Edit a Portrait Group (for a group or single person) Manage Images (category) Portrait groups reflect the subject names and group assignments provided by your school. If your school is using the Lifetouch Portal, the groups in your Yearbook website will reflect any updates made in the Lifetouch Portal. Once the subjects are photographed, both the Original and Retake image will appear with their subject record. Editing an existing portrait group is useful when the students or staff in the group have changed. For example, a new student who joins the class after Picture Retake Day or a temporary staff member who becomes permanent halfway through the school year. The View Group Types selected by default on the Manage Portrait Images screen is determined by the Sort Order for Portrait Flow setting on the Contract & Book Settings screen. đ&#x;“šDefinition: A subject refers to a student or staff member within your school A subject record is the information related to that person: their name, groups, and portrait image. Whether you are adding, removing or editing a portrait to an existing portrait group, these tasks all start from the Edit Group screen. See the Access the Edit Group Screen section below for these steps.

Edit a Subject This function allows you to edit the details of an image.

From the Edit Group screen, click the subject’s name. o The Edit Subject Information dialog box displays.

Update the desired information. o đ&#x;’ĄTip: If the subject has more than one portrait, the portrait with the green border and labeled Yearbook Image will display in the yearbook. 3. Click Save. o The Edit Subject Information dialog box closes and all changes to the subject record are saved. 2.

Remove Subjects from the Group This function allows you to remove an image from the current group. 2

From the Edit Group screen, click on the portrait to remove to select it. 2


The record is selected with a green box and the words Remove From This Group. đ&#x;’ĄTip for selecting multiple images: Hold down SHIFT to select an adjacent group of images. Hold down CTRL or Command to select multiple individual images from the same location. 2. Click Remove Subjects. o The Remove Subjects dialog box displays. o o

Click OK. o The Remove Subjects dialog box closes and the record is removed from the group.

Add Subjects to the Group This function allows you to add additional subject records to the current group.

From the Edit Group screen, click Add Subjects. o The Add Subject(s) to Group [Name] dialog box displays.

OR o Select the class or group to add from the Select Group drop-down. â–Ş Once you have entered a name or selected a group, the image se arch results display. 3. Click Add to Group. o The images display in the Create New Group screen for the new group. 2.

The Edit Subject Information dialog box closes and all changes to the subject record are saved.

Upload a New Record to the Group This function allows you to upload a new subject record (not in your library) to the current group.

From the Edit Group screen, click New Record. o The Create New Record screen displays.

Enter the subject’s first and last name in the appropriate Yearbook Name fields. Select if the subject is a student or staff using the Subject Type radio button. Click the Upload Image box to search for and select the subject’s portrait. 5

đ&#x;’ĄTip: Use an image with a similar background and subject size as the rest of the portraits in the group. (Optional) If the new portrait should be added to multiple groups, include additional groups using the Select Group drop-down and clicking Add.

(Optional) To remove a group from the Group Affiliation list, click Remove for that group.

Access the Edit Group Screen

1. From the Menu, hover over Manage Images and select Portrait Images. o The Manage Portrait Images screen displays. 2. Scroll and click the group name to edit from the Group Name column. o The Edit Group screen displays.
