as writing is concerned, as I have progressed as an artist, writing with my father, Robert Till, as well as songwriters, Dustin and Aubrey Lynn Hendricks, has meant the world to me throughout the years. On the performance side, I have had the great opportunity to build and play with my 5-piece band at many venues.

HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF EVOLVING OVER THE NEXT FEW YEARS?

Traveling and playing music is the main goal to further advance and broaden my audience. Musically, I love the traditional country sound but I also have my own blues and rock flair.

WHAT UPCOMING PROJECTS DO YOU HAVE?

I have a new song “I Loved You First” coming out, as well as a ballad “All You Need” that will be released some time early this year. I also have a live taping “Lone Star Nights with Jeremy” at The Texas Theater on March 27.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CONNECTION TO CELINA.

I always say, “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!” We absolutely love it here. I’m British, born and raised in London, and my corporate career took me, my husband and our son all over the world for many years. Having lived and worked in numerous places around the world, I can honestly say that Celina is an absolute gem of a city.

WHAT INTERESTED YOU ABOUT CANDLE MAKING?

I was a Finance Lead for almost 30 years, and candle making began as a hobby—a creative outlet during a time when I felt overwhelmed and drained by the long hours of corporate life. It became a way for me to reconnect with myself and eventually sparked the desire for a complete career shift. I wanted to leave the corporate world and build something of my own, where I could prioritize independence, work-life balance, and happiness.

TELL US ABOUT SOME OF YOUR RECENT LOCAL PROJECTS.

My most recent projects were Christmas gifts for people. Custom painted cornhole boards are the most popular. I also got the opportunity to make a live edge and epoxy table for a Celina resident that had been trying for two years to find what they wanted.

WHAT INSPIRED YOUR PATH TO BECOMING AN ARTIST?

I used to go out into my dad’s shed with him and tinker around while he was out there. Then after college I started doing more and started seeing what I could come up with. From there, it’s become more of a challenge to myself to see what I can come up with or do.

WHAT PIECE OF ART HAS IMPACTED YOU?

I’d say the art that’s had the biggest impact would be my own. The most impactful pieces are the custom tables I do. Trying to come up with exactly what each customer wants keeps it fun and interesting to make sure no two pieces are exactly the same.

WHAT INSPIRED YOUR PATH TO BECOMING A PHOTOGRAPHER?

I held my first camera at 5 years old and was hooked! The idea of capturing time and telling your story through raw moments brings joy to my soul. It’s the best gift you can give someone.

WHAT’S BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE AS A PHOTOGRAPHER?

When I get to change someone’s view of themselves. To make them feel beautiful and build their self confidence. Nothing beats the moment when you hear someone say, “Wow, I love the way I look! I never like photos of myself!”

HOW DO YOU SEE YOUR WORK EVOLVING OVER THE NEXT FEW YEARS?

I’m hoping to niche down. I’ve explored many different avenues with photography and I believe great things are to come.

It is with great pleasure to announce the Outstanding Student Athletes of the Month as selected by the Celina Independent School District (CISD) Athletic Coaching Team.

The whole town of Celina has been celebrating the State Championship win, and this month the Offensive and Defensive State Championship MVPs are being honored. This month’s selections are Bowe Bentley and Luke Biagini.

Bowe Bentley is a junior at Celina High School and starting quarterback on the varsity football team. He has 3,200 passing yards, 47 passing touchdowns, 900 rushing yards, and 16 rushing touchdowns for the 2024 season. In the championship game, he threw for 265 yards and five passing touchdowns. He received the Offensive MVP of the State Championship game and was selected by the All-American Bowl Selection Committee for the Navy All-American Bowl.

Luke Biagini is a junior at Celina High School and a linebacker and defensive back on the varsity football team. This season, he has 139 tackles with 106 being solo, three sacks, four interceptions, three touchdowns, 19 tackles for loss, and ten pass break ups. In the championship game, Luke had nine tackles, five sacks, and one pick six. For his efforts, Luke has been named the Defensive MVP of the State Championship game, the K104 Beast of the Week, and was nominated for Dave Campbell’s Defensive Player of the Week. His favorite memory from this season is getting a pick six in the championship game and winning state! He says, “The support from family, friends, and the town was amazing! And getting to do it with this team full of friends.”

Both Bowe and Luke have going back and winning state as their goal for the 2025 season. We wish both boys luck heading into their senior year season and can’t wait to see what they accomplish!

