REDEFINING THE HOLIDAY TABLE WITH REGALYA

Styled by With Love, Inc.

For centuries, the holiday table has been the heart of family gatherings, where shared meals become cherished memories, and the warmth of the season is felt in every detail. It’s where generations come together, stories are passed down, and traditions are celebrated. The sight of a beautifully set table—a shimmering centerpiece, candlelight dancing off fine china, the aroma of a feast wafting through the air—has long symbolized the magic of the holidays. Yet, setting a table that is both timeless and modern has often been elusive. Traditional holiday china can feel dated—fine for the past, but lacking the vibrancy of the present. Regalya, a Palm Beach-based luxury fine bone china brand, offers a refreshing vision: a table that celebrates both tradition and the beauty of today.

Regalya’s Holiday collection captures the magic of the season with a sophisticated yet contemporary approach to holiday tableware. With subtle, elegant patterns and refined details, each piece reflects the spirit of gathering—a celebration of family and connection. The deep, rich tones and thoughtful craftsmanship create a festive table setting that is both striking and inviting.

Rooted in tradition but powered by cutting-edge technology, Regalya’s collections inspire a modern heritage. For those seeking exclusivity, the brand provides customizable options that elevate any occasion, from intimate dinners to grand celebrations. The Emblem Collection provides stylish solutions for monograms and family names, while bespoke collaborations allow customers to design tableware as unique as they are.

“At Regalya, we believe fine bone china should tell a story—your story,” says Jessica Swift, owner and co-founder. “Whether it’s a family crest or a pattern inspired by cherished memories, our custom pieces are designed to become part of your legacy, creating moments that will be treasured for generations.”

Bespoke fine bone china is not only a beautiful addition to your holiday table but also the ultimate luxury gift. For the person in your life who has everything—or is simply hard to shop for—a custom china set transforms an item of utility into something deeply personal and extraordinary. It’s a gift that speaks to elegance, thoughtfulness, and the value of lasting memories.

These are the plates that bring loved ones together, year after year. Not the china you pull from a dusty cabinet once in a blue moon, but pieces that feel alive—created to celebrate both the old and the new, all while honoring the ritual of gathering around the table. The clinking of glasses, the shared laughter, and the memories made over meals become the real decorations, while the china serves as a canvas for the stories unfolding around it. And in a world that moves all too quickly, Regalya’s designs offer a moment to pause, to reflect, and to cherish what matters most.

SUNSHINE CALLS BRIGHTEN LIVES FOR ISOLATED SENIORS AND DISABLED ADULTS.

The holidays, often seen as a time of joy and togetherness, can be profoundly lonely for seniors, disabled adults, and those living in isolation. For many, silence replaces warmth and laughter. The Sunshine program from 211 Palm Beach/Treasure Coast offers a lifeline, providing free daily phone calls that bring companionship and critical well-being checks.

“We are aware that there are seniors in our community who truly have no one to look after them. They live alone and are isolated,”

says Sharon L’Herrou, President and CEO of 211 Palm Beach & Treasure Coast. “These free daily Sunshine calls help brighten the lives of isolated seniors, as well as those who are housebound or disabled. Sunshine calls are life-saving, as they provide a quick hello and well-being check every day.”

Imagine an elderly woman, living alone, her family scattered across the country. Each morning, the Sunshine call brings comfort and a sense of belonging, a small but meaningful connection that reminds her someone cares.

Social isolation, especially during the holidays, can significantly affect emotional and physical health. The consistency of these daily calls helps build relationships between volunteers and participants, ensuring these individuals feel supported, care for, and part of the community.

Beyond the Sunshine program, 211 offers a range of services to help those in need.

“For over 50 years, 211 has been the only free and confidential Crisis Hotline and Community Helpline serving Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast,” L’Herrou explains. “Our invaluable resources cover wide-ranging programs and services throughout the area that help people of all ages—whether in severe crisis or simply in need of encouragement and support.”

“Sunshine calls are life-saving, as they provide a quick hello and well-being check every day.”

During this season of giving, programs like Sunshine remind us of the deeper meaning of the holidays: compassion, generosity, and the importance of connection. A simple phone call can bring warmth, hope, and a touch of holiday magic to those who need it most.

CELEBRATING CHANUKAH AT THE COLONY HOTEL

Set against the stylish backdrop of The Colony Hotel, Palm Beach’s most iconic pink landmark, the Chanukah Soirée on December 29th promises to be an evening of sophistication, tradition, and community spirit. Co-hosted by The Chabad House and The Colony, this highly anticipated event has become a highlight of the holiday season for many, drawing some of Palm Beach’s most discerning guests for a night filled with meaning under the palms.