Meet Kimberly Dent, Owner Of Celina’s Body Piercing “Holey” Grail

Where pink gothic princess meets the small country town feel, The Pin Cushion has been bringing professional body piercing by an all-female staff to the heart of Celina for the past two years. Co-owner Kimberly Dent says that since opening their shop July 7 of 2022, her love for Celina has only grown.

“We'd always loved the Celina downtown area and the feel,” Dent said. “The city is behind small business and does whatever they can to help small business … just [the community] supporting kids in Celina was a huge thing for us.”

Dent mentioned her love for the city of Celina and her growing love for tattoos and body piercing. She started in the industry in 2006 as a receptionist at a tattoo shop.

“I fell in love with the industry and how it was ever-evolving and constantly changing,” Dent said. “Then I had my daughter, and she was five and asked for her ear lobes to be pierced. I didn't feel comfortable taking her to the traditional tattoo shop.”

So, Dent pierced her herself. From there, she and her husband decided to start their own business.

“I started The Pin Cushion primarily to have a safe space for my daughter and her friends,” Dent said. “I was a Girl Scout leader at the time, and it was easy for the moms to feel comfortable bringing their daughters to come in and get their ears pierced. That's how it all started, and it evolved from there.”

Now, Kimberly and her husband own two tattoo shops and two body piercing studios, with tattoos as his specialty and body piercing as hers. The Pin Cushion started as a small location in Frisco in 2014 with just Kimberly. Ten years later, Dent now proudly employs

17 girls between the two locations. She says empowering women is also important to her.

“We want everybody to be successful, and even though I know that a lot of girls won't be with us forever, it's a good foundation to learn teamwork and to be able to express yourself,” Dent said. “That's important to me, and to have an all-female staff, it's like having a bunch of sisters…”

For Dent, she says creating a safe and friendly environment where her customers feel that they can come ask questions is important. Her commitment has not gone unnoticed in the community of women she has intentionally built.

“I've had little girls that have started coming to me when they were six to get their earlobes pierced, and I still see them to this day,” Dent said. “They'll come into the shop…if they're in town or they've gone to college and come back, they try to stay in touch. I build solid relationships and friendships with people over the years, and so do all of my girls.”

While both are special to her, Kimberly says the Celina location is just the way they like it.

“It's slow and steady. It gives the girls the opportunity to relate with the customers and build friendships with the local community,” Dent said. “We love what we do, and we're very passionate about it. Being in a small town with such great people—it’s been a blessing.”

Celina Veterinary Hospital Building A Relationship With You, Your Pet, And The Community

Jimmy Buffett’s love for his dog inspired the lyrics, “I want you to love me like my dog.” Pets are family, so selecting a veterinarian should necessitate a detailed and careful decision. Drs. Josh and Blair Platt of Celina Veterinary Hospital understand this and believe they have the best clinic for your dog or cat.

“We live here and want to get to know you and your pets.” She continues, “When you see us out in the town, we want you to know how important you are to us and our staff. We hear you.”

Celina Veterinary Hospital is a small animal, general practice vet exclusively focusing on dogs and cats. Dr. Blair Platt says they are like a general practice doctor, able to do a little bit of everything, a mix of well care and sick care. They also offer some urgent care, if needed.

So, what sets the Platts and Celina Veterinary Hospital apart from other veterinarians? In simple terms, Drs. Blair and Josh believe in relationship-based care. They have practiced for many years becoming dissatisfied with veterinary medicine turning more corporate versus individual care. When they decided to open their veterinary hospital, they ranked the pets and pet owners of the highest importance,

independent of corporate franchises. Their goal is to return veterinary medicine to a personalized feel. Dr. Blair Platt explains, “We want to have a genuine relationship with you and your pets.”

The doctors believed this was an ideal business to bring to Celina in June 2024. Having lived in Athens, Texas, and working for a local veterinarian, they were looking for a new community closer to Blair’s parents that had a need for more veterinarians. All it took was lunch at a downtown Celina restaurant, known for its homestyle cooking, to convince the Platts that Celina was the town for them.

Blair states, “We live here and want to get to know you and your pets.” She continues, “When you see us

out in the town, we want you to know how important you are to us and our staff. We hear you.” Drs. Platt and their staff are committed to spending quality time with each animal visit whether for a well visit or if the pet is sick. “Those are our values to build long-lasting, personal, connections with our customers,” says Josh. The staff at Celina Veterinary Hospital are also treated as family with the same mindset. The doctors believe they have the best, hard-working staff with Drew, Scout, Amber, Jenny, and Kelsey, all sharing the intimate approach to pet care.

In their short time in Celina, the vet has embraced the community with support and sponsorships. “We had booths at Oktoberfest, Beware of the Square, and Christmas on the Square, plus are members of the Chamber of Commerce,” notes Blair. “We have a real investment in the community, and the town has been very welcoming,” she continued.

The doctors hope that pet owners will also invest in their pet’s health. A common misperception is omitting a vet visit when a pet is healthy. Dr. Blair corrects that falsehood noting while it is easy for dogs and cats to be healthy for the first five years of their lives, middle age is when problems can arise. At a minimum, an annual well visit is crucial to overall care so any medical issues can be addressed early. Furthermore, while February is known as American Heart Month for humans, it is also essential for dogs and pets. First, heartworm prevention is necessary year-round. The temperatures in Texas during winter months can range from thirty to seventy degrees on any given day thus heartworm disease is always present. Second, just like people, cats and dogs can get heart disease, have valve issues, and

cardiac complications. Dr. Blair reiterates, “The biggest prevention is the annual exam and wellness care to avoid heart disease or to detect it immediately.”

Once more, having an established relationship with a veterinarian can assist in recognizing health concerns. Dr. Josh says that Celina Veterinary Hospital provides personal care exclusive to the industry. “We are old school care bringing veterinary medicine ‘back to the roots’ and earning our reputation back to where it once was,” he maintains.

As graduates of Texas Tech University and Texas A&M Veterinary School, Drs. Josh

and Blair Platt both knew since childhood they wanted to be in the medical field. Josh grew up around horses and even competed in some rodeos. Blair’s dad was a medical doctor, inspiring Blair to work in the medical field in some form. It is their passion and love for animals and medicine that drew them together and ultimately led to the opening of Celina Veterinary Hospital. “Our love for animal medicine is what gives us a particular level of trust working together with pet owners to give the best imaginable care,” says Josh. Like Jimmy Buffett, Drs. Platt hopes that you, too, love them like you love your dog (or cat).

LOCAL LEADER

Most of us know Jim Scano from his service as a Gunter ISD Trustee, Chairman of the Greater Celina Chamber of Commerce, founding member of the Celina Local Business Alliance, or for one of the many local businesses he’s founded, such as Atomic T-Shirts and Signs. No matter how you were introduced to Jim, you are most likely struck by his sincerity, kindness, and love of experiencing the most life has to offer. We sat down with Jim to talk about our community and entrepreneurship.

AS THE OWNER OF SEVERAL SMALL BUSINESSES, WHAT MOTIVATES YOU MOST?

That's difficult to narrow down to one thing. I've been a creator my whole life. Entrepreneurship, to me, is about creativity and problem-solving, which absolutely motivates me and satisfies my creative side. But just as important are the relationships—both within our companies and with the people we serve. A popular term right now is, "solopreneur," someone who sets up and runs a business on their own. That takes immense creativity and self-motivation, but honestly, I couldn’t do it. For me, it’s the team and the connections we build with each other and those we serve that keep me going. The responsibility I feel toward them is what motivates me every day.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS?

Success is deeply personal and relatively different for everyone. For me, success is very much a journey with one of the goals being greater freedom. It's a continuous process of creating a life that aligns with your values and passions, rather than milestones. It's the ability to grow, learn, and maintain balance in all areas of life. On one hand, success is about being content with where you are, while on the other hand, it's continuously working on simply being a better human. Ultimately, success is a personal journey that requires a lot of introspection and self-awareness, but the most important part is that you’re the one defining it—not someone else.

WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ATTRIBUTE OF A LEADER?

The foundation of leadership is trust, credibility, and influence. Therefore, in my opinion, the most important attribute would then

be integrity. When leaders act with integrity, they create a culture of trust where team members feel respected and valued. A leader with integrity should be an example of ethical behavior and accountability. Owning up to mistakes and learning from them. My go-to question during our interview process is, "Aside from the position or title you may have, why should someone follow you?"

HOW DO YOU MANAGE TO BALANCE ALL OF THE COMPETING INTERESTS ON YOUR TIME?