After enjoying a gourmet kosher dinner, attendees will also indulge in sufganiyot (doughnuts) and crispy latkes,

symbolizing the miraculous oil that kept the menorah in the Holy Temple burning for eight nights. The menu honors tradition, while the ambiance and impeccable service reflect the timeless elegance of Palm Beach.

What makes this event so special, however, is its history of resilience. Rabbi Zalman Levitin recalls, "The Chanukah Soirée was born out of the Covid-19 pandemic when outdoor gatherings were the only option, and The Colony Hotel, truly a community enterprise, opened their gates to the East Garden for an outdoor

Chanukah celebration." Since then, the event has flourished, becoming one of the most beloved occasions of the season.

Throughout the evening, the hotel’s East Garden will be alive with festive energy. Children will enjoy their own program while adults are entertained by an illusionist. As the evening progresses, Rabbi Levitin will lead the menorah lighting ceremony, accompanied by the Palm Beach Jewish Children’s Choir.

As Palm Beachers prepare to celebrate the Festival of Lights, Rabbi Levitin reflects on the deeper meaning of the menorah lighting: "The light of the Menorah teaches us that just like one small flame can dispel much darkness, your small, even unseen, acts of goodness and kindness can transform the world."

Hindel Levitin's Sizzling Potato Latkes

Ingredients:

• 5 large potatoes, peeled

• 1 large onion

• 3 eggs

• 1/3 cup flour

• 2 tsp. salt

• 1/4 tsp. pepper

• 3/4 cup oil for frying

Instructions:

1. Grate potatoes and onion using a fine grater or food processor. Strain excess water.

2. Combine potatoes, onion, eggs, flour, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat, then drop large spoonfuls of batter into hot oil. Fry for about 4 minutes per side until golden. Serve with applesauce.

Variations:

For Zucchini Latkes: Substitute 5 zucchini and 5 carrots for the potatoes.

For Sweet Potato Latkes: Use 5 sweet potatoes for a softer, flavorful latke.

Reservations for the Chanukah Soiree can be made at palmbeachjewish.com/chanukah or by calling 561-420-5000.

Making Spirits

JOIN OUR MISSION TO SPREAD WARMTH AND COMPASSION BY NOMINATING SOMEONE WHO DESERVES A CHRISTMAS BLESSING

“We believe in giving back and serving the communities where we live in a real and tangible way.”

As the Christmas season approaches, we’re reminded of the power of community and kindness. This year, through City Lifestyle’s nonprofit, The Kingdom Building Foundation, we will help people who may be struggling quietly without the support they need. But we need your help to find them.

Over the past three years, this campaign has grown into something truly beautiful, touching the lives of more than 150 families nationwide last year alone. Each year, we’ve seen firsthand how generosity can bring relief, hope, and a renewed sense of faith in others.

One person we had the opportunity to help was an 11-year-old boy diagnosed with a rare eye cancer. After he had to undergo chemotherapy and surgery to remove his eye, his doctors recommended a prosthetic one, but insurance wouldn’t cover the cost, calling it “cosmetic.” When we heard his story, we knew we had to help. Because of this campaign, he got his prosthetic eye and a piece of his childhood back with it.

Another was a wife and mother of two who fought a yearlong health battle and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Just days before Christmas, she underwent surgery but passed away due to complications. Before her surgery, she received one of our cards and, in tears, told us this gift gave her some peace, knowing her family would have help in the difficult times ahead. It wasn’t just about the financial support but knowing that someone cared.

These stories remind us why this campaign is so meaningful. It’s not just

about writing checks; it’s about telling people they aren’t forgotten and that someone is there to lend a hand. It’s about giving families a moment of relief when the world feels unbearable.

“We believe in giving back and serving the communities where we live in a real and tangible way,” says Steven Schowengerdt, CEO and founder of City Lifestyle. “This Giving Campaign is about personally impacting the lives of people we know with an unexpected check in the mail just to say that someone thought of them this holiday season.”

Together with Matthew Perry, President, Steven adds that the gratitude from recipients was overwhelming, affirming this tradition’s importance. “We believe God has blessed our company with success,” Matthew adds, “so we want to be a blessing to others.”

We know many more people could use a little help this Christmas, and that’s where you come in. Do you know someone who could use a blessing? We want to hear about them.

To nominate someone, scan the QR code or follow @CityLifestyle on Instagram, where you’ll find the form in our bio. Nominations are open from November 27 to December 10, 2024. Let’s bring hope to those who need it most.

The City Lifestyle Giving Campaign is completely confidential. No identities will be revealed or publicized. All entries will be read, and selections and the amount given to each recipient will be based on the severity of the need. For more information, visit KingdomBuildingFoundation.org