Coffee, an overly optimistic to-do list, and a very forgiving wife! But seriously, balancing competing interests is a struggle for most people. The Senior Class Of Celina High School

Receive Scholarship Offers Through A Partnership With Vu Scholarships

Two hundred and eighty-six students of the CHS class of 2025 were invited to attend a surprise event in mid-December. With families in attendance, the seniors were presented with personalized QR codes that linked them to scholarship offers from more than thirty universities around the United States. Students were presented with combined total scholarship offers of $414 million in awards through a partnership with VU Scholarships.

According to Kathryn Wells, Lead Secondary Counselor, Celina High School is the first Texas high school

to partner with VU Scholarships. The organization exists to encourage and guide high school students toward early college scholarship possibilities. Based on seniors’ class rank and GPA, VU matches scholarship awards to bring high school students college scholarships early to encourage, support, and guide them toward a future they may not know exists.

Ms. Wells said “Some students may have not yet considered going to college and then received offers of admission and scholarships. It was exciting to see families celebrating

and reconsidering post-secondary education. These students are wanted and special enough to receive offers, and it was touching and life-changing”.

VU Scholarships launched in 2015 led by Edward Marquez who saw how athletic students are pursued by college recruiters and wanted to create the same model for academics. His career goal is to help students dream bigger and build systems that equip students to develop their dreams into reality. By exposing students to college scholarship possibilities early, they may recognize their potential and value and have a new point of view about their future.

Because of the VU way of receiving scholarships first, it allows students to think about the new opportunities available to them and encourages them to think outside of what is currently known to them. Similarly, CHS students now have the opportunity to review every offer and if they choose, apply to the schools. More than 8,800 scholarships were presented and have opened the door for these students to dream big.

What students had to say about their experience with the VU and Celina High School partnership:

Rachelle: I saw many opportunities that I could now think about, and it was so surprising to see all the scholarship offers, and now it has me thinking “Maybe I do have a chance." It encouraged me to stay more focused in class and get my grades up. I got many offers, and, after the event, it made me want to study more and possibly get more offers. The event really surprised me, and I truly didn’t think I was going to get the offers like my friends would. When I saw my total offers of $928,112, I was so shocked and my dad really wanted me to accept one of the offers. I am going to continue to work hard to get my grades up and work towards getting offers closer to home. My parents were so proud of me and are so grateful for the opportunities this could open for me.

Jack: I plan to earn my Associate's at Collin College and then transfer to a larger school and this made me feel recognized for the hard work that I’m doing. I think it’s a great program, and it’s going to help a lot of people! I was so surprised at some of the schools and didn’t expect to get as many as I did. It has made me look more into Texas Tech after seeing their offer.

• Red or Russet Potato (for heart)

• Romaine Lettuce (for rose)

• Acrylic Paint

Instructions for Heart Prints

1. Cut the potato in half. Using a small knife, carefully carve a heart shape onto the flat side of the potato. Carve freestyle or use the free template under “DIY Stationery” on the blog at silvertoothhome.com/ blog/diy-stationery. Even when using the template, each carving will come out as unique art like the ones you see here.

2. With a paint brush, apply paint to the heart shape on the potato.

3. Stamp the potato heart onto blank stationery.

4. Set aside until completely dry.

Instructions for Rose Prints

1. Cut the end off of romaine lettuce. Set leaves aside and use the stem.

2. Using a paintbrush, apply paint to the lettuce stem.

3. Stamp the lettuce “rose” onto blank stationery.

Once your stationery is completely dry it is time to add beautiful Valentine’s Day lettering. If you have beautiful handwriting then draw free hand. If you’re not as confident use a light box and my hand lettering template (found on the blog at SilvertoothHome.com/blog/DIYstationery) to transfer lettering onto the stationery. To do this, first lay the hand lettering template on a light box with the stationery on top. Then trace the hand lettering onto the stationery with a pen or marker of choice.

Celina Bobcats Are The 2024 4A Division 1 State Champions

The Celina Bobcats completed a remarkable 2024 football season, culminating in their ninth state championship, their first since 2007. They achieved an undefeated record, showcasing dominance throughout the season winning games by an average of 34.7 points. In the Texas 4A Division I state championship game, held at AT&T Stadium, Celina triumphed over Kilgore with a decisive 55-21 victory.

Junior quarterback Bowe Bentley led the offensive charge, completing 9 of 14 passes for 265 yards and five touchdowns, earning him the Offensive Player of the Game honor. Wide receiver Colton Rodriguez was his primary target, amassing 147 yards and two touchdowns on five receptions. The Bobcats' defense was equally formidable, recording two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown by Luke Biagini, who was named Defensive Player of the Game.

This championship victory ties Celina with Katy and Richland Springs for the third-most state titles in Texas high school football history. The Bobcats' return to prominence underscores their storied legacy and commitment to excellence in Texas high school football.

INGREDIENTS

• Ripe Pear

• Prosciutto

• Burrata

• Lemon Zest

• Extra Virgin Olive Oil

• Dried Figs

• Red Pepper Flakes

DIRECTIONS

1. Slice the ripe pear into thin slices.

2. Arrange pear slices on a plate, creating a base for the salad.

3. Nestle slices of prosciutto in-between pear slices, a perfect combo of sweet and savory.

4. Tear the burrata into bite-sized pieces and scatter them over the salad adding a velvety creaminess to the ensemble.

5. Grate fresh lemon zest over the entire salad, infusing it with citrus flavor.

6. Top with fresh basil, figs and pepper flakes.

7. Finish by generously drizzling extra virgin olive oil over the salad, creating a silky texture that ties it all together.

Scottsdale is a city located in Metro Phoenix in Arizona, which as a whole is nicknamed “The Valley of the Sun” for its more than 330 days of sun each year—one of the reasons the area is a draw for visitors. With few rainy days, it’s easy to plan your daily activities without worry. Yes, though, the summer gets hot. But the rest of the year? Perfection.

Heading north are open-air shopping destinations Scottsdale Quarter and Kierland Commons , which sit across the street from each other. Like golf? There are more than 200 golf courses in the Scottsdale area. Whether you’re a pro or just starting out, there is a course for you. One of the most popular in the area is the TPC Scottsdale as it is the locale of the WM Phoenix Open, the most-attended golf tournament in the world.

For most of the year, Scottsdale boasts warm temperatures, making spending a day splashing in a pool a perfect choice. Many local resorts have pool areas that feature fun extras such as water slides, lazy rivers, and even a cooled sand beach. And even if you’re not an on-site guest, you can often purchase a day pass to be on-site through ResortPass.com.

Of course, there’s also plenty of outdoor recreation in Scottsdale. Pinnacle Peak in North Scottsdale is a popular mountain to hike (as is the iconic Camelback Mountain, which is located in nearby Phoenix), and the Indian Bend Wash Greenbelt is a park and trail system spread over 11 miles. Kids love McCormickStillman Railroad Park , which boasts a small-scale train that circles the park and plenty of play areas.

A destination filled with numerous attractions is A rizona Boardwalk , a center that includes Butterfly Wonderland , OdySea Aquarium , Ripley’s Believe It or Not! , Museum of Illusions , and more.

CULTURE

The beauty of Scottsdale’s Sonoran Desert led famed architect, Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959), to build Taliesin West , his winter home and desert laboratory, in a mountainside in East Scottsdale. Today, there are daily tours of the UNESCO World Heritage site, and events are offered often.

However, Wright’s architecture isn’t the only art in the area. Beyond the Arts District in Downtown Scottsdale, there is public art all around the city, from sculptures to murals, so definitely keep your eyes open!

There are also museums such as Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West , a Smithsonian Affiliate, which showcases items from the Greater Western region, and the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art , affectionately known as SMoCA.

On Thursday evenings, there’s a free public ArtWalk in the Arts District, where galleries stay open later. Wander the streets and galleries, often against a backdrop of live music and even artist appearances.

From mom-and-pop restaurants to those run by James Beard Award-winning chefs and celebrity chefs, Scottsdale has it all. Auto enthusiasts flock here for Auto Week , which includes the famous Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction . In late February and through March, the MLB’s Spring Training takes over the Valley, with Scottsdale Stadium becoming the home of the San Francisco Giants. There’s showmanship at the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show and rivalry on the field at the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Classic , which draws players from around the world and features polo matches, a fashion show, parties, and more. And in 2025, Art Week , the next big event in the art world, debuts in Scottsdale.

While there’s so much to do, see, and experience in Scottsdale proper, there’s also much to see nearby. Make sure to experience the Musical Instrument Museum (affectionately known as the MIM), which is the world’s only global instrument museum. Desert Botanical Garden features an array of desert plants, and Phoenix Art Museum has an impressive collection of art.
